My Status Window is a yandere - CHAPTER – 9
It’s been two months since I arrived in this world, as for what has happened in this time basically, it’s been training with the knights, studying about this world, learning magic and how to survive in this world.
The above is what has happened publicly, as for my private matters, I continued doing various things, not counting the fact that I was using my ‘microscopic control’ ability 24 hours a day, thank god that with the ‘split consciousness’ ability I was able to somehow achieve it without collapsing.
But what I’ve made the most progress in these last two months was in gathering information. I was able to discover a hidden library that seems to have magic books and some pretty sensitive information inside. Fortunately, I was able to infiltrate it with my flies, but I couldn’t read any of the books through the fly. I wanted to use ‘analysis’ with the flies as a medium, but as soon as I did, the poor fly exploded.
The flies’ tiny brains can’t process information, and it’s too difficult for me to use other skills.
But the most important information I got was about the saint. I was able to discover a little about her past and her current relationships. Although most people hate her, there are a few who still get along with her. Of course I tried to get closer to her these past two months, but no matter what I do she keeps avoiding me.
Today half of the heroes gathered, except for a few, like my mother, who stayed locked in her room because they were somewhat depressed and did not want to participate in the war. There were also a few missing who do not have skills that are useful for combat and only serve as rearguards. When counting the total, only half of the heroes gathered here.
There are also the saint, several knights and a hooded wizard who are clearly suspicious.
The reason for this is because of the cave in front of us, the saint looked at us all and began to speak with a serious and solemn expression.
The saint: “As was said a few days ago, today we will do practical training fighting against real monsters. You trained and tried hard to become stronger, but you still have no experience fighting and killing monsters.”
When he said the word kill, most of the heroes put on a scared and frightened expression, I’m not surprised since we have never killed a living being besides bugs, the stress must be quite great.
In that sense I may be a bit crazy since I honestly don’t feel anything more than a little discomfort when killing.
The saint waited for everyone to calm down and continued speaking.
The saint: “Don’t worry about me and the knights, there will be no problem here, the cave you see in front of you is what we call a dungeon and this is the lowest level of all, after you prepare we will begin, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.”
One of the people present raised his hand while looking at me with a somewhat unpleasant expression, probably going to say stupid things.
The saint: “If I’m not mistaken, you are the fire hero, right?”
Fire Hero: “Yeah, I just wanted to ask one thing, shouldn’t we exclude a piece of trash who hasn’t leveled up a single time in all this time?”
The fire hero looked at me with a sneer, hmm this guy has been stalking me since we came to this world.
As for what he said, I can honestly say he’s blind. The system can give you quests that award levels or points for doing things like 100 sit-ups and the like, but I’ve only done quests that award points and avoided the ones that award levels. The reason for this is because it’s more efficient this way.
Since stats are low, they can be easily raised with training, but the higher the stats, the harder they are to raise. If you level up from the beginning, you will have wasted the easiest levels to raise on stats that could have been easily raised with training. The other heroes, without taking this into account, leveled up from the beginning by doing missions to raise their stats more easily, but I preferred to raise my stats until it became difficult to raise them with training.
By doing this, I earned points to increase my potential, making it so that when I leveled up from the beginning I could reach a higher limit than the others. Basically, the heroes preferred to level up as quickly as possible without taking their base into account, while I preferred to train and consolidate my base as much as possible before leveling up.
The difference isn’t noticeable at first, but things will change over time. I don’t know if there’s a level cap, but if there were, for example, if it were level 100, the other heroes who only leveled up without training would only have 110 mana.
Of course, not counting potential. Once you reach 110 mana, it will be extremely difficult to raise that stat through training since it’s already quite high. However, since I was able to increase my mana more than fivefold with training, once I level up to the cap, my mana will be over 500.
So naturally, my upper limit is higher than theirs, although because we’re heroes, the level cap can be easily surpassed. Though I have a hard time understanding why the trainers didn’t advise us to do it that way? I’ll figure it out later.
