- Chapter 14 - Greeting
Greeting
In the morning, like yesterday, I leave home about 30 minutes early to meet up with Setsuna at the station before going to school with her.
Even though Kurusu-senpai gave her strict orders, Setsuna did not give in to the idea of coming to school together, saying that as long as we don’t flirt with each other and are moderate as a senior and a junior of the student council, there would be no problem, and more importantly, if I run into Kana-chan, there is no guarantee that some kind of trouble will not occur.
I tell Setsuna that I thought about it calmly yesterday and I have decided on what to do in the future. I would like to report this in detail to the student council when they are all present. I also tell Setsuna that I received a message from Kana last night, confirming that she will go to school in the morning.
“So you have made up your mind. We will all listen to it carefully later. Whatever your decision is, I will support you.”
Setsuna said.
Then when we arrive at school, Setsuna invites me to spend some time at the student council room, but I decline her invitation.
“It’s okay, I’ve cooled off a lot, I want to take a closer look at Kana and her friends in the classroom, so I’m staying quiet in the classroom for today.”
“Okay then, but let’s have lunch together with everyone later in the student council room.”
“Yes, thank you very much.”
I thanked her and we part ways.
When I arrive at the classroom, it is still quite early, so there are only a few people here.
I take my seat and wait for the time to pass, staring blankly out the window.
After a while, the classroom gradually begins to become lively.
As I gaze out in a daze further, someone unexpectedly greets me.
“Good morning.”
I turn toward the voice and see Kana standing there with her bag in her hands.
“Oh, good morning Kana-chan.”
I replied so dumbfoundedly.
“Hnn.”
She just replied so, goes to her seat and puts down her bag.
As I look at Kana-chan while stunned, Sugimura comes up to her again today, smiling and talking to her.
What’s going on?
It’s been a while since Kana greeted me.
This might be the first time since I entered high school.
On top of that, she greeted me in a classroom full of our classmates.
I didn’t even notice her when she walked into the classroom.
Normally, she would come into the classroom with a friendly smile on her face saying ‘Good morning~♪’ but it seems that she didn’t do that today, she just came directly to my seat.
In the past, I would have been pleased with this kind of behavior from Kana, but now I find it somewhat eerie.
I really don’t know what she’s thinking, I don’t understand her.
I think as I look outside the window again.
Kana is starting to like Sugimura and she doesn’t care about me who she treats as a sex friend. I already thought about this yesterday.
Up until lately, Kana had been coming to school with me in the morning and she doesn’t seem to care about being with me at all.
In fact, we didn’t talk at all when we walked to school together in the morning, and she was on her phone the whole time.
Besides, she used to come to my room often until middle school, but lately she only comes to my room whenever we have sex.
So, I figured that I’m just her convenient sex friend and that she isn’t interested in me anymore.
If so, what was that greeting earlier?
Is she getting restless because I’m starting to distance myself?
She doesn’t want to let go of her convenient sex friend?
In any case, do I need to talk with Kana alone?
Besides, we should break up properly.
Even if she now says that she doesn’t think anything of Sugimura, I don’t think I can easily pretend that all the damage she has done so far never happened.
