The Carnivorous Maidens Living with Me - Chapter 30 & 31
Chapter 30: There’s Nothing Scarier Than Things Decided Without You
I’ve gotten pretty used to hospital life.
The president came by, Haruki and Ai dropped in, and even the broadcasting club crew showed up, so it’s been lively.
But now, the last person I wanted to see is here.
“I missed you so much, Shoma-kun~!”
Rubbing her cheek against mine is my part-time job senior, Yayoi Kujo.
Her long, wavy brown hair flows loosely, and she’s rocking a long skirt and a tight sweater.
With slightly droopy eyes and a soft, fluffy vibe, you’d think she’s the gentle type… but nope, total opposite.
She’s super touchy-feely.
“Yayoi-san, stop it, I’m injured!”
I tried to shake her off in a panic, but I was up against the wrong person.
And the location was a bad choice too.
Poyonn
A sensation like being wrapped in softness hit my palm!
“Ahn! Shoma-kun, you perv! Wanna do it right here?”
“No way! What’s with you?! I’ve got a girlfriend!”
“Huh? Girlfriend?”
Her face went blank for a second.
“Yeah! Girlfriends, actually! Two of them! And it’s all about physical stuff!”
I figured saying that would make her think I’m a sleaze and back off… but it backfired.
“Then it’s fine if I join in! I totally had my eye on you first, Shoma-kun!”
“That’s not fine at all!”
After that, she grilled me about how far I’d gone with my girlfriends, digging for every detail.
“So, you haven’t yet, huh. Fufufu.”
I heard her say that but decided to ignore it.
The days passed, and discharge day came faster than expected.
Thankfully, it was a Saturday, so my parents and the Kisaragi family threw me a discharge party.
They treated us to delicious yakiniku.
We had a blast, making a ton of noise together.
Surprisingly, Soichi-san can’t handle alcohol, but Alicia-san’s a total heavyweight—she was downing sake like water.
After a while, Soichi-san drove us back to my place.
Wait, did I have this much luggage?
There’s a suitcase I’ve never seen before.
“Thanks, Soichi-san, Alicia-san! For the food and the ride home!”
I bowed deeply.
“Don’t mention it! Take good care of our daughter from now on!”
Hm? From now on?
“Get it done, Sofia! If pushing doesn’t work, pin him down!”
“Yup! Thanks, Papa, Mama!”
“Sofia-chan, take care of our boy!”
“Call us if anything comes up!”
“Thank you, Dad, Mom!”
I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
“Uh… sorry to interrupt the excitement, but what’s this about?”
I asked nervously, my instincts screaming I didn’t want to hear the answer.
“What? You’re living with Sofia-chan starting today, right?”
My dad said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world!
“Huh? What’re you talking about? Living together? Who with who?”
While I was freaking out, they all said in perfect sync:
““““Shoma and Sofia!””””
The adults were scarily in tune.
“I asked to live with you, Shoma! Since you’re injured and might struggle with daily stuff!”
“So it was your doing!”
That’s what they were scheming about on the first day!
Sofia whispered in my ear with a sultry voice:
“Surpri~se♡”
Looks like I left my peace and quiet somewhere far behind.
Chapter 31: Conditions and Collapse ~ A Man’s Word Is His Bond
Is a promise made to be kept or to be broken?
In this world, people make reservations and then cancel without notice, refusing to pay.
That makes them untrustworthy.
“No take-backs for a real man!”
I’ve always admired that way of life.
I’m the type to keep my promises.
This is just a story about how that backfired on me.
※
Right now, my house is filled with the Kamizuki and Kisaragi families, all facing each other.
How’d it come to this?
It’s because of the whole “living with Sofia” thing.
I asked to talk it out, and that’s how we got here.
“Let me be straight: I don’t think it’s right for a teenage guy and girl to live under the same roof!”
I was seriously trying to convince the adults.
But their reactions?
“No problem.”
“Shoma-kun’s fine! He’ll give us a healthy grandkid!”
“Sofia-chan, make sure you do it right.”
“I wanna see my grandkid soon.”
The last two are idiots.
And Alicia-san’s way too into this.
“No, that’s weird, right? Shouldn’t you be the ones stopping this?”
I’m starting to think I’m the crazy one.
“If you get a kid while you’re still students, it’ll be tough. I can help financially, but raising a kid while going to school… a bit later’s fine by me.”
Now even Soichi-san’s getting on board.
This is hopeless… fine, time to pull out that condition.
With that resolve, I started talking even more seriously.
“Listen up, everyone! When I started dating Sofia, I set a condition!”
“““…”””
The adults listened quietly.
“The condition is: I won’t make a move unless we’re mutually in love!”
“So, making a kid depends on my feelings!”
Heh, I win!
They can’t argue with that!
“Got it…”
“I see…”
“…No choice, then.”
Oh? It’s working like a charm!
Might as well throw in some proof!
“Here’s the evidence from back then!”
“Sofia, I won’t make a move until we’re mutually in love.”
“Got it. So you won’t make a move, Shoma. That’s fine.”
The audio played from my phone.
By the way, I’ve got backups on my PC and Sofia’s phone too!
No loopholes!
Fuhahahaha!
“Then there’s no issue at all!”
“I’m relieved! You’ve got proof and everything.”
“Now we can celebrate your new chapter without worry!”
“That’s my boy!”
That’s what the adults were saying.
“W-W-Wait! That’s not right! Why’s everyone in celebration mode?”
I thought I landed a critical hit, but it missed, and now I’m freaking out.
“Well, you see…”
“Yeah…”
“That condition only means you won’t make a move, right?”
Taraa, cold sweat ran down my neck.
“So there’s no problem if Sofia makes the move!”
Alicia-san flashed the biggest smile of the day.
“Ah…”
Mayday, mayday!
Emergency! I need a time machine!
“And we’ve got your word on record, too!”
My plan collapsed before it even got off the ground.
“Besides, if your bodies are compatible, your hearts will follow naturally! Right, honey?♡”
Saying that, Alicia-san snuggled up to Soichi-san.
Soichi-san’s face was bright red.
“Kazuma-san! I’m not feeling sleepy tonight!”
“Hell yeah! Let’s do this!”
Don’t get all fired up, you two!
Giving up, I reluctantly agreed to live with Sofia.
“Here’s to us, Shoma!♡”
“Yeah, yeah… a man’s word is his bond.”
Well… seeing that smile makes it kinda worth it.
I mumbled that to myself.
