She is Reading My Thoughts Again Today - Chapter 27
Continuation ● Request Day
Me and Kisaragi went to the library after school. Seeing me and Kisaragi coming in, the junior who is on duty smiled bitterly. Please forgive me because I’m always here to return and borrow some books.
“Sorry. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too.”
“Yeah.”
That’s a really efficient conversation.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Then I looked around the library and noticed there is no one here today. This way, the junior who is on duty will know who our client is. But still, there is a chance that sudden visitors will come into the library. I’ll try to send a signal to Kisaragi when our client comes in. I mean, that’s all I can do. Kisaragi won’t be able to use her ability when I’m by her side, so I’ll wait for Kota Aizawa and Mizuki Tadakoro near the entrance. Kisaragi should be behind the bookshelf in the back. When I look at her, all I can see is her half top of her body doing the piece sign with her hand with a straight face. Stop it, I’m scared.
In the meantime, I heard the library door open. The fresh-looking man who turns around and catches my eye is Kota Aizawa. Then, the girl laughing next to him must be Mizuki Tadokoro. She is smaller than Kisaragi and the word ‘cute’ surely fits her. I Immediately signalled Kisaragi with a glance. She noticed my signal and withdrew her hand from doing the piece sign. Aizawa and Tadakoro seems to be picking books while talking about something, I can’t hear what they are talking about. I’m worried that he isn’t familiar with the library, but he seemed familiar with it. Maybe he also often comes to the library. I’m relieved.
Now, if Kisaragi fails to read Tadakoro’s mind as she previously explained before, she is supposed to signal me and Aizawa by reading a book so that we can see it. However, when I looked at her, she was hidden and I couldn’t see her. Does that mean there is no problem?
“Hokuto-san.”
“Eh.”
Before I knew it, she is right in front of me. She is pulling my sleeve with a pale face.
“What?”
“Let’s go.”
“Why? What happened?”
I came here with the intention to borrow a book, I can’t just leave without having the situation explained to me.
“Please.”
I left the library as if being dragged by Kisaragi. I had no choice but to follow her. When we return to the classroom, she sits in her seat and lets out a sigh.
“What’s wrong?”
I put my pencil case and other things I left on my desk into my backpack and get ready to leave. She seems to have already finished packing.
“She definitely likes him.”
“Well, that’s good for him.”
“But her thoughts were really deep and heavy. It’s not something that I could ask casually…”
She is shaking and hugging her own shoulder. She must have heard something terrible. She hears all kinds of thoughts every day, but I never thought she would be so frightened.
“You haven’t encounter someone like her before?”
“I wonder why…”
“I think it’s because your feeling is also heavy.”
That’s all I can say. She instantly turned a straight face and placed her hands on her lap. Where did the trembling go?
“Well, I’ll explain about it better later. Thanks for your help, and I’m sorry.”
Then Kisaragi said,
“I’ll be straightforward. Will you buy some tangerine jellies on your way home?”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll buy it.”
As I got up and prepared myself to go home, I heard a thumping sound running down the hallway.
The destination of the sound was not surprisingly, this classroom.
Aizawa-kun who is out of breath opened the door vigorously.
“How was it?”
He came over to hear the result.
“Ahh, how she feels about you right?”
“Yes!”
Kisaragi steps forward and bounces.
“No problem, your confession will definitely be a success.”
As he looks at me, his eyes brighten. Finally, he has a big smile on his face as he reached his hand to Kisaragi. Kisaragi hesitates for a moment, but then she shakes his hand.
“Thank you! Thank you very much! I don’t know how to thank you enough…”
“No, it’s fine. No matter how much you like each other, you cannot move on without confessing your feelings. If you went on with your current relationship and don’t care for each other, it won’t last long. It all depends on you.”
She smiled brightly and left the classroom with her bag in her hand.
“I wish you all the best.”
I bid him a farewell and followed Kisaragi out of the classroom. As I’m leaving the classroom, I can see that she is still smiling.
