- The person who used to hate me, suddenly turned into a yandere!
- Chapter 49- What relationship do we have?
There were a total of four rooms in the beach house where Kazuya’s aunt, Yukino, generally stayed to manage her small cafe-like restaurant.
She has a family house nearby where her parents and Kazuya’s grandparents lived but since it was a 30 minutes drive from her working place, Yukino generally preferred to stay at the temporary residence.
Since the primary was Yukino’s bedroom and another was a supply room, they left only the rooms upstairs.
Ascending the wooden stairs carefully, Mika followed behind Ryuuji as the two of them went into the room just on the right after reaching the final step.
The sound of giggling and Kazuya’s shout were reverberating clearly which signified that the house was not much huge on the ground level as well. But this was the perfect size Mika would want as a family vacation place.
“Mika?.”
Upon hearing his voice Mika refocused her gaze which got directed at the scene outside of the small window in the gallery.
“Yup, coming.”
She rushed into the room and saw Ryuuji standing by the door with his hands on his waist and eyes checking the interior.
Mika pulled her gaze and began to check the room as well.
It was small and cozy with a small ventilation window inclined built on the wall and currently had curtains drawn.
A king-sized bed was enough to occupy most of the space but there was a small wardrobe adjusted between the bed and the wall opposite the entrance as well.
There was no other room signifying that there wasn’t any washroom here, which made sense.
After a brief evaluation, Mika turned toward Ryuuji and found his eyes on her as well.
“I think we can manage. Should I put your bag in the closet?”
Mika moved naturally since she liked the room and had no problem whatsoever. She was rather impressed with the location of the beach house and the scenery outside.
But Ryuuji’s hesitant voice made her realize something she never actually thought about.
“We are not sharing a room, Mika. This room is for you and Aya.”
Her feet came to an abrupt pause as Mika realized what she was thinking as something natural for herself and Ryuuji was actually inappropriate and shameless of her. The shameful fact is that she never hesitated to say those things.
Like she was looking forward to sleeping in the same bed as Ryuuji…
Slowly bringing Ryuuji’s bag which still was in her hold to her face she covered her blush even though no one was looking, as Mika uttered in an embarrassed tone.
“Tell that first…baka….”
Ryuuji was having a hard time holding his laugh as he approached Mika but didn’t say anything but just arranged her and Aya’s luggage in the cupboard before he finally stood before the girl.
“It’s okay. It’s not like I am going to tell anyone.”
As Ryuuji lowered his bag, he witnessed that not only summer heat could redden up a person to this extent. Mika was so adorable when embarrassed that Ryuuji felt his sadism tingling to do something more.
BUT…..he held back and took the backpack from her.
“….not like I care about others’ perception…”
“Did you say something?”
Ryuuji thought he heard Mika saying something but he didn’t persist when she shook her head in denial.
“Ah, Ryuu-kun! Can I also come to see your room?”
Ryuuji halted as he heard Mika’s urgency. A bit confused, he nodded nevertheless.
Mika kept her hat and shrug on the headboard of the bed before with a smile she got out of the room just behind Ryuuji.
“You guys settled down?”
Suddenly both of them heard Yukino’s voice who was approaching from downstairs.
Ryuuji walked some steps down and took the tray from Yukino’s hand which had two glasses of lemonade resting over it.
“You could have called me, Yuki.”
“Oh, it’s okay. I am used to exercising. Anyway, take a shower if you want and come to have lunch, okay?”
As Ryuuji nodded wordlessly, Yukino smiled at Mika before she walked downstairs.
“Let’s go.”
Hearing Ryuuji’s voice Mika got out of her daze in which she fell upon hearing the way Ryuuji just regarded Yukino right now. Apart from herself, he calls others by their nicknames casually as well, huh…..
“It seems you are really close to Yukino-san.”
As they entered the room Mika took one of the glasses and sat on the bed before asking the question in a certain tone.
She wasn’t suspecting anything but still it was unsettling for her.
Ryuuji was taken aback hearing such a conviction that betrayed the previously shy and tamed Mika entirely.
He took his glass as well and after putting the tray on the headboard, walked to the slightly bigger wardrobe placed vertically beside the bed and was covering some portion of the window as well. Other than the bed there were two single beds placed in the middle of the room.
The room was slightly bigger but Mika wasn’t in mind to check out the place.
After putting the glass on the headboard he started arranging something as he responded:
“Well apart from Aoki-san (Mika’s mother), Yukino is one of those who make me feel at home. Like they are my own relatives and I could behave spoiled in their presence. Aoki-san is just like a heartwarming mother and Yukino, a cool aunt who always has treated me just like Kazuya.”
Now Mika was taken aback and felt slightly guilty as well upon doubting such pure thoughts.
She was happy that Ryuuji thinks of her mother as such a close person and there was no way she wouldn’t inform Aoki about this.
But something made her bothered as she turned toward Ryuuji and after sitting criss-cross on the bed, Mika voiced her curiosity in a playful tone.
“Then do I not seem like a family member to Ryuu-kun?”
Ryuuji raised his brows and halted his hands which were arranging clothes in the wardrobe before he turned toward Mika with a questioning gaze.
“If it’s like that, can you suggest to me what kind of relationship we have?”
Mika fell into her own master trap as she straightened her back and roamed her eyes around the room to dodge the question. But seeing Ryuuji’s unmoving eyes and persistent demeanor, she had to look at him once again.
Her mind was racing and so was her heart. In normal circumstances, there were two options. First either brother-sister. But Mika by no means saw Ryuuji as her brother, nand did not want him to call her imouto as well.
Then there was only…
“Ummm….maybe….we can be…..”
*Knock*Knock*
