Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 49
Chapter 49: “A Fake, right?” ①
“First of all, we’d like you to meet Amaterasu-sama. She’s been looking forward to meeting you, Natsuki-dono.”
“Me?”
Natsuki tilted his head in confusion, and Kaya explained,
“Amaterasu-sama is aware that you saved Mizuchi-sama.”
“Well, I guess that can’t be helped.”
Natsuki had met Grandpa Nagi and his teacher Tsukuyomi, who were related to Amaterasu.
It’s not surprising that the story had reached her.
There’s no point in questioning further, so they decide to meet Amaterasu right away.
“Please, follow me,”
Kaya leads the way, and they enter the Minazuki household.
Miyako and Mio seem shocked at the sight of Koume, more due to the presence of an unbelievably beautiful woman than recognizing her identity.
Furthermore, Miyako and Kazuto greet each other with a nod, indicating some recognition.
Elder Seiun and Unkai, upon seeing Ginko, commented, “There’s the problem child from Aoyama,” showing they are also acquainted.
The Minazuki house, which Natsuki had partly destroyed on his last visit, remained in the same condition except for the area where Mizuchi was found, which had been repaired and now had a well-constructed annex.
“Wow,” Natsuki felt a force that seemed powerful enough to send him flying just by approaching it. Not only was it divine power, but the presence was overwhelming.
(So, this is Amaterasu-Omikami. No wonder she’s on a whole different level. It seems you need a certain level of power just to notice her.)
Feeling the presence of the yet unseen deity, Natsuki broke out in a cold sweat.
In another world, he had fought and defeated a Demon God who claimed to be the ruler and the cause of all problems of that world, but even that god didn’t possess power like Amaterasu’s.
Natsuki, who had slain gods, didn’t recall ever becoming arrogant, but the tremendous power of Amaterasu made him tense up.
(Seriously, it’s a good thing we’re not enemies. I probably couldn’t win against her even if I tried my hardest.)
Ginko, who also sensed the power, looked a bit pale. Koume must feel Amaterasu’s power too, but she was casually humming, true to her Lucifer lineage.
“Amaterasu-sama is waiting for you over here. Please wait a moment while I call her.”
“Uh, shouldn’t we go to her, considering she’s Amaterasu-Omikami?”
Natsuki quickly asked, as Kaya was about to leave them waiting outside the annex to call Amaterasu. However, Kaya looked a bit troubled and shook her head.
“We’ve been instructed to call her as soon as you arrive… Please wait here,”
Kaya said, bowing deeply, leaving Natsuki with nothing more to say.
Raising her head, Kaya went off to call Amaterasu from the annex where she presumably was.
“Why go to all this trouble?”
“Probably because the room’s too messy, and it’d be a letdown to show it.”
“No way, Koume-san. It’s hard to believe Amaterasu-sama would live in a dirty room. Even if she did, she couldn’t possibly make it so messy in just a few days that she couldn’t invite people over. I think she might have a hobby she doesn’t want people to see before she’s got everything in order.”
“Putting myself aside, Ginko, that’s pretty disrespectful. She’s a big deal in Japan, you know.”
“I don’t specifically worship any gods.”
“You could worship me, you know?”
“I don’t worship any family.”
“Ah, well. Just saying.”
While Natsuki was amused by Ginko and Koume’s banter, the divine presence in the annex shifted. Then, they heard Kaya’s panicked voice, “Are you really going to go out looking like that? We have hakama ready for you.”
As Natsuki was puzzling over this, the sound of the annex door sliding open was heard.
“―Ha?”
A woman in a sweat suit appeared in front of them. With Natsuki and the others staring in disbelief, the woman introduced herself.
“Sorry for the appearance, but I’m Amaterasu-Omikami. My bad.”
(…She must be a fake, right?)