Leaving this aside, the saint looked at me for a moment before looking back at the fire hero and said without any expression.
The saint: “He was warned, but he insisted on participating, taking into account the risks.”
The fire hero simply clicked his tongue and looked away with an annoyed expression and remained silent.
The saint looked at the others and spoke.
The saint: “We’ll give you 30 minutes to prepare before entering. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.”
I’d like to raise my hand to flirt with her, but I’m afraid doing so in this situation will only be a nuisance to her.
In those 30 minutes, I checked my equipment, skills, mana, etc. By the way, the day before, I stopped using “microscopic control” and spent the whole night recovering my mana. Thanks to my two months of training, I was able to almost quintuple my mana and other skills and related stats.
Anyway, 30 minutes passed and we entered the dungeon. The soldiers surrounded us to protect us. The interior of the dungeon was more like a dark and spacious cave, so we were all able to enter without feeling crowded.
We were able to see monsters that were like rabbits with horns, insects over a meter in size, wild boars, etc.
Since it is a class F dungeon the monsters are also weaker, after spending 5 hours fighting we take a 30 minute break.
Almost all the heroes here had dead eyes, perhaps because it was the first time they faced creatures that had killing intent, some were even sobbing a little, even my brother was quite depressed.
The saint who saw this seemed a little disappointed, I guess it’s not what she expected from the so-called heroes, although I barely participated, I also killed a few monsters, although it didn’t feel pleasant I didn’t feel much either.
Even though I knew I had a few screws loose, I just sat in a corner and ate a sandwich I had prepared in advance and drank some water.
When 20 minutes had passed, almost everyone had recovered enough to continue, the saint opened her mouth and said to us.
The Saint: “Everyone, we’ll continue in 10 minutes. There’s just one last stretch and the boss room. After that, we’ll return, and you’ll have a free weekend and several rewards.”
Hearing this, almost everyone became quite excited. Seeing this, I only thought about how clever the saint was.
She kept that reward information a secret and announced it when everyone was down to boost morale. If she had announced it from the beginning, even if their morale was high from the start in the beginning, it would eventually slowly fade. It seems like she knows how to handle people. I fall in love with her more and more.
Another 10 minutes passed, and everyone was preparing to leave, the saint saw all this and was about to speak when suddenly the suspicious magician who was with us stood up and stood in the middle of the group.
He began to shout, which attracted everyone’s attention. One of the knights approached and touched him on the shoulder to ask what was wrong, but before he could, the saint shouted at the knight.
The saint: “This is bad, kill him quickly is an order!!!”
The knight was stunned and before he could ask the wizard’s hood fell down because the wizard raised his head looking up.
What was shown left everyone scared, it was a face with what looked like worms crawling inside, the scared knight took out his sword but before he could use it suddenly the magician’s head exploded.
The explosion was not large but it took those who were near him by 3 meters, two unfortunate heroes and the knight ended up dead.
When the others realized what happened, most of the heroes started screaming and running towards the exit, the saint began to use magic as if she wanted to stop something, shortly after a magic circle shone under everyone’s feet, and everything went black, when the vision returned we were in a large room the size of a soccer field.
It probably holds more than 5,000 people, everything was empty, the heroes present were stunned, including those who had run away, they too could not escape the magic circle.
The only ones who kept their composure were the knights and the saint.
The saint: “Everyone gather as close as you can, knights surround the heroes and protect them with your lives!!!”
Gentlemen: “Yes!!!”
The heroes, although scared, obeyed the orders since they did not know what else to do. Among the heroes, there were some who seemed calmer and more determined than the rest. They helped the others move. My brother led the majority. I simply moved to the center without getting too upset.
Some of the heroes who seemed to know the two who died earlier finally understood and started crying, basically chaos.
A few minutes passed and suddenly countless magic circles appeared around us, countless monsters emerged from them, filling the entire area.
It seems things got pretty complicated.
