Mea-san, That Bombshell Announcement Is! (Part 5)
“────────!!!!!!!!!!”
“Hee?”
She- Renjiyou Kobato-san, looked as if she had been struck by lightning.
“Wh-What happened to you?”
“Fumu~, you’re turning bright red, but…”
Sumitarou and Fuuga also noticed the sudden change in her look. But to begin with, she interjected in such a way.
However, Renjiyou-san did not respond to them at all, but continued to stare at me with her large eyes opened even wider…
“N-Nonomiya… Kuuya-kun…”
Was what she said in a small, mosquito-like voice.
“Ahh, yeah…”
“I’m Renjiyou, Kobato…”
“…Nice to meet you.”
“~~~”
She turned her face away and went straight to hiding behind Mea-san.
…What does this mean? From the way she hugged Mea-san, I thought she would be cheerful and carefree…
“……….”
“Uhh, Mea-san?”
And that’s when I noticed.
Mea-san was hiding behind me in the middle of the street. I don’t know why, but she looked like she was in a bad mood with her beautiful eyebrows raised.
“Wh-what did you do, Kuuya?”
“E-even if you ask me… I don’t know…”
I hurriedly whispered back to Sumisutaro, who had been listening in.
Because I was just greeting her normally! I didn’t even strike any pretentious pose!
And yet, in addition to Renjiyou-san, Mea-san’s condition is also strange… What is happening?
“Fu-Fuuga, do you know what’s happening?”
I asked Fuuga, who was watching what was going on with her hands on her waist.
Fuuga then brushed off her bangs and shrugged her shoulders.
“I’d say that’s a bit of a wild goose chase.”
DAMN!… Such a cool line, SUPER COOL! I want to say it too…!
“Anyway, the entrance ceremony is about to start, so we’d better get moving, right?”
“Oh, yeah, that’s true… Then you too, Mea-san and Renjiyou-san, let’s get going…”
“…..Ehh, okay.”
“So early……!”
One was muffled, the other jumpy. The reactions of the two were contrasting.
The entrance ceremony itself proceeded and ended normally, without any unusual events.
When I turned around, my mom was waving and laughing (along with Fuuga and Sumitarou’s parents), and also, I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t relax.
And… apparently, Mea-san’s father had not come.
Instead, there was a stunningly beautiful woman in a kimono who looked just like her, or rather, just like the kind of person Mea-san would look like when she grows up, watching the ceremony with narrowed eyes.
Maybe that’s Mea-san’s mother. I’ll have to say hello to her later…
After the ceremony, we parted ways with the parents again, and the new students went to their classrooms.
There was a lot of buzz in the class until the homeroom teacher arrived.
Inside the classroom, there were faces that I knew from elementary school and faces that I had never seen before.
The one thing they all had in common was that they were all looking at me and Mea-san at the same time.
…Or rather, looking at all of us in the first place? If you form a group from the entrance stage regardless of the school you are from, you will get a lot of attention.
On top of that, the two people who are the center of attention have too much presence.
On the one hand, of course, there was Mea-san. It’s not uncommon to find a legitimate beautiful girl with a face this well-defined, so it was only natural that she caught attention.
And on the other hand – surprisingly to me – it was Fuuga.
But that’s probably not surprising when you think about it. She is the tallest girl in the class, and her demeanor is that of a gender-neutral prince.
While Mea-san was mainly fussed over by the boys, Fuuga was unusually fussed over by the girls.
I’m used to the sight of Fuuga and hardly think of her as a girl, but Fuuga is just as good-looking as Mea-san. That just causes a lot of fuss in the class. She looks very elegant, though that’s mainly how it is for girls.
And speaking of girls, there’s another one…
“Ahh… Ehehehhe~”
And Renjiyou-san was still hiding behind Meia-san…
So yeah, that’s it.
“Okay then, everyone, please take your seats.”
The teacher came in, and suddenly we all dispersed and sat down in the order of our attendance numbers.
Our homeroom teacher is a young and cute woman with her hair neatly tied in a bun.
I always had old men or old ladies as teachers in elementary school, so this alone made me excited to be in a new environment.
“Yes, then everyone, congratulations on your enrollment. I am your homeroom teacher, Nakanushi Ito. Please call me Ito-sensei, it’s nice to meet you all.”
Everyone’s voices overlapped, “Yes Ma’am!” This place is still very much like an elementary school, but…
I’m sure it will gradually change over time. Becoming just like how a junior high school student should behave.
So let’s get started and have everyone introduce themselves. Seating order… in order of attendance number.”
Ito-sensei took up the chalk and wrote in large letters on the blackboard, “Self Introduction.”
“The attendance numbers are in the order of birthdays. I heard that most schools go with birthdays in Chiba… Right, so everyone, please announce your birthdays together. It’s kind of cool to know your classmates’ birthdays, isn’t it? Fufuu~”
Rather, don’t other prefectures and cities follow the order of birthdays? The class was buzzing with excitement. So, apparently there are no students who have crossed the border or transferred here.
“So the very first one is…”
“I guess it’s me.”
With that, Fuuga stood up.
That’s right, Fuga was born in April, I believe.
“I’m Mayuzumi Fuuga from Chiyodai East Elementary School. I don’t have to tell you all that I’m obviously a girl… because I look like this, and also because I’m wearing a girl’s uniform. My birthday is April 10th, and it’s coming up soon. I look forward to working with you all.”
And so, with Fuuga in the lead, the self-introductions began.
“I’m Renjiyou Kobato. Uhmmm, I’m from Chiyodai West Elementary School, and my specialty is cooking! My birthday is on the thirtieth of July!”
I see, she was born in the summer. I know what you mean…
“Nonomiya kuuya, from Chiyodai East Elementary School. Born on September 14th. Nice to meet you all.”
I was born in mid autumn. And Sumisutarou, who was born in winter──
“SUP!!! It’s your man, Sumitarou Tochioda! Born on December 21st, and I do judo! I’m waiting for your fan letters, girls!”
…With that, he started right from the start, earning the giggles of the girls in the class.
And, surprisingly, the last one…
“…I am Chitose Mea.”
When she stood up and said her name, the whole class was immediately on the edge of excitement.
When Fuga was there, a few people from both sexes were buzzing, but it was even more than that now. In other words, that’s how outstandingly beautiful Mea-san is…
“I’m from Chiyodai West Elementary School. My birthday is March 1st.”
…I didn’t know that… Mea-san was born so early in the year.
“And the rest is a secret.”
And Mea-san was still Mea-san after the entrance ceremony.
I couldn’t help but squirm in my seat…
“That’s what I would have said but…”
It didn’t end there.
Mea-san puffed out her chest like she was proud of winning.
“I’ll add to that. I’m currently living together with Nonomiya Kuuya over there.”
“──── Eh?”
Wait, wait a minute?
What are you talking about, Mea-san? I thought we were going to keep that part of the story under wraps…
I was foaming from the mouth, and Mea-san’s face became even more serious.
“He’s my husband!”
She said firmly and proudly.
──There was a moment of silence.
After a moment of silence, the whole class (including the teacher) erupted.
In the midst of it all, I was in a panic.
(Mea-sann… It’s no longer a secret or anything now────────!!!?)
