The day I moved on from my crush — who worked as a rental girlfriend — I ended up with a yandere - Chapter 7- Be mine
After a whole month, I was standing before the familiar house once again.
A two-storey house situated on the outskirts of Tokyo and surrounded by similar-looking houses was where I used to work as a caregiver.
Tomoya-san patted my back and urged me, “Come on, let’s go.”
I gave him a brief nod before we entered the house.
The interior was the same as I remembered. Though now there were a few maids working around the place, cleaning the reception hall.
They paused to greet the man beside me.
We moved through the reception hall and climbed the stairs.
Tsumiki-san’s room was on the first floor.
I had naturally visited her room a few times in the past, so I knew I had to take a left after climbing the stairs.
And just as we turned, a familiar woman came before us.
Her eyes were red; clearly, she had cried.
Her long black hair cascaded down her shoulder, and a pair of blue eyes looked at me and then her husband before finally settling on me as she said, “Oh, Kazuki-kun. I am glad you came.” Her voice was shaky.
I gave a brief bow and said, “Good afternoon, Sumire-san.” She was Tsumiki-san’s mother and also the woman who had booked my services for the first seven days—after that, it was Tsumiki-san who reserved my services.
I felt Tomoya-san’s hand on my shoulder as he said, “Go on, she is in her room.”
I took a deep breath and looked at the closed door on the left.
Nodding, I took a step forward.
The other two didn’t follow me and just stood there, watching me.
I took another deep breath and raised my hand to knock.
Tsumiki-san and I were close indeed, but I don’t know whether my presence would make any difference, given she wasn’t responding to even her parents.
Taking a pause, I finally knocked.
*KNOCK*
I waited for a few seconds. No response.
Leaning closer, I called out, “Tsumiki-san? It’s me, Kazuki. Do you remember-“
*CLICK*
I was shocked as suddenly the doors parted and a hand pulled me inside before,
*DHAK*
I heard the door being closed behind me.
Wh-What just happened?
I was definitely inside Tsumiki-san’s room.
I could tell by those dark curtains and that wall painting across from the entrance.
I was too stunned to move for a few seconds, but just as I was about to turn to see who had pulled me inside, I felt a pair of arms wrapping around my chest and a warm body pressing against me from behind.
“T-Tsumiki-san?” I asked, startled by the sudden hug.
“Just…let me stay like this for a few seconds.” She requested, pressing even closer to me.
I parted my lips, but no words came out. In the end, I just let her hug me all she wanted.
I could feel how restlessly her heart was beating against me.
Her fingers trembled as she held me as if I were the only support that kept her from falling.
I hesitantly held her hands, which were on my chest, and told her, “It’s okay, Tsumiki-san. Tell me what happened and I will somehow find a solution to your problems.”
I felt her flinching for a moment before she suddenly released me and stepped away.
Before I turned, she walked past me and advanced toward her bed.
Finally, she turned to look at me as she sat down.
Her brown hazelnut eyes didn’t fail to put me in a trance as always. She was wearing a loose shirt and a denim shorts that hid nothing of her smooth, long legs. Her brown hair, despite being disheveled, enhanced her beauty as she looked at me with a blank look.
I took a few seconds to compose myself before I approached her, and after sitting beside her, I said, “Why can’t I help you? Do you not trust me?”
I know I wasn’t the best person to count on, but I give good advice, Izumi told me. And since she has chosen to open the door for me and not for anyone else, I could at least try to convince her to get out of her confines.
Tsumiki-san kept looking at me for a few seconds before she shook her head and said, “No, you won’t be able to find a solution to my problem this time.”
I sighed, “At least try me once. I mean-“
“I want you, Kazu-kun. And not as a caregiver or a friend, but my life partner. Tell me, can you grant me that?”
“…”
