Then, during the demon raid incident, he defeated a demon and was awarded the title of High Knight, after which he was transferred to the Royal Guard. 

 After that, together with Irene, he defeated a demonized human lurking within the royal castle and was elevated to the rank of viscount. 

His ultimate goal is to become a Crown Knight.

Though his magical power is low, he can use all types of basic magic, giving him great versatility.
After beginning training to cloak himself in aura, his strength increased dramatically.

・Personality: He was serious, kind, and bad at lying.
That kindness led him to spoil his childhood friend too much… and she eventually left him.
On top of that, he unintentionally nurtured the feelings of the women around him, taking on responsibilities he couldn’t escape from—pulling them all into the same swamp.

Now, he has resolved himself to accept the feelings of multiple women… and he himself is already deep in that swamp.

【Character Introduction : Rina Carhoi ②】

・The protagonist’s childhood friend, and the first woman he loved.

・Appearance: Long blonde hair, sharp eyes that give a strong-willed impression, small and slender.

・Background: Hort’s childhood friend.
When she was young, she was shy and lacked confidence in herself.
After discovering her talent for magic, she studied hard to become someone worthy of standing beside Hort.

However, her stubborn and prideful personality—combined with the recognition she received from others—made her gradually forget her gratitude toward him.
Believing Hort would always forgive her no matter what, she began treating him coldly.

But in the end, she wasn’t chosen… and the distance between them only grew.

By the time she realized what she had lost, she had already made a contract with a demon and become aware of her own immaturity.
There was no turning back.

・Occupation: Court mage / Priestess of the demon cult
During her academy days, she ranked at the top of her class and specialized in spirit summoning.
Now, after making a contract with a demon, she serves as a priestess who summons demons.

・Personality: Deep down, she was shy and awkward with people.
On the surface, she acted strong-willed, stubborn, and hated losing.
But now, she couldn’t be honest with Hort—she treated him coldly, then sank into self-loathing afterward. A classic tsundere.

・Combat Style: Primarily uses magic, borrowing power from the demon inside her (Asmo).
She was aware of her possession, and as the investigation into demons progressed, she became increasingly cornered.
She also had deep ties with the man in black and the remnants of the demon cult.

 Even now, she remains the most deeply trapped in Hort’s swamp—a hopelessly tangled girl.

【Character Introduction : Commander Adelheid von Graetz ③】

・First heroine

・Appearance: Red semi-long hair. A serious beauty with a strong-willed look. Muscular build with a large chest.

・Background: The biological daughter of Marshal Graetz and a genius swordswoman.
However, her beauty and talent made her a target of jealousy from both men and women in the military.
She was constantly burdened with unreasonable work under the excuse of, “If you’re the Marshal’s daughter, you should be able to handle this, right?”

Because of her personality, she couldn’t refuse, and ended up creating a hellish commander’s office—until Hort helped her.

She fell into a dependency-type swamp.

・Occupation: Commander of the Second Knight Order.

・Personality: A woman who embodied strength and responsibility.
Normally, she was like an iron wall in armor.
But one night, when she fell ill, Hort took care of her—and she showed her weakness.
That moment became fatal to her, and her attachment ran deep.

・Combat Style: A genius with the sword.
A god-speed blade that, wrapped in aura, could even cut down demons.

・Current: For Hort, she is the one who requires the most “fear” and “resolve.”
Even though they haven’t truly acted as lovers, Gina described her as someone who might “take him down with her if he doesn’t choose her.”

【Character Introduction : Nagi ④】

・Second heroine

・Appearance: Black bob-cut hair tied into two bunches, with small horns.
Petite but well-trained, with a nicely balanced figure.

・Background: Born and raised on Onigashima in a warrior family.
There, those born into such families must set out on a training journey at fifteen to become adults.

After that, she worked as an adventurer, and through Hort’s kindness, she grew into an adult.

・Current: She confessed to Hort and succeeded.

・Third heroine

・Appearance: Long black hair, a refined beauty with an excellent figure.
Her expression is usually blank.

・Combat Style: Skilled in poison and assassination, but not suited for direct combat.

・Current: In order to be chosen by Hort, she guided his other women and helped build his harem.

She began to worship him as a god, and after confronting her trauma related to her father, that devotion turned into love.

・Occupation: Sister. Works at the orphanage in the slums and a temporary clinic.

・Personality: Gentle and devoted, but her love is heavy.
She calls Hort “Lord” and places him at the center of her prayers.
Her kindness binds him—her devotion borders on blind worship.

At the same time, she is also a strategist. In the Gemini situation, she suggested, “Not a group date—have them meet through church volunteer work,” and works on shaping public perception among the people.

・Background: As a child, she was often ill and unable to fight in a kingdom where strength was valued.
She also couldn’t marry. Carrying those anxieties, Luminaria devoted herself to diplomacy, aiming to improve the country, and began working from a young age.

Then, when she was attacked by monsters like goblins and orcs, Hort saved her.
He left without asking for anything in return—and that image overlapped with her ideal knight.

From that moment, she decided to raise this man who matched her tastes.

・Occupation: Fourth Princess. Diplomat of the Valshrein Kingdom.

・Personality: A strategist who keeps Hort close as her Royal Guard and moves him like a piece on the political board.
Outwardly calm, but in reality cold and calculating.
She ordered Hort to build connections within the court mages (the Second Prince’s domain), using Irene as a foothold.

・Current: She understands that Hort’s achievements—defeating demons, gaining titles—are powerful political tools.
She is steadily advancing toward becoming the ruler.

【Character Introduction : Irene Hadius ⑨】

・Sixth heroine (Hort’s classmate)

・Appearance: Brown, curled hair.
An elegant and refined beauty, perfectly balanced as a noble lady.

・Background: Born as the third daughter of a count’s family, she excelled in both magic and academics.
However, while aiming to become a court mage at the academy, she was overtaken by Rina Carhoi for the top position.

Still, Irene believed she lost because Rina had Hort by her side.

After interacting with Hort during their school days, she became a fan of his kindness and attentiveness.

A “fangirl devotion” type of swamp.

・Occupation: Count’s daughter. Court mage. Specialist in elemental magic.

・Personality: An extremely calm and composed noble lady.
However, since her academy days, Hort has been her “favorite.”
Outwardly elegant, but internally a full-fledged fangirl.

She even sent him a letter with her bra size written in it, showing how boldly she closes the distance.

While maintaining her refined demeanor, she pushes forward confidently—the type to declare, “Please be aware of me.”

She is also a realist, setting conditions in exchange for cooperating with Hort.

In terms of magic, she taught him “reflection” as a counter to gravity, strengthening his fighting style through logic.

・Combat Style: A magic expert who can use both elemental and spirit magic.

・Current: She has confessed to Hort and is waiting for his answer.
While cooperating with Gina to help make Hort a Crown Knight, she is also working to raise his reputation among the nobility through strategic promotion.
