My Third Life Is in the Future World! After Being Betrayed and Losing His Memory, the Former Hero Begins Sweet School Days in a World with a 1:50 Male-to-Female Ratio - 28
Chapter 28: I Don’t Understand Myself
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
Even though I didn’t dislike sex, there were times when I just wanted to be alone. Today, for the first time in a while, I was alone.
There weren’t even any classes, but when I said it was my “boy’s day,” they just let me take the day off without question. Well, considering hardly any of the other boys attended classes in the first place, I guess leniency was to be expected.
There was a strange memory inside me. It was a memory of living in a world of swords and magic. I had that kind of memory for some reason. That said, the information from that previous life was fragmented. This might have sounded absolutely absurd, but for some reason, those memories popped into my mind every so often.
To be fair, waking up in the future via a cold sleep system sounded incredulous too, but it couldn’t beat “being asked by a beautiful goddess to go to another world and act as a Hero.” After all, there was no way something like that could’ve actually happened.
Living in the future via cold sleep.
I tried chanting a spell I remembered. It was called “Fireball,” but nothing happened. I couldn’t even remember the name of the beautiful goddess who floated in my mind.
Yeah, this has to be just my imagination.

I went out to the school’s backyard. I had borrowed a wooden sword in advance, the kind they used for PE class. I didn’t know why, but the moment I held the sword, I understood how to use it. It was as if I had been wielding a sword for a long time.
“Haahhh!”
My body felt incredibly light. When I swung the sword with all my strength, it let out a booming roar.
“Sword Technique—Great Slash!”
Crack! Crack crack crack crack!
Something really was wrong. Even though I had only swung a wooden sword, I sliced clean through a tree that had to be at least 80 centimeters in diameter. The only experience I remembered was learning a bit of kendo at school. There was no way I should be able to do this.
“Sword Technique—Instant Step!”
I closed a ten-meter gap in an instant. It was the same move I had used in those imaginary memories.
“Haah~ How about this, this is the ultimate move that only the hero can use, Wings of Light!”
Nothing happened.
Hmm. What’s the meaning of this?
The techniques were only halfway there, but I could use the ones from my memories of the other world. However, anything that didn’t exist in this world—like magic— didn’t work at all. The techniques and sword skills I had learned in that world could be used here for some reason.
Countless days of fighting monsters and demons. A life that felt like it belonged only in a storybook. And, like a light novel plot, I had memories of being betrayed and killed.
I kicked off the ground as hard as I could. I managed to grab a tree branch at least six meters high.
“Could a human like this really exist in this world?”
My physical strength was abnormal. Even after having sex nearly every night, and staying up all night, my body never got tired. I could wield a sword, but I couldn’t use magic. Of course, no skills would activate either.
Thinking about that, maybe… I was just an extreme otaku. I had mastered things that could be learned through effort, but not the things that couldn’t no matter how much effort I put into it.
At least, that was the conclusion I reached. As I was now, I probably couldn’t take on any monsters. But if it were a bear or tiger, I felt like I could win with just a wooden sword.
That was the level I thought I was at. Of course, if I fought a dragon, or the ridiculously powerful Demon Lord from those strange memories, I’d probably be killed instantly.
Still, no matter how I looked at it, I didn’t feel like a normal person. My body was clearly lean and muscular. But I felt like my specs were even better than those of a heavily muscled man.
I mean, normal people can’t just jump six meters into the air, right? Maybe I should talk to someone about this.

I went to the gym to talk to the PE teacher.
“Rimelda-sensei, there’s something I’d like to ask.”
The PE teacher’s name was Rimelda-sensei.
She had red hair in a ponytail, looked to be just under thirty, and wore a tracksuit that screamed “classic gym teacher.”
“Hmm? If it isn’t Ceres-kun? What’s up?”
“Could you introduce me to a girl who’s well-versed in martial arts, or someone with exceptionally good athletic ability?”
“Huh? Why? Ohh, I get it. Ceres-kun, you like strong girls, don’t you?”
“No, actually… I have some experience with martial arts, and I was wondering how I’d fare. I just wanted to test myself a little.”
“I’ve heard you’re a guy from the past, right? But do you really think a boy like you can keep up with the girls?”
“Well, I’d just like to try to spar against someone stronger than me…”
“Is that so? In that case—Freya! Come over and spar with him for a bit.”
“Huh?! Rimelda-sensei, you want me to spar with a boy?”
“Yeah. Just keep in mind, Ceres-kun has crazy stamina for a boy… But still, he’s a boy. Go easy on him.”
It looked like she had been practicing some kind of martial art using short sticks. But she was tall. She was definitely over 180 cm, and had a pretty solid build. Her hair was brown and choppy, and her legs were long. Just by looking at her, I could tell she was strong.
“Alright. I’ll go easy on you!”
“Um…”
“This girl’s a ‘Destruction’ candidate, and she’s a school champion in several martial arts. I think she’s exactly the kind of opponent you’re asking for, Ceres-kun.”
“Destruction?”
“It’s the name of a squad. It’s a special unit that deals with serious criminals. They got the name because they destroy people like it’s nothing. Freya is already set to join them after graduation. Honestly, it’s not an exaggeration to say she’s the strongest in school.”
“I see…”
“So, what do you want to fight me with? I’ll take you on with any martial art!”
“Well, whatever you’re best at is fine with me.”
“Are you serious? Then let’s go with baton fighting, okay? This is called a soft baton. It only hurts a little when it hits.”
Yeah, that should be perfect. No one would get injured with this.
“In that case, could you explain the rules?”
The rules were simple. You’d fight with soft batons, and hitting a vital spot counted as one point. First to three points won. That was it.

“You’re kidding… Freya couldn’t land a single hit?”
“Waaahhhhhh! I lost! I lost to a boyyyy! I’ve never lost beforeeeee!”
Freya was bawling her eyes out. Losing to a boy must’ve really stung.
“Sorry… I’m sorry about that.”
To explain the result: when we actually started sparring, her movements looked like they were in slow motion. Not wanting to injure her, I used light feints and non-contact touches while avoiding all her attacks—and things ended up like this.
Honestly, with her level of skill, I felt like I could win even if there were ten… No, thirty of her.
“Ceres-kun… Just what are you? Freya is a Destruction candidate and she couldn’t even touch you…”
“I guess I did some kendo in the past or something…”
I didn’t really know myself and that was the only excuse I could offer.
