Chapter 25- Group Lunch
Lunch break. Natsuhiko was waiting for this time to come.
When he opened the lunch box filled with home-cooked meals…
“Ohh..!”
He couldn’t help but exclaim in delight.
The fried chicken, which was probably the main course, was nicely chopped and large enough to be plentiful. The golden batter alone was mouth-watering, and the combination of lettuce, lemon, and green onion used to enhance the flavor made the whole lunch look stunning.
The side dishes were also amazing. Just by looking at them, one could feel the love and care that had been put into preparing it.
Natsuhiko didn’t even have to eat it…
“It’s really delicious…!”
“But Natsu-kun, you haven’t eaten yet…?”
As for Miko, she was genuinely happy to hear his impression how
Natsuhiko and Miko were sitting right next to each other on their desks.
Was it just the two of them?
Across from them were Kohaku and Souji.
They were having lunch together in Natsuhiko’s class.
Natsuhiko never asked, “Why are you guys here?” Because Natsuhiko and Miko wanted to eat with everyone.
“Let’s all dig in ♪”
But for Natsuhiko, having a calm, fast-paced younger sister is unexpected.
“Why are you in Nina?”
“I wouldn’t have followed Natsu-nii and Miko-chan if it was just the two of you. But she said you were having lunch with Kohaku-chan and Izumi-Senpai. So Nina doesn’t wanna be left out alone.”
When Nina rubs against Miko’s shoulder saying, “Mii-chan, Natsu-nii is bullying me”, Miko appeals to Natsuhiko with her eyes. “… Is there a problem?”
“No, not a problem at all!”
There was no way he could say no to his only cute girlfriend.
In contrast to his sister’s joyful cheer, “Yay, we won ♪”, Kohaku and Souji were not quite sure what to say.
But at last, Kohaku said,
“Hey. Are you sure you don’t want to have lunch alone?”
Natsuhiko and others nodded by saying “yes” with confidence.
“I don’t think people doubt us anymore, but I believe they’ll be more sincerely convinced if we show them that we’re really together, just like now.”
As Natsuhiko smiled cheerfully, Miko nodded her head in agreement.
She also wanted to have a chat with Kohaku,
“Um,”
“Hmm? What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry for shouting earlier…”
“Stop!”
“…!”
But Kohaku interrupted Miko loud and clear.
“If you apologize, I’ve to apologize too! That’s why you can’t!”
“…?”
Miko-chan was confused by the peculiar Kansai dialect.
Natsuhiko, who understands Kohaku well explained,
“Kohaku wants to say, “We’re about the same, so lets bygones be bygones rather than apologize to each other.” I’m sorry. She’s a klutz, too.”
Was she embarrassed? Or angry?
“~~~! Don’t translate it so clearly, it’s embarrassing! You better watch out your wife’s lunch.”
“Whaa! D-don’t tell me, You’re not after my fried chicken, right?”
Natsuhiko desperately guards his lunch box while Kohaku tries to steal his fried chicken.
Souji reassured Miko who was surprised by such a scene.
“Well, they’re always like this, so just ignore them, okay?”
Natsuhiko and Kohaku were engaged in a serious battle, while Souji peacefully had his lunch.
Miko couldn’t help but smile at the trio.
The relationship between Natsuhiko, Kohaku, and Souji was always like this.
