Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 37
Chapter 37: “Aliens are pretty cool, aren’t they?” ②
“Finally, we’ve made it back.”
“There was a moment I thought we wouldn’t make it, but somehow, we’re back.”
Natsuki and Kazuto were completely exhausted in front of the Miyahara house.
They had left Yura’s house just before evening, and before they knew it, the day was almost over.
Of course, there was a reason it took so long to get home.
Jack had offered to send them back in his spaceship, and the two boys were thrilled beyond words.
They all decided to go together, but Ginko declined, saying, “No, it would shatter all common sense,” and Koume wasn’t keen either, fearing motion sickness, so it ended up being a boys-only adventure.
As Jack entered the triangular spaceship, a beam of light emanated from its center, sucking Natsuki and Kazuto into the spacecraft.
Floating upwards, they thought, “Being abducted must feel something like this,” as they entered the ship.
The excitement was mountain-high inside the spaceship, but that’s when the real challenge began.
Jack, trying to be considerate, suggested they go for a little drive, and of course, Natsuki and Kazuto were overjoyed.
The proposal to go around the far side of the moon sent their spirits soaring, and the boys cheered wildly.
And so, they returned, completely worn out from an unexpected event, just a short while ago.
For the time being, they had had their fill of space.
“I’m sorry, my friends. I never expected that, in addition to getting caught by the police, we would end up battling pirates.”
“It’s okay. We were the ones who got too carried away and got caught. By the way, are you okay with the fine?”
“Well, it goes without saying that the driver is responsible. The fine isn’t a significant amount, so it’s not a problem.”
“For me, having a real battle with space pirates turned out to be a great memory. I was wondering whether to get involved in fantasy, but ended up fully immersed in sci-fi!”
“…My sister was thankful, but I also want to express my deepest gratitude. I admire the courage displayed by both of you, Natsuki and Kazuto.”
At Jack’s words of thanks, Natsuki and Kazuto smiled broadly.
“What are you talking about? Helping a friend’s sister is just natural.”
“Exactly. It’s great that Jessie is safe!”
Jack hugged Natsuki and Kazuto.
The boys felt a ticklish sense of accomplishment.
“Alright, time to head back.”
“Won’t Uncle and Auntie be angry?”
“Thanks to my shitty brother, coming back in the middle of the night won’t get me in trouble.”
Kazuto, now familiar with matters of spirits and magic, seemed a bit more at ease understanding Yuto’s current situation.
However, his parents were a different story.
They might find it pitiable how Yuto, who used to be quite the playboy and now ignored by women, was getting frustrated without an outlet for his desires.
If Kazuto got deeply involved in the supernatural stuff, Natsuki considered telling their parents about Yuto’s situation.
However, this was a delicate issue, so he was considering consulting with the police chief, Hisashi Aoyama.
“Damn it, why won’t it get up!”
A loud voice could be heard outside.
Without needing to think twice, it seemed Yuto was in a foul mood, unable to vent his desires. Natsuki and Kazuto exchanged looks, burst into laughter, and then high-fived before parting ways.
The long Saturday was coming to an end.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Actually, as they were heading to the far side of the moon in the spaceship, Jack got pulled over by the space police with a “Hey, you there in the spaceship, stop right there” and got a ticket for speeding. The officer, chewing gum loudly and tapping his cosmic baton, said, “We don’t really approve of bringing humans into space,” which was quite intimidating.
Just when they were feeling down and ready to go back home, Jack got a distress call from his sister, Jessie. She was on a spaceship (like trains or boats in space) when it was attacked by space pirates, and she needed Jack’s help.
Without hesitation, Natsuki and Kazuto joined Jack to rescue Jessie and the others, facing off against the space pirates.
Natsuki, returning as a hero from another world, was unmatched, and Kazuto, with his cosmic sword, vanquished the common foes.
When the saved travelers asked for their names, they humbly replied, “We’re not worthy of mention,” and finally made their way back.
By the way, Jessie might have developed a little crush on Kazuto…
