The Priest of Complete Dispel ~ Every Time I Save a Cursed Beautiful Girl with My Status Abnormal Cure Skill, For Some Reason Her Dependence on Me Maxes Out ~ - Chapter 66.1: To the Capital
Chapter 66.1: To the Capital
In the end, I decided to stick around the adventure city of Hares for about another month even after the Sword礼 Festival wrapped up.
The multiple wyvern magic stones I sold to the guild came out to a total of ten holy gold coins.
That’s roughly ten million yen, give or take.
An amount I never would’ve even come close to touching in my previous life, so I seriously doubted my eyes for a second.
In other words… every single time I used the Lewd Curse, hundreds of thousands of yen were basically going poof.
…Even now it really hits me how wasteful that was.
They said I could pick up the money through another guild branch, so I just withdrew what I needed for the time being.
During that stay, Bulldog’s crimes finally came out in the open, and the upper ranks of the church ordered his faction to be dismantled.
In the end we never did figure out exactly who it was that put the Uglification curse on him.
I was worried about Mariel, so I stopped by the clinic where she worked.
I figured she’d be pretty crushed after being betrayed by someone she trusted, but—
The girl herself was actually surprisingly chill about the whole thing.
Apparently Alaster—the pig-looking guy—was the one taking care of cleaning up the mess left by Bulldog’s faction.
The followers who’d only joined because they were after a hot guy were pretty disappointed, but Alaster’s position now was basically sky-high.
Since he never really had a “faction” to begin with, a lot of people actually felt proud to be working under him now.
When I brought up the women we were protecting back in Poan’s village, he said he’d look after them too. —Man, what a seriously big-hearted person.
After that I spent my days pretty busy but fulfilling: mock battles with Glen, getting dragged by Seira to join the temple knights’ training sessions, stuff like that.
I didn’t forget to keep training alone every morning either, working on picking up new magic skills.
That said, during the knight training sessions, the beautiful lady knights kept grilling me about my relationship with Seira, which was honestly kind of exhausting.
But at the same time, I really got to see just how much everyone adored her.
A month turned out to feel longer than I expected.
And because of that, the times I spent wanting each other with both Erina and Seira… well, it wasn’t just once.
The more we did it, the deeper the feelings got, and in both their hearts I really had become someone special.
Seira knows I’ve got the Dispel skill.
So she also understands that I’ve been involved with other women too.
—Even so, she kept treating me the exact same way as always.

“—See ya, Glen.”
One month later.
In front of the loaded carriage, we were exchanging final goodbyes before heading to the royal capital, Einfilia.
This was at the west gate of adventure city Hares.
They said the capital was northwest from here.
The ones who came to see me off were the members of Silver Blade.
Plus guild master Berg, receptionist Lina.
And Alaster, the blacksmiths Goddea and Karta were there too.
I didn’t see Seira or any of the other temple knights.
It felt a little lonely, but they were probably swamped with work since morning.
“It’s gonna feel kinda empty without you… but we’re adventurers, y’know? We’ll definitely meet again soon.”
“Yeah, hope so.”
Glen, Risia, Garo, Erina.
Every single one of them was reliable and just good people.
There were some rough patches when we first met, but now I genuinely felt glad I got to know them.
For someone who only had one friend in my last life, having people I could really call comrades was the greatest treasure I could’ve asked for.
“I wrote you a recommendation letter for the church school. This should let you transfer in without any trouble.”
“Ughhh…”
“Shu-sama! You’re gonna get to learn so much about the church from now on, aren’t you?!”
Alaster handed me the letter and I couldn’t help groaning.
Honestly, I was done with studying.
I was only going because of Iris’s invitation and what Goddess Artemisia said, but I already felt depressed just thinking about it.
“Bring me some good materials again sometime!”
“Got it!”
“Yeah—of course!”
After saying bye to the two blacksmiths, a voice called from behind.
“Shu-sama! We’re leaving now, okay!”
Sitting on the coachman’s seat was the merchant Mogmo.
This time we weren’t driving the carriage ourselves; we’d asked Mogmo to let us tag along since he was already planning to head toward the capital.
I climbed into the carriage with Iris and Medina and waved back at Glen and the others.
—That’s when something totally unexpected happened.
For some reason, Erina just casually climbed in like it was the most natural thing in the world.
She’d been quiet the whole time, so I’d felt something was off, but…
“Uh…?”
While I stood there confused, Risia explained from behind.
“We’ve been working nonstop lately! So we decided to take a little vacation~! Take good care of Erina for us, okay~!”
“Whaaat!?”
I couldn’t help yelling in shock.
Glen and Garo were watching me with these kinda warm looks.
Erina smiled sweetly and said,
“Please take care of me, Shu-san♡”
“Y-yeah…”
I returned it with a wry smile.
…Her love felt a little heavier than I’d thought.
And so we left Hares by carriage.
But the surprises weren’t over yet.
Another carriage—this one heavily decorated—pulled up right beside ours.
And behind it were several more carriages following.
Sitting on the coachman’s seat was—Seira.
“Fufu… You really thought you could just leave Hares without me?”
“Wha…!”
Her grinning eyes sent a chill down my spine.
“—Kidding. We’re on escort duty for Bulldog’s transfer.”
“O-oh, right…”
Still, the fact that her “joke” sounded half-serious was kinda terrifying.
Even if it was part of dispelling curses, I’d gotten involved with way too many women.
I couldn’t shake the slight fear that one day I’d get stabbed in the back…
If possible, I just wanted to live quietly.
—Thud.
“What the!?”
Suddenly something slammed onto the roof of the carriage.
“Master really is super popular, huh~”
I knew that voice instantly. Dorotheia.
Come to think of it, she did say transfer magic had a distance limit.
So she couldn’t just stay hidden forever…
We’d have to hide her real identity from the temple knights, but dark elves as a race do exist, apparently. We’d just have to bluff our way through for a while.
The trip to the capital would take several weeks.
We’d pass through a few villages and small towns along the way, camping out here and there.
When I looked back, Hares’s huge gate had already faded into the distance, and I couldn’t see Glen and the others anymore.
And so—
Our journey to the capital began.
Traveling with me were Iris, Medina, Erina, Dorotheia.
And Seira leading her group of temple knights.
If I ever come back to Hares someday, I’d like to dive into the dungeon or something.
I couldn’t help feeling my heart race, wondering what kind of things were waiting for us in the royal capital Einfilia.
