Chapter 1

In front of me were monsters, crawling out of the dungeon and attacking the village. Without any hesitation, they went on ruthless slaughter. One villager after another.

“Please, someone! Hel–! Us!”

“Pleas–!, just our children…”

Around me, storm of desperate cries erupted one after another. People were weeping for help, begging for help, and amidst them, some went about even laughing in a twisted manner. But there’s no way those monsters could even understand our words.

As for me, I was just standing here, alone.

Normally, adventurers are supposed to eliminate monsters in the dungeon, so as to prevent them from coming out from it. But it seems that monsters appearing out from the dungeon was just a recent phenomenon.

The people who had been kind to me were being killed in front of me. I wandered alone through the scene, looking at the blood flowing on the ground from someone I might know.

Fortunately, I hadn’t been attacked by those monsters, but even I witnessed the worst moments later.

“H… Help… Ariann—!”

My childhood friend and a person I had a crush on, Kayla-chan, was being attacked. Tears filled her eyes as she was getting dragged one step after another by a monster. On meeting my gaze she whispered my name softly.

At this rate, Kayla-chan would be… But even if I went… I would just end of getting killed.

That fear rooted me to the spot.

…But I have to go. Move me!

I kicked the ground forcefully and rushed to help, but I was too late. Just at the same time, the monster swung its club dangerously close to Kayla-chan.

I reached out of desperation.

“Hit Me Instead!”

In the next moment, a massive flame spread throughout the village. Someone had cast that flame. The monster that was about to attack her was blinded by its dazzling light. I didn’t let that moment of distraction go, I immediately grabbed her and fled.

Thanks to that flame, we were saved, but as it looked, the flame spread throughout the village and burned everything to the ground. Everything was incinerated. Houses, livestock, and even the villagers. All, equally.

I glanced back at the group of monsters. There, I witnessed a sight which made me doubt my own sight.

“Those are humans.”

As our eyes met, those people turned on their heel and retreated deeper. It must have been them who cast the flame. They must be the ones —who must have released the monsters from the dungeon. Burning the village, and then massacring the whole village, and all it’s villagers.

“Kayla, I will become an adventurer. I absolutely won’t forgive those monsters.”

This is the story of a male adventurer who wanted to exterminate those human-monsters who destroyed his home; but is caught up in various troubles instead.

My name is Franklin Ariann. I belong to one of the top parties in this country, with a job of a holy knight. I have got a painful past, but I’ll leave reminiscing about that to those flashback scenes. Right now, I was trying to live a decent life as an adventurer, but I had already been mixed up in a lot already…

However, more than anything, there’s something I have to hide about myself.

No matter what, at any cost.

“The fact that I’m a man.”

I don’t think I even have the time to talk about this, as my companions are already calling for me.

And so, I leave this room again today, as the girl “Ariann-chan♡”…

The adventurers’ guild was bustling with excitement, and among them, we were celebrating our achievement. I could hear the voices of drunken male adventurers raising their glasses from sides.

“Damn Wow! Looks like the Pure White Pigeon are at it again! They’ve conquered yet another dungeon apparently.”

“Seriously amazing, right? Strong, but more than that… gorgeous.”

“If possible, I’d want to get close to any one of those four girls.”

“I want to be sandwiched between Elise’s breasts!”

…Listening to these, I seriously thought men are real idiots. When will you all realize that girls are really sensitive to such comments. That’s a sincere advice from me, —as someone dressed as a girl.

As expected, Elise, who was beside me, was hiding her face behind me, making a face that she shouldn’t be making as a girl.

Elise and I are tasked to take care of the vanguard as dual front attacker, being fellow knights. She had this waist-length golden hair which came down like threads resembling the moon light, and accompanying them are her emerald-like eyes. Her chest, which the adventurers were talking about earlier…—well in a few word, is dangerously plump.

This is bad, really bad, I might die too alongside them.

“There’s no decent guy among men…looking at me with those lecherous eyes…! Right?”

Saying so, she turned to the short-heighted girl with a hat on her head sitting next to her. She had white hair and was considered loli-like. Her name is Mea.

“But I’ve never been looked at with such lecherous eyes…? Right, Ariann?”

She gently touched her chest and looked at me with slightly sad eyes. Does that mean she’s putting me with her in the flat-chested group?

By the way, I adore the flat chests too, and like them equally.

“Will you please not put me in that group of yours? Even I’ve been looked at with such lecherous eyes before.”

I’ll just give a casual response to avoid suspicion. If I use a first-person pronoun like “Ore,” they’ll immediately realize I’m a man, so I’ve changed it to “Boku.”

““”Eh?!”””

For some reason, the whole party was surprised by my response. They exchanged glances and started talking back and forth. Did I say something weird?

The healer of the party, a brown-haired girl, spoke after me.

“I-maybe I don’t think I have been seen that way. No, maybe even I have been, but I try not to listen.”

“No-no… Mirai, unlike me, you have something to show to others too. Being looked at … I mean, after all, you’re the one in charge of the ‘lady-like’ role in this party, right?”

“What do you mean by role!”

Pouting with her cheeks filled with anger, this is the healer of our party, Miraicosta. She’s a noble with a polite tone — the charactElisetic feature of her noble upbringing, adding to it is her big brown beautiful eyes. Also, those are huge.

After our usual banter was over, everyone started getting even more excited.

“Let’s celebrate our win with a Bang!”

““”Yeah!”””

Saying so, Mea and Elise cheerfully walked ahead. Since I’ve worked too hard today, my legs aren’t moving properly, so I head over slowly. Mea, who was walking beside me, murmured to me.

“Guess Ariann prefers girls with bigger breasts after all?”

“I-I don’t really mind those stuff, I think.”

“…Come on now, let’s go already or we’ll be left behind.”

Saying so, Mea took hold of my hand and smiled mischievously. She looked so cute that it almost made me fall for her.

But I mustn’t do anything suspicious.

Because, once I’m found out, I won’t be allowed be in here anymore.
