The Otherworld Was Way Too Brutal – After I Healed the Mutilated Girl, She Turned Into a Completely Obsessed Yandere Guard Dog - Chapter 6
Chapter 6:
A week passed after that.
Hunting with Ray turned into our everyday thing.
I got up a bit early every morning, made food for Tsugumi, asked her to stay put while I was gone, then headed over to Ray’s place.
We hunted magic beasts near the walls until past noon, and I got back home by evening.
That routine just kinda settled in.
The hands that shook so bad after killing the first one? They didn’t shake anymore.
I got used to the feeling of slicing through an Almirage’s neck, the hot splash of blood spraying out.
People say humans adapt quick, but honestly, getting this comfortable with killing so fast kinda scared me a little.
Still, no time to sit around feeling weird about it.
Everything was for Tsugumi.
“Hah!!”
I swung the knife.
Right now I was up against a magic beast called Wild Dog.
Faster than Almirage, with vicious fangs.
The Wild Dog lunged, going for my arm like it wanted to rip it clean off.
I read the path, pulled back half a step.
Its fangs just grazed the tip of my nose.
Right after, while it was wide open, I jammed the knife straight into its side.
“Gyauun!”
The Wild Dog yelped and rolled.
Fatal hit.
I didn’t let up for a second—followed up quick and finished it.
“Alright… that makes ten.”
I flicked the blood off my knife and let out a breath.
Ray walked over from a little ways away.
“Your timing’s gotten way better, Jin. That dodge just now was perfect.”
“It’s all thanks to your training… I’m just moving like crazy ’cause I don’t wanna die.”
“That’s the most important part. You’ve got real talent for staying alive.”
Ray’s praise made me kinda embarrassed, so I rubbed my nose.
Then, like always, I pulled up the status screen.
This whole week, I checked every time I killed a magic beast, but nothing ever changed.
Figured today’d be the same—until the window popped up.

・Healing Magic <Repair Evolve>
Lv1. Stops bleeding.
Lv2. Treats wounds and fractures.
Lv3. *********
――――――――
“—!?”
My eyes went wide.
The garbled text was gone.
“What’s up, Jin?”
“Ray… it happened. The level finally went up!”
Ray’s face changed too—he rushed over.
“For real!?”
“Yeah! Level 2 now. It says ‘Treats wounds and fractures’!”
I explained it all hyped up.
Level 1 was just stopping bleeding.
Now at level 2, it evolved into actual treatment.
Meaning I could close up wounds and even reconnect broken bones—not just stop the blood.
“Holy crap… it actually evolved…”
Ray muttered, totally stunned.
In this world’s rules, that kinda thing wasn’t supposed to happen.
But right in front of me, the skill really did evolve.
“Let’s test it.”
I lightly sliced my own arm with the knife.
Blood started seeping out slow.
“Hey, what the hell!”
“It’s fine. Just watch.”
I held my right hand over the cut and focused.
Healing magic, activate.
A soft light wrapped around the wound.
It felt brighter than when I used level 1.
When the light faded—smooth, perfect skin. Not a mark left.
“Wha…”
Ray was speechless.
I was shocked too.
Before, it just forced a scab-like layer to stop the bleeding.
Now it was completely back to normal.
No pain either.
“It worked… If this can handle deeper cuts, fractures too… I can heal those.”
I clenched my shaking fist.
Still couldn’t regenerate missing parts.
But this was real progress.
Keep leveling up, and someday I’d definitely reach the point where I could get her lost limbs back.
“You did it, Jin! Now you’re gonna be the best healer in town, no question.”
“Yeah… Thanks, Ray. Couldn’t have done it without you.”
We grabbed each other’s hands and grinned like idiots.
It was the moment we finally saw some real hope.
“I’m heading home! Gotta tell Tsugumi quick!”
“Go on then. We’re done for today.”
I said bye to Ray and ran full speed back to town.
“I’m home!!”
I flung the door open hard.
Tsugumi, sitting on the bed, looked up all surprised when she saw me panting like crazy.
“Jin…? What’s wrong? You’re in such a rush…”
“Tsugumi, something awesome happened.”
I kicked off my shoes and hurried over to her.
Tsugumi tilted her head, looking curious.
Her body still had tons of painful-looking old scars all over.
Leftovers from the magic beast attack.
The wounds themselves had closed, but the pulled-tight skin and keloid bumps twisted her pale skin in ugly ways.
Sometimes those scars made her wince from pain.
I wanted to get rid of them first.
“Tsugumi, just stay still for a sec, okay?”
“……?”
I put my hand on her remaining right arm.
There was this deep, gouged-out old scar from fangs.
“Here we go…”
I poured magic into it like a prayer.
Level 2 healing magic.
Would it work on old scars too?
No guarantee.
But it was worth a shot.
Gentle light filled the room.
Tsugumi squinted like it was too bright.
The warm glow wrapped her arm, then slowly faded.
“……Ahg.”
Tsugumi let out a tiny sound.
Her face scrunched up from pain.
But it worked.
The bumpy, ugly scar tissue vanished, leaving smooth porcelain-like skin behind.
“It… disappeared…?”
Tsugumi stared like she couldn’t believe it and ran her fingers over her arm.
No more rough texture.
“Amazing… Jin, that’s amazing…!”
“Phew… good. Looks like old scars are fixable too.”
I let out a relieved breath.
Now I could wipe out every last scar on her body.
Couldn’t bring back the missing limbs yet, but at least I could free her from the pain and tightness.
“I’m gonna do the rest too. Can you take your clothes off?”
“……Yeah.”
Tsugumi didn’t hesitate—she awkwardly peeled off her clothes.
Her upper body looked heartbreaking—claw marks and bite scars everywhere.
I held my hand over each one and carefully cast the magic.
It drained my stamina every time, but I didn’t care.
I was just happy watching her skin turn back to how it should be.
When I finally finished all of them.
Tsugumi’s body looked reborn—beautiful.
Except for the missing left arm and right leg, she was a stunning girl who could hold her own anywhere.
“How’s it feel? No more pain or pulling?”
When I asked, Tsugumi shook her head fast, trembling.
Then she hugged her own body tight and started crying.
“No pain… none at all, Jin…”
“Good. That’s great.”
I stroked her head.
Her silver hair slipped smooth between my fingers.
Still couldn’t get her limbs back yet.
But someday, after more levels, I’d make it happen.
I kept running my fingers through her hair, thinking about that.
