Chapter 34: The Abandoned Prince Meets the Chairwoman
“O-Oh… huh. This actually looks better on me than I expected.”
I stood in front of the mirror, checking out my outfit.
Before heading off to the imperial capital’s academy, I wanted to get a feel for how the uniform fit.
By the way, it wasn’t a blazer.
Back in my previous life, I wore the standard black gakuran in middle and high school, so I’d always kind of admired blazer uniforms.
But this one was different—it had its own unique design.
It looked more like a black military-style uniform, which probably describes it best.
“Alright, now just throw on the fake glasses and—disguise complete!”
Starting today, I’d be attending the academy while hiding my true identity.
Since my face had already been seen nationwide—thanks to the duel between Eliza and Rosemary, and especially after the wedding—
I couldn’t exactly show up looking like myself.
You might think, “Wouldn’t fake glasses be too obvious?”
But that’s where you’d be wrong.
These glasses were custom-made by Yelona and came equipped with a special recognition-inhibition feature.
Basically, they make it so people can’t recognize my face properly.
Close friends like Rosemary and Alcarion would still figure it out, but for anyone else, it’d be like I was a complete stranger.
Seriously, Yelona’s a genius.
“Alright! Time to head out!”
I left my room to go pick up Nayuta.
She had been a real middle school girl in Japan, so the school uniform would probably look perfect on her.
With that thought in mind, I made my way to her room—
“Hey, Nayuta? …Are you still asleep?”
No matter how much I knocked, there was no response.
Don’t tell me… she overslept on her very first day?
No way… right?
…Right?
Now that I thought about it, Nayuta did always seem kind of sleepy in the mornings.
“I-I’m coming in!”
I opened the door—
But she wasn’t in sight.
Well… technically, she was.
She was still wrapped up in her blanket, fast asleep in bed.
“She’s… asleep? Seriously!?”
This was bad.
Being late on your first day was a surefire way to get noticed by the teachers.
I knew she didn’t like having maids fuss over her, so I let her be—but now it was backfiring.
Panicking, I rushed over and yanked the blanket off of her.
“Nayuta!! Get up right no—”
“Nnu… munya-munya…”
My voice caught in my throat.
Because under that blanket, Nayuta… wasn’t wearing a single piece of clothing.
Not even underwear.
Looking at her like this, I realized—
Nayuta actually had a really nice figure.
Her chest wasn’t huge, but it had a gentle curve, and her waist was slim and well-defined.
…Gulp.
“No! Bad! This is not the time!! Nayuta, come on, wake up!!”
“Mmm… Mom… just five more minutes…”
“I’m not your mom!!”
“You’re the mom who got heartbroken when Dad cheated and ran off with another guy when I was ten…”
S-So Nayuta came from a complicated family, huh…
No, wait—this isn’t the time to think about that! I needed to get her up!
“Mmm… Lord Reyshel, just let me sleep a little longer…”
“You’re gonna be late!! Come on, get your uniform on! And fix your hair too!”
“Mmkay…”
Seeing sleepy, sluggish Nayuta was such a huge contrast from her usual cheerful self, it made me want to take care of her even more.
“Wahh! We’re gonna be lateee!! You should’ve woken me up earlier!!”
“I did wake you up. You just wouldn’t get out of bed.”
The two of us ended up sprinting full speed to the academy.
Thankfully, the imperial capital’s academy—Violetta Academy—wasn’t that far from the imperial castle.
Aside from Nayuta’s oversleeping, there weren’t any major problems.
And we made it there safely without issue.
Violetta Academy was a place open to everyone, regardless of social status.
As we stepped onto the school grounds, we could see noble-looking students arriving in fancy carriages, while others—likely commoners—were chatting casually in groups.
Of course, nobles and commoners had clearly formed their own circles, so it wasn’t like everyone was completely equal or mingling freely…
But still—
“This place… it’s got a nice vibe to it.”
“Yeah, it really does! Um, by the way—where are we supposed to go? Which classroom?”
“Nayuta… you seriously didn’t listen when Alcarion explained everything?”
“Huh?”
Yeah, looks like she totally missed it.
“We’re being treated as transfer students, so first we need to head to the chairwoman’s office and take care of the paperwork.”
“Oooh, I see! But… where is the chairwoman’s office?”
“…Good question.”
Now that I thought about it—Alcarion never actually told us where it was.
