Rising from the Slum City of Reincarnation in Another World ~ Gathering, Hunting, and Living a Slow Life by Eating - Chapter SS
Chapter SS Swordsman
“Are you ready, Ed?”
“Of course. Harris, let’s go.”
“Come at me.”
“Here I go—hiyaaa!”
Clang!
Our swords clash.
Clank!
As our blades lock, Harris grins slyly.
“Not bad, Harris.”
“I’ve been training between herb sessions.”
Right, left, right—we exchange blows, and as I circle to the right, Harris spins as well, and we both begin twirling around each other.
“Take this!”
“Not so fast!”
Our swords collide again, deadlocked in tension.
“I can’t let you steal the spotlight.”
“Look who’s talking, Ed.”
From the sidelines, Minya waves her hands enthusiastically.
“Go, both of you, fight on~!”
Minya’s cheerful encouragement fills the air. It’s been a while since we’ve had her blessing.
“Take that!”
“Hyaa!”
Our blades clash multiple times in rapid succession.
Both Harris and I are moving sharper, likely thanks to Minya’s blessing covering us both.
Sparks fly as our swords meet.
“Alright, that’s enough! It’s a draw this time!”
Lania calls an end to the duel.
“Ed, you’re as sharp as ever.”
“Yeah, and you’ve gotten stronger.”
“W-Well, yeah.”
Harris scratches under his nose sheepishly.
Both Harris and I have been training our swordsmanship since the Stampede.
I used to be the stronger one, but now we’re evenly matched.
Well, Harris has the advantage of being older, with a sturdier build and more defined muscles.
“But hey, it’s fine. I’m supposed to be the brains of this operation anyway!”
“Yeah, for a civil officer, you’re way too strong. It’s baffling.”
We both burst into laughter.
Alright, time to head out—we’ll be late for school if we don’t hurry.

Authors Note:
[Completion] Announcement
Thank you so much for reading this far.
With the publication of the printed novel and manga adaptations reaching a good stopping point, I have decided to officially mark this story as “complete.”
This was my first time writing such a long series, and it has been an incredible journey filled with valuable experiences.
Becoming a published author through this work was a dream come true. When I first received the offer, my heart was racing, and I could hardly believe it was real.
This story holds a very special place in my heart, and while I do feel a desire to continue it, I’ve decided to bring it to an end for now.
Ed and his friends will attend Trieste, High School, graduate, and then return to Eldania. Afterward, they’ll embark on a brief journey to explore the world—a tale for another time.
I’m also working on other projects in various places, so I hope we’ll meet again in those stories.
This journey was made possible by every single one of you, my readers. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your support.
