Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 34
Chapter 34: “Another big name, huh?” ①
“Ah. Lunchtime!”
After getting out of the bath, Alphonse, who had been waiting, wore the slacks and shirt Ginko had bought from a nearby Western clothing store and prepared lunch.
Kazuto had been worried when he first brought him over, but now seeing Alphonse completely recovered was a relief.
(Seeing Alphonse-san so full of life makes me appreciate the importance of my pure lineage)
Natsuki possesses a healing magic called “Heal,” powerful enough to have once restored Miyako Minazuki when she was split in two.
However, the wings of Koume, scorched by Natsuki’s lightning, didn’t heal as well.
It was unclear whether this was due to a lack of magical power or Natsuki’s insufficient skill, but the “Heal” spell seemed to have limited effect on angels.
Yet, the fact that Koume recovered through the blood of pure lineage and that Alphonse also recovered made him realize how dreadful it would have been if he hadn’t been of pure lineage.
“Let’s eat!”
“Let’s dig in!”
“Thank you for including me, Alphonse-san.”
“Don’t mention it. Kazuto is my benefactor. Eat up!”
Alphonse, too, wearing an apron, joined them at the round table with his own plate.
“What’s the matter, Natsuki? Aren’t you eating?”
“Ah, yes. Let’s eat.”
“Yeah.”
“Delicious!”
With a single bite, Natsuki was impressed.
Alphonse’s homemade meat sauce pasta was excellent.
The base sauce, simmered to bring out the sweetness of the tomatoes, contains ground meat and onions sautéed to a caramel color, along with coarsely chopped meat to vary the texture.
The pasta, which Alphonse had left behind saying, “You should try this,” appears to be homemade. Its slightly thicker, chewy texture is irresistible. Cheese was optional, depending on taste.
“Delicious!”
Usually, Natsuki would eat pasta either frozen or with store-bought sauce, selecting the flavor he felt like at the time.
While he did like pasta, the idea of going to a pasta restaurant always seemed a bit daunting, so he had never been.
He had eaten spaghetti Napolitana or carbonara at a Western-style restaurant in the shopping district, and while those were familiar and tasty, Alphonse’s homemade meat sauce was even more exquisite.
“…As expected from the angel who won a cooking contest against a goddess.”
“Don’t praise me. Or else you’ll only get dessert.”
As Natsuki and the others trembled with the deliciousness of the pasta, a strawberry mousse was served.
Ginko and Koume’s eyes sparkled.
“This is amazing… Not only is it surprising that Natsuki-kun and the others are part of a fantasy, but Alphonse-san’s pasta is too delicious! I can’t go back to convenience stores or frozen foods anymore!”
“Stop it, Kazuto. You’re making me blush.”
Kazuto, naturally friendly, had quickly become comfortable with everyone.
Surely, he would build a good relationship with Jack and Nancy too. And when his mother sees him after such a long time, she will definitely be pleased.
After Ginko and Koume had finished their pasta with single-minded focus, they took a bite of the mousse and exclaimed, “Delicious!”
“Alright, Alphonse! I’ll make you the exclusive chef for the Yura family. Be thankful and work hard!”
“Don’t joke with me. I don’t mind cooking, but I can’t cause any more trouble for the Yura family!”
“Mama Haruko’s cooking is delicious, of course, but with Alphonse, I can make selfish requests without feeling guilty.”
“I’m not okay with this. Seriously, the ingredients I bought ended up at the bottom of the river because of that attack, I have no money, and to begin with, no job.”
“Eh? Angels… do they work?”
Kazuto was surprised, and Alphonse nodded as if it were obvious.
“Some are self-sufficient, while others blend in with humans and work. Surprisingly, you might know someone who is part of the divine or demonic realms.”
“…I’m sure Yamada-san, three doors down, is something other than human. Her gathering of neighborhood information is incredible. She knows everything. If you have a problem, just ask Yamada-san, and she’ll have the answer.”
“Amazing, Yamada-san!”
While they enjoyed a pleasant lunch and laughter, the doorbell rang
—Ding-dong.
“Oh, someone’s here.”
Since it wouldn’t do to have the guests answer, and considering Jack and Nancy might have returned, Natsuki put down his fork, wiped his mouth with a tissue, and hurried to the entrance.
“And, who might you be?”
“Hello. It’s Michael.”
“—Haa?”
Another big name was at the door.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Michael’s arrival!
Here he comes! Even angels are not showing up in order!
