Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 71
Chapter 71: “You must know the big name, right?”
“I can’t believe I’m actually getting to meet you, Samatan. I would have been more excited if it weren’t for the circumstances.”
“I’m also happy to meet you, Kazutan. But, it’s unfortunate about your brother. My condolences.”
“…Thank you. But, it was the result of my brother’s choice.”
In the Minazuki family’s reception room, Amaterasu-Omikami, along with Koume, Ginko, Kazuto, and Samael, were taking a break with some tea.
The Minazuki family was verifying documents handed over by Mammon, which listed humans, demons, and evil spirits dealt with by Ren in the shadowy aspects of his work.
Mammon had killed a person who was mediating such deeds for Ren and stolen the documents to think about Ren’s future.
Ren had dealt with a considerable number of people, saving as many as he eliminated. Those he dealt with were mostly villains, such as rogue psychics, their mediators, and humans who plotted against their enemies using the unknown power of psychic abilities.
Of course, this doesn’t justify taking lives.
However, Ren Kobayashi, who was abandoned by his parents as a child and had to survive without caring about the means, and was exploited by malicious people, must also be taken into account.
It’s ethically wrong for Ren’s parents to have discarded him like an object just because he had extraordinary psychic abilities.
While Ren must be held accountable, those who forced the dirty work onto him and Ren’s parents must also take responsibility.
“Your brother died right before your eyes. Even if you’re not feeling it now, the emotions might overflow later. It wasn’t Mammon’s doing, but he was involved… I don’t know if I have the right, but if you ever want to talk or need to cry, I’m here for you.”
After saying this, Samael gave her contact information to Kazuto.
“Thank you, Samatan. I mean, Samael-san.”
“Fufufu, it’s fine to call me Samatan, Kazutan.”
Watching this exchange, the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, who had dressed up in divine attire for Kazuto’s visit, was filled with jealousy, grinding her teeth.
“…Koume-san, Ginko-chan, what’s with them? Samatan and Kazutan are acting like newlyweds. What’s this about lending a shoulder to cry on? As if your chest is anything to boast about. If Kazuto-kun needs comforting, my ample figure is far more suitable!”
“In your case, it’d be your belly catching him, not your chest.”
“Leave it to me. Lately, my belly’s almost as big as my chest—hey, what are you making me say!”
“That was so easy, huh.”
“I’m actually holding my belly in right now, but it pops out the moment I relax, so please no more teasing!”
Amaterasu protested to Koume while holding her stomach.
Luckily, Samael and Kazuto didn’t hear their conversation.
“Amaterasu-san, why don’t you try video streaming? Like, ‘I’m the sun goddess but I got a bit chubby from eating and sleeping, so I’m trying to diet.'”
“That would definitely set the internet on fire! I wouldn’t be able to go outside anymore!”
“You don’t go outside anyway!”
“Fuhihi, that right? No, no, you’re wrong. I’ve made up my mind. I’m going to transform this stubborn body into a slender one like yours, Koume-san!”
Hearing Amaterasu’s declaration, Koume and Ginko glanced at her body and dismissed the idea.
“That’s impossible.”
“Yeah, no way.”
“That’s too harsh!”
Ignoring Amaterasu’s tears, Koume and Ginko continued their conversation.
“Mammon and my dreadful father are up to something fishy, and my brother Lucifer will likely nag endlessly about it. Plus, since Uncle Michael’s son was nearly killed, he’s sure to voice his complaints.”
“…Can you really settle it with just complaints after your son was almost killed?”
“Stuff like this happens fairly often with demons. The problem is with Ren Kobayashi, who’s ridiculously strong.”
“Mammon-san has prepared some insurance to protect Kobayashi-san, so hopefully, it won’t turn into a bad situation.”
“Can’t the police handle it?”
“It’s tricky. We’re dealing with issues beyond Mukaijima City, and he did make quite a mess, even if he was being used. If we can pin most of the blame on the mediator, it might lighten his sentence a bit. And then there’s Natsuki-kun, who had nearly taken his life. Well, technically, he was dead, wasn’t he?”
“It’s all because God had a whim. I feel like starting a ‘club of those cut down by Natsuki,’ myself included.”
“Lucky you weren’t sliced from the top of your head down.”
“…Even the Super Angel Koume-sama was done like that?”
While Koume and Ginko were having this conversation, Amaterasu, who had stopped crying and was playing with her smartphone, looked up.
“Um, was it Ren Kobayashi? If it’s okay with you, my dad said he could take care of him.”
“Sorry to ask, but who’s your dad?”
Ginko asked timidly, and Amaterasu laughed exaggeratedly.
“Oh come on, Ginko-chan, it’s my dad we’re talking about – obviously, it’s Izanagi-no-Mikoto!”
“Since Natsuki-kun isn’t here, I’ll say it for him. Another big name has shown up!”
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Maybe it’s time for a battle between Amaterasu and Samael… just kidding.
