She is Reading My Thoughts Again Today - Chapter 78
Amusement Park Date
After reflecting on Kisaragi’s last visit to my house, we come to the amusement park in search of that ‘heat of the moment when you feel like kissing’.
“The amusement park hasn’t opened yet. Should I buy us tickets first?”
We’re here.
“…I wonder if we really need to come all the way here to,”
“Are you still talking about that?”
Kisaragi sighs at my words.
Today Kisaragi is wearing a pair of pants so that she can play freely in the amusement park. Her cool side seems to stand out more, she is really lovely.
“Thank you for the compliment. I mean, I’ve come all this way to the amusement park, I’ll be a waste if I don’t enjoy myself to the fullest.”
“Yeah, that’s right.”
“More importantly, here are some money for my ticket.”
“I told you it’s okay, let me pay for you.”
“Hmm, okay then. Thanks.”
Do I seem so broke that she needed to give me some money for… No, or rather.
“If I asked you to give me some money because I was going gambling, would you give me some?”
“Students under the age of twenty shouldn’t gamble.”
“You know that’s not what I meant, right?”
“I know, but I’m not worried. Hokuto-san won’t do such thing, right?”
The bright smile directed at me is a little scary.
“…putting too much trust to someone can also be a problem.”
She pulls my arm with her little hand and head to the counter.
“Anyway, let’s buy our tickets.”
“Yeah, yeah…”
We buy our tickets in a dusky coloured booth and got into the line of the amusement park entrance, which hasn’t opened yet. We wait there for several minutes while looking at the pamphlet given to us. While we are discussing about which rides we want to ride, the announcement of the amusement park opening echoed around us.
“It’s open Hokuto-san. Come on, hurry.”
I pull her arm as she quickens her steps to hurry up.
“Don’t run, it’s dangerous. Besides there aren’t that many people here, we have a plenty of time.”
“…is that so.”
Despite of my words, her steps naturally became faster and faster as we walk into the amusement park. I guess I’ll go along with it.
“So, which one do you want to ride first?”
“The water ride, the one that splashes.”
“Eh, we’re getting wet already?”
We’re going to get wet on the first ride?
“It’s fine. We won’t get wet on the ride, rather the water splashes around the attraction, so you’ll need to be careful when walking around.”
“I see, that’s good to hear.”
“It’s an intense ride like a roller coaster, but it’s not as intense as a roller coaster. I think it will be a good place to start.”
“Have you ever come here with someone by any chance?”
“No, this is my first time here. But I’ve read the thoughts of people who have come here.”
“Ahh, so that’s why.”
“So, which one do you want to ride after this one?”
“You’re asking me about the next ride already? Isn’t it too soon?”
“We’re going to have more and more people coming here, you know? You better make up your mind.”
“We don’t have to go around in such a hurry.”
“Don’t you want to ride all of them?”
I sigh at her happily smiling face.
“…I see, I understand now. You came here just because you wanted to come, right?”
“Of course.”
She doesn’t take any offense from my words, well I don’t mean to offend her anyway. Seeing her smiling happily like this, I can’t help but to smile myself.
“Then what am I feeling restless for…”
“It’s better to be prepared. You never know when you might want to do it.”
“…I don’t think we’re going to do it at this rate.”
“You’re talking about it again.”
“Stop teasing me…”
Perhaps sensing my heavy footsteps, she pulls me away.
…well, as long as Kisaragi is having fun, that’s all that matters.
