Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - Chapter 14
Chapter 14: “I almost killed her, but I’m not the bad one here, right?” ①
With a disgustingly unpleasant sound, Miyako’s upper and lower body fell to the rooftop.
Organs spilled out, and a red pool of blood spread around.
“Ah…”
Miyako’s upper body rolled over.
Natsuki’s eyes met with Miyako’s, which were beginning to lose their light. The blood drained from Natsuki’s face.
“Wait, eh, hold on. Isn’t her sword supposed to be some kind of powerful, fantasy-style spirit blade? Should it really break this easily? And because of its fragility, I ended up slicing her body in half!”
Fortunately, or unfortunately, she wasn’t instantly killed.
To prevent creating a conflict with the Minazuki family before deciding whether they were enemies, Natsuki hurriedly ran over, roughly pulling the upper and lower halves together in an attempt to fix things.
“Heal, heal, heal! Just heal already!”
Thanks to the repeated use of the healing magic “Heal,” which had been a great success in another world, Miyako’s upper and lower halves began to fuse back together.
New organs formed, and blood vessels reconnected. Once the internal organs were repaired, the flesh rapidly regained its natural color.
“―Gah!?”
Miyako gasped for air as if lifting her face on her own, taking deep breaths in search of oxygen.
Natsuki was relieved that she hadn’t died.
“Thank goodness, you’re not dead!”
“I-I-I-I. My body, it was cut in half.”
Miyako, maintaining consciousness, seemed to remember that her body had been bisected. Touching her stomach as if to check, her abdomen was now perfectly intact.
However, the top part of her uniform was torn, leaving her navel exposed.
A considerate gentleman might offer his own uniform in such a situation, but Natsuki feels no obligation to do such a thing for Miyako.
It’s Miyako’s fault for not preparing a change of clothes, assuming she could be bisected.
“Dealing with a corpse would have been troublesome, so this is good!”
Natsuki’s remark was a genuine expression of his true feelings.
Regardless of whether or not this would lead to a conflict with the Minazuki family, killing someone in modern society would be a major issue.
It would be fine if the Minazuki family, or someone with spiritual abilities, could take care of it, but it’s uncertain if they would go out of their way to cover for Natsuki.
Even Aoyama, the police chief and an old acquaintance, shouldn’t find out that Natsuki had mercilessly killed someone.
(In the worst-case scenario, burning the body without a trace might be an option, but using magic carelessly and getting detected would be troublesome. Ah, I’m glad she didn’t die!)
“Eh, a corpse? What are you talking about… what happened… huh?”
Whether Miyako understood that she was nearly killed by Natsuki, or if it was the shock to both her mind and body, or perhaps both, it was unclear, but she seemed to have reached her limit and lost consciousness.
“It’s a good thing I’m not really your enemy, huh? I still haven’t got a grip on the situation in this world, and I was told by the old man to keep a low profile. If it were the other side, you’d be buried by now.”
So dumb