That kind of forgetfulness is part of what makes her adorable, but right now, it was a real problem.
“Oh, I see someone who looks like a teacher. Let’s ask. Excuse me!”
I called out to a woman who was clearly dressed differently from the students—more like a suit or staff uniform.
She turned to us and smiled warmly.
“Yes? Can I help you with something?”
“Sorry to bother you. We’re transfer students starting today, and we were told to go to the chairwoman’s office… but we don’t know where it is.”
“Y-You’re transfer students… and you were told to go to the… chairwoman’s office?”
The teacher’s friendly smile froze in place.
Then, in a much quieter voice—making sure none of the nearby students could hear—she whispered,
“Um… Are you perhaps Lord Reyshel and Lady Nayuta?”
“Ah, yeah. That’s us.”
“I-I apologize for the delay!! Please, right this way!!”
Looks like Alcarion might’ve given the academy staff a heads-up about us after all.
The woman, now looking a bit nervous, led us through the halls at a brisk pace.
“H-Here we are! This is the chairwoman’s office! I’ll take my leave now!”
Before we could even thank her, the female teacher hurried away down the hall.
Well… I am the imperial consort, after all.
She probably didn’t want to risk saying or doing anything that could be seen as disrespectful.
Honestly, if I were in her shoes, I’d probably try to avoid someone like me too.
Feeling a little bad about the whole thing, I turned to the door of the chairwoman’s office and gave it a knock.
“Come in.”
A voice called out from the other side, so Nayuta and I stepped inside.
And standing there… was an absolutely stunning woman.
“Welcome. My name is Violetta.”
She gave a graceful bow as she introduced herself.
Her long purple hair and matching eyes gave her a unique and elegant look.
She wasn’t quite as tall as Alcarion or Rosemary, but she had the slim, graceful figure of a model.
And her body—was incredible.
Big breasts, a slim waist, and legs that went on forever.
Looking closer, I noticed her ears were pointed.
Was she an elf?
No… they were a bit shorter than a typical elf’s ears. Maybe she was a half-elf or something similar.
But the thing that really grabbed our attention was—
““Why is she dressed so insanely sexy!?””
She was wearing something that looked a lot like a nun’s outfit… but definitely not the kind you’d see in a real church.
There was a deep slit in the skirt, showing off her thighs wrapped in thigh-high stockings with garter belts.
And the chest area was cut way too low—it honestly looked like one of those adult cosplay costumes you’d find in the back corner of a sketchy store.
“Ufufu, how honest you two are. So, you must be Nayuta, and this young man is…?”
“Reyshel.”
“…I see. So you’re the one Mother and Rosemary are always talking about…”
“Huh?”
I tilted my head at the way Violetta phrased that, though…
Now that I thought about it, this kind of misunderstanding felt familiar. I’d been through something like this before.
“Once again, I’m Violetta. I’m Alcarion’s first daughter.”
““!?””
So Violetta was Alcarion’s eldest child—
And apparently the chairwoman of this academy.
In fact, the academy itself had been created just to fulfill her wish of becoming a teacher.
Now that she mentioned it, the academy was even named after her.
Alcarion’s obsession with her daughters really was on another level.
If she ever had a child with me… she’d probably spoil them even more than she spoils me.
With that thought in the back of my mind, we finished all the necessary paperwork and were finally about to head to class when—
Violetta suddenly stopped me.
“I’ll have someone guide you, so Nayuta, would you mind heading to the classroom first?”
“Okay!!”
Nayuta responded cheerfully and stepped out of the chairwoman’s office, following the teacher assigned to guide her.
And just like that, I was alone with Violetta.
If she stopped me just to talk one-on-one, she must’ve had something important to say.
Now that I thought about it, she hadn’t shown up to the wedding with Rosemary and Alcarion either…
Was she actually against our relationship? Was she about to demand we break up or something…?
That’s what I was starting to worry about, but—
“Ufufu… Ahh, how adorable… You’re just too cute!! This isn’t fair!! How could everyone keep a boy this precious away from me?! And at the perfect legal age, no less!! Now that I’ve seen you with my own eyes, I’m completely convinced!”
“…Huh?”
Before I could process it, Violetta stepped right up to me, her eyes sparkling.
“Hey, Reyshel ♡ I really want you to call me Big Sis, okay? ♡”
“…What?”
“Kyaa! I actually said it out loud!!”
And there I was—completely overwhelmed and genuinely confused.
