Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V3 Chapter 08.5
Chapter 08.5: “Aren’t we just relaxing?”
“Man, it’s boring without Natsuki-kun around.”
“Indeed.”
In the Yura family’s living room, Ginko Aoyama, a human and police officer, and Koume Lucifer, an angel, were relaxing, drinking tea, and munching on rice crackers.
Haruko Yura had gone to her part-time job, while Jack and Nancy were out on a lovey-dovey date.
With Natsuki gone to meet God, the two found themselves with time to spare.
“Ever since we met Natsuki-kun, we’ve spent a lot of time together, so having a moment like this feels quite new, doesn’t it?”
“Truth be told, we’ve only known each other for a few days.”
“To me, it feels like about six months already.”
“What’s that about?”
“Well, Natsuki-kun is a middle schooler, so normally he wouldn’t be at home during these hours. It’s been a bit unusual until now.”
“It’s all the gods and demons bringing their troubles that’s the problem.”
“They really are a nuisance!”
Ginko was caught up in these events, and Koume, having a past of attacking Natsuki, couldn’t say much about other gods or demons.
“God is your grandfather, right, Koume-san? Wasn’t it okay that you didn’t go to meet him with Natsuki-kun?”
“You don’t get it, Ginko. Meeting God is good enough just when getting New Year’s money.”
“What a cold grandchild! Even God deserves to cry about that!”
While saying this, Ginko just laughed heartily.
For Koume, meeting her mother Lilith was more bothersome than meeting God.
Whenever they met, Lilith would invariably ask, “Have you found a lover yet?” and sigh disappointedly, going on to boast about how popular she used to be, which really tired Koume out.
“I wonder what they’re talking about right now.”
“Probably this: God is on his knees, begging Natsuki with tears to please take care of his granddaughter.”
“I doubt even Natsuki-kun would make God kneel, though.”
Ginko thought that Natsuki wouldn’t go that far, and from what she heard, God seemed too proud to ever kneel.
Just then, Ginko felt something odd.
“―hmm?”
“What’s up?”
“I’m hungry. It’s about time for lunch.”
“Why do you look like you felt some power just because you’re hungry? Well, whatever.”
“What should we do for lunch?”
“Natsuki just messaged saying he has things to do and won’t be coming home for a while.”
“Oh, right. Alphonse-san mentioned he’s starting to teach Ren-kun how to cook today.”
“I see. Then let’s call Michael’s Diner and have them make something and bring it over!”
“Got it!”
One hour later.
Alphonse Michael appeared, wearing an apron and carrying a food carrier.
“Hey, it’s Michael’s Diner! Here’s your egg-fried rice and miso ramen! And what’s with making me do all this!”
“You’re a very dutiful angel, aren’t you?”
“Must be this thoroughness that helped him build a harem.”
“Shut up! Anyway, I made it, so pay up. That’ll be 1500 yen.”
Koume pulled out a clasp wallet from her back pocket and paid.
“Keep the change!”
“…Exactly the right amount, huh! 1000 yen, two 100 yen coins, and six 50 yen coins? That’s an annoying way to pay. Stop making it jingle!”
“Why do I even have so many 50 yen coins in my wallet? It’s disappointing every time I think they’re 100 yen because they’re silver.”
“I get that.”
“Yeah, I get it, but still!”
From the food carrier, he set out plates of egg-fried rice, miso ramen, and two plates of dumplings.
“The dumplings are on the house. Ren worked hard on wrapping them, so please eat them.”
“…For someone who nearly got killed, you really take good care of things.”
“It’s in my nature! Strength isn’t a crime. How can you blame a kid who didn’t know any other way to live except being ordered to fight? We adults have to guide them.”
“…Really living up to the name, Harem Angel, huh?”
“Stop calling me that! Well, I’m off! I’ll come back for the plates later!”
With that, Alphonse spread his wings and flew into the sky.
“…I was thinking, hasn’t Alphonse adapted too quickly for someone who’s only been in Japan for a few days?”
“Angels adapt insanely fast. Even I wasn’t in Japan much before.”
“Oh? Where were you before this?”
“Atlanti… Oops, that was probably too soon to tell humanity.”
“Wait, did you just say something huge? Please tell me, Koume-san!”
“Stop nagging! Just eat your ramen.”
“No way, I’m definitely going to find out!”
“Even Ginko was freaking out about fantasy stuff at first.”
“Once you’re fully immersed, you just go with it!”
Ginko with her egg-fried rice and dumplings, and Koume with her miso ramen and dumplings, returned to the living room and started their meal with a cheerful “Itadakimasu!”
