The Otherworld Was Way Too Brutal – After I Healed the Mutilated Girl, She Turned Into a Completely Obsessed Yandere Guard Dog - Chapter 12-13.1
Chapter 12
Silence fell over the inner courtyard.
My knife was pressed right up against Cattleya’s throat.
Nobody moved.
No… they couldn’t move.
The black knights were frozen in place.
Maybe shocked that their captain just lost.
Or maybe stunned by how Cattleya’s face had changed.
“…Guess I lost.”
Cattleya muttered it quietly.
She slowly lifted her hand and touched her own cheek.
It wasn’t that ugly, melted skin anymore.
Thanks to my healing, it was smooth, fresh, pure white skin again.
“It’s not hot… it doesn’t hurt…”
Cattleya kept stroking her face over and over like she was sleepwalking.
Her fingertips were trembling.
After all these years, the curse from that Fire Dragon that tortured her was finally gone.
“Cattleya-sama… your face…”
One of her subordinates let out a low, groaning voice.
Out in the sunlight, her bare face was breathtakingly beautiful.
Sharp, refined features and skin so clear it was almost see-through.
No trace left of those old burn scars.
She stared at me in a daze.
“You… healed me right in the middle of the fight?”
“I just did it to win. Pain creates openings.”
“For a reason like that…”
“Nah, it just kinda ended up that way.”
I pulled the knife back and slipped it into the sheath at my waist.
No point dragging the duel out any longer.
The fight was over.
That’s when it happened.
“――Impressive.”
A hoarse, deep voice that rumbled from the gut came down from above.
Cattleya and I both looked up at the same time.
Third floor of the mansion.
From the shadow of a terrace, an old man in a wheelchair was looking down at us.
“Bring him to me. That man passes.”
The old man said it short and sharp, then disappeared from view.
Once again, Cattleya led me back inside the mansion.
The hostile air from before had eased up a bit.
Cattleya didn’t put her helmet back on—she walked ahead of me with her real face exposed.
Top floor of the mansion.
When the heavy door opened, a sharp, nasty smell hit my nose.
Disinfectant mixed with this sickly sweet rotting-fruit stench—like death itself.
In the dim room, right in the center, sat the old man from earlier.
Genzou Sumeragi.
Head of the Sumeragi family—one of the Guardian House powers.
But his body was tiny.
Arms and legs reduced to skin and bones.
Sunken eye sockets.
Tubes ran out from all over him, hooked up to what looked like some kind of magic tool machine.
“Come closer.”
Genzou beckoned me with a shaky hand.
I walked over, staying on guard.
“I saw your power. The idea of turning healing magic into an attack weapon… the output to instantly heal Cattleya’s burns… outstanding.”
Genzou’s eyes flashed with a weird glint.
In that half-dead body, only his gaze burned with this insane obsession.
“Heal me.”
“…Heal you? Where exactly?”
“Everything. Age, sickness, pain—get rid of every single thing eating away at this body.”
That’s impossible.
Genzou probably didn’t even think it was actually doable when he said it.
But my skill is <Repair Evolve>.
Right now at level 2, I can only handle wounds and fractures.
If I keep going higher, though… maybe.
There’s definitely a chance I could eventually heal stuff like old age or disease—those conceptual kinds of things.
Still, I wasn’t sure if I should just come out and say that.
This skill is way too powerful.
I don’t even know where the limit is.
It’d stir up people’s greed real bad.
Better not spill everything so easily.
But after thinking it over, I decided I should tell him.
It’s calculated.
If I lay it out right here and now, they’ll probably help me level up.
And if they do, I might be able to heal Tsugumi way faster.
That’s the only thing I want.
So yeah, being straight with them and getting their help seemed like the smarter move.
Even if this is the same guy who hurt that mother and daughter.
I opened my mouth.
“My skill’s called <Repair Evolve>.”
“Oh?”
“My skill evolves.”
Genzou furrowed his brow.
“Evolves, you say?”
“Yeah.”
“…I see.”
His eyes got all greasy with desire.
“You’re saying you can do it?”
“…Maybe.”
“Then do it. I won’t hold back on support. Keep leveling up.”
It was an order—no room for argument.
Well, I never had any real choice anyway.
“Cattleya.”
“Yes.”
“You assist him.”
“…Me?”
“Yes. You owe him, don’t you? Perfect timing then.”
Cattleya nodded.
“Understood.”
Once Genzou saw her nod, he said,
“Then work hard.”
And just like that, my meeting with Genzou was over.
I left the room with Cattleya.
“…Starting now, I’m your bodyguard and your partner.”
“Yeah.”
“Um… do you already know how to level it up?”
“…Not really. Still kinda vague.”
“I see.”
Cattleya looked down like she was thinking, then said,
“Then first we gotta figure that out clearly.”
“Yeah.”
After I nodded, Cattleya went,
“Starting today, I’m moving in with you.”
“…You’re moving in?”
“Yeah. Come on, let’s hurry up and get back to your place.”
That’s so pushy.
I couldn’t help thinking about it.

Chapter 13.1
This is so awkward.
Like, insanely awkward.
I could feel cold sweat trickling down my back the whole way home.
Right next to me was Cattleya.
Her armor clanked and rattled with every step.
She had her helmet tucked under one arm.
She walked tall, not even trying to hide that gorgeous bare face.
People passing by kept doing double-takes, then blushing hard when they saw her.
Can’t really blame them.
With the burn scars gone, Cattleya was easily the most beautiful woman in the whole city—no exaggeration.
Sharp, refined features.
Eyes that screamed strong will.
Skin like white porcelain, glowing all soft and shiny in the sunset.
But that wasn’t the problem.
“…Hey, Cattleya.”
“What.”
“You’re really moving in with me?”
“It’s my lord’s order. Plus, I’ve got a duty as your bodyguard to carry out.”
Cattleya answered like it was no big deal, totally calm.
To her, this was just a mission—already decided.
But I had someone waiting at home.
Tsugumi.
She was already super unstable mentally.
She depended on me completely—lived relying only on me.
Her world was tiny.
If a stunning beauty like this suddenly showed up and moved in… what would happen?
Just thinking about it made my stomach hurt.
“Am I bothering you by being here?”
Cattleya asked out of nowhere.
I shook my head fast.
“No, it’s not like that… it’s just, I’ve got someone I live with.”
“Ah, that girl.”
“You know about her?”
“We’ve already looked into it. Heard you picked up a mutilated girl and raised her.”
Figures—she was the captain of Guardian House’s knights.
They didn’t miss a thing when it came to intel.
“She’s… kinda fragile. So please, try not to set her off too much.”
“Got it. I’ll be careful.”
Cattleya gave a short nod.
Guess I had to trust her word on that.
We made it to my rundown shack.
Compared to the Sumeragi family mansion, this place was trash.
Cattleya didn’t even twitch an eyebrow as she looked up at it.
“Is this it?”
“Yeah. It’s cramped and dirty, though.”
“Doesn’t matter. Compared to camping outdoors, having a roof is already heaven.”
Damn, she was tough.
I steeled myself and grabbed the doorknob.
“I’m home.”
I opened the door.
Like always, there was movement from the bed in the back of the room.
“Jin…! Welcome back!”
It was Tsugumi.
She leaned forward on the bed, flashing this huge, blooming smile.
But that smile froze solid in an instant.
