Chapter 33: The Abandoned Prince Has a Chat
“Auu… I can’t take it anymore…”
“Y-You look really tired, Nayuta.”
It was the day after I had that triple-mommy harem play with Alcarion, Olivia, and Rosemary.
Right now, I was chatting with Nayuta in my room.
I’d already told her that I was a reincarnated person.
It wasn’t something I needed to hide, and since we came from the same world, it actually helped us grow closer.
As my personal attendant, Nayuta had been pretty busy—sometimes helping with certain physical needs, other times studying up on how this world works.
But today, she looked more exhausted than usual.
“Something happen?”
“Please listen to this, Lord Reyshel!! That Prime Minister Olga is just awful!! She suddenly told me she wants me to be the next Prime Minister, and now she’s trying to make me read like two hundred books a day!?”
Ah, right.
There was something kind of interesting—no, actually, very interesting—I found out about Nayuta recently.
Apparently, people summoned from another world just… stop aging altogether.
It’s not like elves with long lifespans.
Their bodies literally stop aging. Like hitting the pause button.
When Alcarion told me about it, someone else’s eyes lit up instantly—
The Prime Minister of the Agardramoon Imperial Federation, a certain high elf named Olga.
“Finally! The perfect candidate has appeared!!“
Apparently, Olga had been searching for a successor for a long time.
She had known Alcarion the longest, which meant she’d also spent the most time dealing with all the chaos Alcarion caused.
And after getting dragged into all that for years, Olga decided she wanted someone to take over her job.
But there was a problem.
If she handed the role of Prime Minister to someone from a short-lived race, it’d lead to rapid turnover.
And even if she chose a capable person who actually took the job seriously, there was no guarantee their replacement wouldn’t just be some smooth-talking idiot who only knew how to suck up to others.
That wouldn’t be ideal…
But if that idiot turned out to be ambitious?
Then instead of supporting Alcarion like a Prime Minister should, they might end up becoming a burden to her.
So, Olga thought—
If she could find someone with a long lifespan and actual talent, she could finally retire in peace.
That seemed to be her plan.
“I told her there’s no way I could do it, but then she said it’d be fine since I’ve got cheat powers from being summoned!”
“Oh yeah… was it ‘Great Sage’ or something like that?”
“Exactly!! I got it from the goddess in some weird space before I got summoned here, and it’s super useful!!”
Before she was brought into this world, Nayuta met a goddess in some mysterious space and got blessed with a cheat ability.
And the one she received—‘Great Sage’—was definitely a cheat through and through.
“That was the ability where you could even learn stuff you shouldn’t know, right? Why’d you ask for something like that?”
“Well, back in school, I was always near the bottom of the class… so I figured, if I’m getting a cheat ability anyway, I might as well ask for something that makes me smarter! And that’s when the goddess gave me this power that tells me the answer to anything I ask!”
“…I see.”
So that’s how she ended up with a seriously overpowered ability from the goddess.
According to what Alcarion told me, Nayuta’s ‘Great Sage’ was kind of similar to the dragon eye ability.
But unlike the dragon eye—which dumps so much information into your brain that it can break your mind if you’re not used to it—
‘Great Sage’ works more like an AI assistant, so it’s easier to handle.
The real problem with this ability… is that it can literally tell you anything.
“Yeah, I once got curious and asked about the origin of the universe… ended up losing my mind. That was rough.”
“That’s not something you should laugh about.”
Nayuta’s ability lets her know everything.
Even terrifying stuff—like cosmic horror type truths that trigger some primal fear deep in your soul.
If I hadn’t used my Perfect Regeneration right away, it could’ve gone really bad.
Still…
Thanks to that incident, I learned that my Perfect Regeneration works on the mind too, so I guess it wasn’t all bad.
“Prime Minister Olga said, ‘With that power, you might be even better than me at handling Her Majesty Alcarion’s outrageous behavior.’“
“‘Great Sage’ tells you the best course of action in any situation too, right?”
“That’s not the problem! She says I still need to build up proper knowledge and education without relying on the ability… so now I’m stuck in an endless reading marathon! Ugh, it’s way too much responsibility!! Being told I’m the next Prime Minister out of nowhere—there’s just no way!!”
“In that case, would you like to attend the imperial academy?”
As Nayuta and I were chatting, Alcarion suddenly stepped out of the closet.
…Wait, what?
We had definitely locked that thing after the last time she showed up in there.
“Alcarion! Why do you always come out of my closet!?”
“I can’t hide under the desk, the bed, or behind the curtains with my body size.”
“That’s not the point!!”
Seriously, she always gives me a heart attack.
“Wait—did you say academy?”
“Yes. It’s a school mainly for training dragon knights and bureaucrats, but anyone can enroll, regardless of status. Even Rosemary honed her skills as a dragon knight there.”
“Ugh, I mean… I appreciate the offer, really. But I come all the way to another world, and now I have to go study? I guess it’s necessary to survive here, but still…”
“Is something bothering you?”
“N-No, it’s just… you know… being thrown into a place full of strangers all of a sudden is kinda scary…”
Apparently, Nayuta turned out to be more shy around strangers than she looked.
And that’s when Alcarion suddenly dropped a wild suggestion that made me wonder if I heard her right.
“Then why not attend the academy with him?”
“Huh?”
“Eh?”
Nayuta and I both let out equally dumbfounded noises.
“Wait, hold on, Alcarion. What do you mean by that?”
“In this world, the person Nayuta has opened her heart—and legs—to the most is you.”
“Did you seriously just drop that kind of line like it’s nothing!?”
“You’re small and baby-faced. You could easily pass as someone in their early teens. Of course, you’d have to hide your status, but still.”
…I tried imagining it for a second.
Me, wearing a school uniform, walking to class with Nayuta and living the whole academy life together.
“Yeah, no thanks. That’s way too much.”
I mean, if you include my age from my past life, I’m way older than I look.
Wearing a school uniform at this age? That’s just painful.
Sure, reliving those youth-filled school days might sound nice, but still…
“Oh dear, that’s a shame. I was hoping to sneak in as a teacher and enjoy a forbidden romance with you in uniform.”
“That was definitely your real motive, wasn’t it?”
“Of course it was.”
“You just flat-out admitted it!?”
“In fact, I already asked Yelona to make the outfits. Something short, with a skirt that really emphasizes the thighs—just how you like it.”
“I do like that, but still!!”
As expected of Alcarion—she really knew exactly what pushed my buttons.
Then, without changing her expression in the slightest, Alcarion calmly added:
“Well, jokes aside… I actually have a favor to ask of you.”
“Huh? What is it?”
“The truth is—”
After listening to what Alcarion had to say, I figured it couldn’t be helped.
And so, I ended up enrolling at the academy, hiding my identity, and going to school alongside Nayuta.
