- Chapter 22 - Fall of The Student Council
Fall of The Student Council
When I went to school the next day, nobody seemed to know about the incident happened in the student council room yesterday, and the classroom was peaceful as usual.
During lunch break, I go to the teachers’ room with Hana and ask the student council advisor for our resignation from the student council. When Hana and I bow our heads, she lets out a deep sigh, she seems quite tired.
“Well… you guys did a great job and I’m sorry this happened to you.”
“Yes…”
“So what’s going to happen to the student council now?”
“At this rate, we’ll probably have to hold another election to elect a student council president again.”
“I guess so.”
“I’m sorry to bother you at a time like this, but can you come and meet me once after school ends today? I’ll call Kurusu as well.”
“Okay, got it.”
After school, when I go to the staff room again with Hana, Kurusu-senpai is already there and we have a meeting in the conference room with the advisor teacher. The vice principal is also present at the meeting.
This meeting’s is regarding:
-
-
-
- Setsuna and Yasui were expelled from school on the same day they found out about the incident.
-
-
The reason for the disciplinary action will be announced due to inappropriate behaviour on school.
-
-
-
- The student council will be disbanded and re-elected.
-
-
Kurusu senpai is asked to confirm her intention to continue the student council, but Kurusu-senpai also say that she wants to resign from the student council.
-
-
-
- The prohibition of using the student council room for private reasons in the future.
-
-
-
-
-
- This case is not allowed to be discussed in public.
-
-
-
-
-
- As for the three students present here, they will be considered as having been engaged in student council activities for a year.
-
-
It’s something to do with internal applications and such things like that.
-
-
-
- When the new student council president is elected, they will take over the student council.
-
-
As a side note, they are also going to do simultaneous surveys of the club rooms and other facilities for each club activity.
Since the incident took place in a private room that could not be seen from the outside, it seems that an investigation will be conducted to see if anything suspicious actions can take in similar private rooms.
The meeting took about 30 minutes. Then, Kurusu-senpai invited us to a coffee shop near the station.
“Setsuna-chan, you said you liked Mugi-kun so much, so why of all people would you be with Yasui-kun…?”
“Yuki-senpai, did you notice anything?”
“Not at all, I never noticed that she is having a relationship with Yasui-kun, but I thought that the student council had a lot of its after school meetings called off recently. Instead, I was wondering if she was dating Mugi-kun.”
“’Well… Setsuna and I didn’t meet each other on the days when the student council was called off…I messaged and asked her about it yesterday, but she didn’t reply, so I think she probably met Yasui-kun every time the after-school student council meetings were called off.”
“I see…”
“I think it was probably around the time Mugi and Ikeuchi-san’s case was over.”
“Eh? Did you notice something, Hana-chan?”
“I was talking with Mugi last night, and I remembered that Setsuna-san was acting strangely back then. I also noticed that Yasui-kun expression changed when we talked about Mugi’s and Setsuna-san’s dating ban lift.”
“In the end, I just remembered various things yesterday and thought so, at that time I didn’t notice anything and I didn’t suspect anything at all.”
“I see…You’re so stupid Setsuna, cheating on your boyfriend in the student council room…what do you think of Mugi-kun?”
“Well, I guess it’s just my fate…it’s my fate to be cheated on…”
““……””
Both of them fell silent at my self-deprecating words.
“Hana-chan, come to think of it, you told me before that it’s better to think twice before going out with Setsuna-san, did you already notice something back then?”
“Ahh, what is that called, it’s like a girl’s hunch? I had a hunch that things won’t go well with Mugi and Setsuna-san.”
“I see…if only I had listened to your advice back then, none of this would have happened…I’m sorry.”
“Mohh! It’s not Mugi’s fault! We are 100% the victims! Mugi is 300% the victim!”
“Yeah, we are. We should not blame ourselves for it, we haven’t done anything wrong.”
““Yes, understood.””
After we leave the restaurant, Kurusu-senpai turns around to us.
“Let’s hang out together again, the three of us sometimes.”
““Yeah, sure.””
Both me and Hana said so.
Then the three of us start to walk our way home.
