Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - Chapter 41
Chapter 41: “Doesn’t a sleepover get you excited?” ①
Natsuki and the others were riding in Ginko Aoyama’s car, heading towards the Yura residence.
Thanks to Chief Aoyama bringing several more reliable police officers than Ginko, they managed to take over the scene. However, they were indeed taken aback by the existence of “Angel Lucifer” and “aliens.”
Chief Aoyama, placing a hand gently on Natsuki’s shoulder, said with a near-crying voice, “You’ve overdid it,” though it’s not like Natsuki did it on purpose.
In Jack’s case, it was the fault of the person who kidnapped his fiancée Nancy, and for Koume Lucifer’s case, mistaking Natsuki for a demon was understandable.
Just when Natsuki thought to head back after dumping all the problems, Koume threw a tantrum about following him since she had nowhere to stay, and Jack and Nancy also expressed a wish to join, so they were all being taken back by Ginko.
Suddenly bringing back three more people, two of whom were aliens, was overwhelming, but then Jack and Nancy could disguise themselves as humans, which they promptly did, revealing a handsome blond man and a beautiful woman.
Koume was as beautiful as a model, and Ginko had a beauty that suited her smile well.
Natsuki, being the only average-looking one, felt a bit out of place.
“―This car is a bit cramped.”
“Please don’t complain about the retro car! It’s a five-seater, just so you know!”
Ginko’s compact car was anything but comfortable.
Ginko took the driver’s seat, and Koume, who claimed she’d get sick anywhere but in the front, sat next to her. Natsuki, for some reason, ended up sandwiched between Jack and Nancy in the back seat.
“Actually, even if they don’t get found out as aliens and an angel, is it really okay to bring home three foreigners?”
“According to my dad, Natsuki-kun’s mom wouldn’t mind, but what kind of person is she? I’ve only greeted her a few times, so I don’t really know.”
“No, she’s just an ordinary person like anyone else.”
“Really now?”
As the car rattled slightly, Ginko started a conversation as if remembering something.
“By the way, the Demonic Sword Taro you gave me, Natsuki-kun, is incredibly awesome.”
“What a lame name! Your naming sense is terrible!”
“Leave it be! But, the spirit sword I originally had stopped obeying me.”
“…Maybe because you only named one of them?”
Natsuki’s joke prompted Ginko to seriously consider, “Hmm, you might be right.”
“Demonic Sword Taro (Maken Tarō), or Manta for short!”
“It makes me think of a marine creature swimming leisurely in the ocean.”
“I wanna go to Okinawa!”
“The other one is like a girl, it’s name is Spirit Sword Hanako (Maken Hanako), in short Mank―”
“Woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”
“Gyaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”
Natsuki wasn’t the only one who screamed to stop a potentially outrageous word; Koume joined in too.
Then, Ginko somehow grinned mischievously.
“Huh? Why did you suddenly raise your voices? Did you perhaps misunderstand me as about to say something weird? Oh no, how dreadful, being with a puberty-stricken middle schooler and a surprisingly lewd angel.”
“Wait, ju—”
“You devil!”
“Hmm? So, what were you thinking that made you shout? With those cute lips and a somewhat assertive attitude, please do tell. Come on, now!”
“…What kind of person are you! There wasn’t anyone this strange in another world!”
“It’s because you were about to say something that could be misunderstood! If it started with Manta, there’s only one answer that comes to mind!”
“I want to hear that answer! Quick, quick!”
Jack and Nancy, with Natsuki in between, were revising their impression of Ginko,
“Humans are fun creatures. So lively and noisy.”
“Yes, indeed, dear.”
“Haha.”
“Fufu.”
They were flirting.
After a while, still enduring Ginko’s harassment, the car arrived at the Yura residence.
“I’m home!”
“Hey! If you’re going to be late, you should call! You had me worried!”
“Ah.”
“Hisashi-kun told me Natsuki was helping someone out, so that’s good, but try not to worry us too much!”
“Sorry, Mom.”
It had been about six years since Natsuki last got scolded by his mother.
It was inappropriate, but he felt so happy he almost cried.
“Oh my, are all of you Natsuki’s acquaintances from overseas? Please, come in. Dinner is ready, so help yourselves.”
〜〜The Love Theater of Demonic Sword Taro and Spirit Sword Hanako〜〜
Spirit Sword Hanako: “What’s with that attitude! Just because our master likes you, don’t get cocky, newbie!”
Demonic Sword Taro: “Hmph. Being a newbie or whatever doesn’t matter. The stronger magic sword is the one the master will use.”
Spirit Sword Hanako: “Such a cold attitude! (What’s with this guy… He’s different from any boy I’ve met before. This feeling, no way, it can’t be. I refuse to admit it’s love at first sight!)”
