Chapter 1: Awakening

I used to be an ordinary high school student.

I went to school as a matter of course and received an education that didn’t seem to stick to me. But even though it didn’t stick, I didn’t let my grades slip.

I studied hard enough to get good grades.

I was a bit of an Akihabara-type, but I didn’t talk about it openly, even as a topic of conversation.

I didn’t particularly like or dislike anyone, and I treated everyone the same.  Thanks to that, I had many friends, both male and female.

But I didn’t have any particular future dream or anything. There were a lot of fun and interesting things, and I had experienced a lot of them throughout my life. But I didn’t know what I wanted to be in the future. I thought that if I just got a stable job as a civil servant and lived a stable life, I could repay my parents’ kindness.

So what was wrong with that…? But before I knew it,

“Waaah! Waaah!”

“Mother! It’s a boy! It’s a healthy baby boy!”

(T/N: Not literal mother of the speaker, just referring to the mother of the boy.)

I had turned into a baby.

I couldn’t make sense of it.

I definitely went to bed in my own bed at home. 

That day, I had a part-time job at a convenience store, and since the night shift person was late, I had to work overtime as I waited for him. 

The night shift person was over an hour late, and so by the time I got home, it was already past midnight. I was so tired that I just fell into bed.

I remembered everything clearly to that point, Yet,

“Please hold your son!! I’m so happy that I was able to hold a baby boy!”

The nurse, who was excitedly holding me, handed me over to another woman. And I was held by someone who seemed like my mother.

“Oh, my!!! He’s so cute!! Let’s be happy together, Yuuto!”

I didn’t know what to do. But considering this situation, I probably had no choice but to live as this woman’s son now.

Life is truly unpredictable.

Well, as long as I have fun, that’s all that matters.

But when I thought about it, as a baby, I would have to have my diaper changed and drink milk directly from my Mother’s breasts.

I don’t want to play the baby role, to be honest.

But for now,

“Waaah!” (I’m looking forward to being with you from now on… Mom)

I needed to greet my mother. Afterall, she was quite the beauty. She probably didn’t even understand what I said though.

From now on, I would most likely cause her a lot of trouble. This was something that I should atleast do.

“Yuuto smiled!”

…I wondered if my previous parents had been this happy when I was born.

It made me regret not being able to repay their kindness.

So I decided to repay my current mother’s kindness instead. But that would probably be a long time from now.

“I’ve decided! I’m going to marry Yuuto!”

…You’re rushing things, Mom.

I felt a little anxious about the future, even though I had just been born.
