*SPOILER TITLE* The Disengage Skill "Evade" Turns Into a "Wall Clip Bug" Under Specific Conditions! When I Clipped Through the Dungeon Wall, I Was Able To Collect An Infinite Amount of First-Time Clear Rewards and So My Stats Skyrocketed! - Chapter 11
Chapter 11: Exploring New Dungeons
The next day, I had decided not to go for another <Commencement Sword> in the Fassil Dungeon. I had resolved myself.
No matter how many times I switched exchanges, it would garner attention since I was only exchanging the <Commencement Sword>. It would be disastrous if it ever got out that I was using <Evade> to slip through walls, and it would be more than likely that Guillermo would start to exploit me.
Based on what he said to me, he knew that I was frequenting the exchanges, but he didn’t know that I was exchanging a <Commencement Sword> every time. It was a blessing in disguise that he ended up only stealing just the sword.
“But there aren’t any safe dungeons in the area that I can clear other than the Fassil Dungeon…”
The Fassil Dungeon was a beginner’s dungeon, and it was thanks to its low difficulty that I could even make it to the boss chamber.
“I have to become strong enough to defeat monsters.”
If I don’t, I would be at Guillermo’s mercy for the rest of my life, but I couldn’t think of a method to get stronger.
“There’s no point mulling it over at home, might as well head to the guild and give it a try there.”
The Adventurer’s Guild offered useful information to adventurers, and if there was a place where I could get my hands on some method to strengthen myself, it was the guild.
◆
The Adventurer’s Guild houses a great volume of information essential for adventurers, such as data on dungeons and monster habitats.
However, I didn’t go to the guild too often.
I was a celebrity in a strange way.
I have garbage stats, a garbage skill, and was nicknamed “The Eternal Level 1”.
So whenever I go to places with a lot of adventurers, I get anxious about the amount of people that will look at me like some zoo animal. So even though the guild offers exchange services, I don’t use it for the reasons I just stated.
But there was no use worrying about it, so with a strong resolve, I took a look around at the information posted in the guild.
“Even though I can’t kill any monsters, I could still do things like gathering herbs and ores.”
In order to do so, I would need to take a wagon to the place where I could collect them. A while ago, I wouldn’t have had the money to even ride in a carriage, but now I can somehow come up with the money.
However, your level wouldn’t go up from collecting these sorts of things. It could be decent for making some money, but I didn’t need money right now, only levels.
“Let’s do this.”
I muttered to myself as I looked at a piece of paper with dungeon information on it. Maybe this dungeon will make me stronger. Afterwards, I went around and collected everything I might need for the dungeon.
The first thing I needed was a map. It was one of the most basic steps you had to take before conquering a dungeon. The next thing was to go to a weapons shop to buy some knives, but I also wanted to take something else as well.
“How much is this?”
“80,000 yel, kid.”
The old shopkeep replied with a monotone voice. He must have seen that I looked like a beginner and thought I was here just to chill. However, I had some money saved up from selling the <Commencement Swords>.
It pained me to part ways with 80,000 yel, but it was something I needed. I couldn’t afford to not get it.
“If you don’t have any money, leave.”
“Uncle, can I get this?”
“Huh?”
“If it’s just money, then this should be enough…”
I handed him a small bag of coins worth around 80,000 yel.
“My apologies!”
He hadn’t expected me to have the money, so he bowed his head toward me.
“Here’s your <Giant Rock Golem’s Buckler>.”
As implied by its name, the <Giant Rock Golem’s Buckler> is a shield made from the tough skin for a giant rock golem.
Anyone who wanted to use a sword effectively needed <Sword Mastery>, but shields could be effectively wielded without any special skills as long you made sure to block properly.
The <Giant Rock Golem’s Buckler> had a nice added bonus of plus 170 to defense.
“Nice, it’s light and won’t hinder my movements.”
I said as I strapped it to my arm. This relatively small shield was originally intended to be worn by adventurers who favored one-handed swords in their other hand. The shield itself is small such that it wouldn’t get in the way of someone swinging their sword around.
I had no intention of wearing anything other than this small shield. With my low attack power, I won’t be able to damage the monsters even if I were to attack. Instead, I would use the shield to make sure that I can block that one powerful attack that’ll send me flying through the wall.
The reason why I chose a small shield was to avoid lowering my agility, which was my only strength. If I carried a large shield, my running speed would inevitably become slower. I thought that it would be difficult to go through the dungeon without encountering any monsters.
Next, I went to the apothecary to purchase as many MP potions as I could. Unlike the Fassil Dungeon, there would be many times where I would have to use <Evade> and I was sure to quickly run out of mana, so there was no harm in stocking up.
“Alright, now I’m ready.”
I headed toward the dungeon, feeling the weight of the <Giant Rock Golem’s Buckler> in my hand.
