Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 26
Chapter 26: “Another Home Visit, Huh?” ②
Natsuki and Tsukuyomi moved to a nearby park.
The first thing Tsukuyomi did was hand him a thick bundle of papers.
“Wow, even my homework’s in here, huh?”
“You are a student, after all. Let’s keep things in order.”
Tsukuyomi let out a small chuckle—
But then, with a brief “Well then,” his expression turned serious.
“Since the new school year started, Natsuki-kun, you haven’t attended a single day of class.”
“Hey, I did show up at least twice.”
“You never actually came to the classroom or checked in with any teachers, so as far as we’re concerned, that counts as an absence.”
“…I’m sorry.”
“Sigh. The teachers are worried about you, you know. It’s no secret that you were constantly being dragged around by Yuto Miyahara. Some students even started rumors that you stopped coming because of him. Apparently, a few teachers even discussed it.”
“…I appreciate their concern.”
“Well, let’s just say Yuto-kun didn’t exactly have the best reputation with the faculty.”
Though Tsukuyomi had carefully chosen his words, his tone made it clear—
He didn’t have a very high opinion of Yuto either.
“Today, the school received an official notice regarding Yuto Miyahara’s death. Even though the two of you didn’t have the best relationship, we figured the news must have been a shock for you—at least, that’s the reasoning we went with. That said, it’s about time you showed your very-much-alive face at school again. It would really put the teachers at ease.”
“I was actually planning to go tomorrow.”
“Please do. And—though this turned into a bit of a lecture—as your teacher aside, as Tsukuyomi Mikoto, I feel a little bad for you. Between that annoying younger brother of mine and suddenly getting dragged into things by a certain nuranura-loving supreme yokai commander… You’ve already got enough on your plate. But school is important too, you know?”
“I do understand that.”
Hearing Natsuki’s honest reply, Tsukuyomi gave a satisfied nod.
Truthfully, he probably didn’t want to scold him.
But as a teacher, it was something he had to say.
Natsuki understood that too, which was why all he could do was apologize.
“Now, this isn’t as your teacher, but as Tsukuyomi Mikoto—I wanted to give you a heads-up. Your former stepsister, Anzu Ayakawa, has apparently shown up at your classroom a few times. It seems like she was trying to get in touch with you, but Miyako Minazuki kept driving her away.”
“—Huh? That’s weird. I only have a cute little brother figure in my life.”
“…Well, I’ll leave it at that. By the way—you met with some Kyoto psychics, didn’t you?”
“Wow, you already know?”
Natsuki was a bit surprised that something from just a few hours ago had already reached Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto’s ears.
But then again, he was a god.
“Quite the troublesome bunch, aren’t they?”
“Oh, absolutely.“
“Fufu. The Abe Clan has long served as Kyoto’s guardians and spent generations fighting against oni. The current head of the family is just an ordinary human, but I’ve heard his children possess exceptional power. Especially—”
“Shinonome Abe?“
“Yes. They say his strength surpasses the limits of humanity. The second son is also formidable, but within the Abe Clan, Shinonome Abe is on another level entirely. I’d prefer if you didn’t end up at odds with them, but… just be careful.”
“Haha, come on—as if I’d ever end up fighting with Seimei-san’s descendants!”
“That would certainly be for the best. The Abe Clan is constantly dealing with Shuten Doji and his kind, but recently, they’ve also been busy handling foreign demons and monsters. And even within their own ranks, there are ongoing factional disputes. If someone like you—someone with ridiculously overwhelming power—were to catch their attention… They’d definitely try to use you.”
“Ugh.”
Tsukuyomi’s words made Natsuki’s already annoyed feelings double.
“Honestly, wouldn’t it be easier if one of you gods just went and took out Shuten Doji already?”
The words slipped out before he could stop himself.
Tsukuyomi let out a small chuckle.
“Natsuki-kun, you’ve met some gods who are pretty laid-back, but most of them… don’t really care about humans at all.”

Breaking News: Yuto’s reputation among the teachers was also absolutely terrible. (Not surprising!)
