Let me be a mob! - Chapter 86- Dad~3?
“…what?” It wasn’t that Jin didn’t hear the girl who called herself his daughter, but Jin’s query emerges from the fact that he wasn’t able to believe the girl at all.
Because of him…in the future, Dia dies?
The blond girl remained still for a good half minute, studying her father’s expression which clearly told how anxious he was.
A sigh of concern leaked from her lips before she spoke up, “As you heard, Father. Your power went berserk in the last battle of our life and someone stepped up to guard everyone from you, losing her life in the process as well. ”
“But how is such a thing possible? In the first place, isn’t Aiden the one with limitless growth and blessed with all five attributes? Why was I the one fighting the final boss? ”
Jin’s frustration was evident in his voice since if the girl was speaking the truth, the future Jin has done the most foolish thing by losing control of his own goddamn powers. And as he said, Jin has no clue how he could ever be able to fight such a being who was on the rank of a Demi-God.
The demon lord in this world would be aiming to become an immortal being but before that, the protagonist intervenes and brings an end to this long-lasting battle once and for all.
To gain immortality, the Demon Lord would have to sacrifice three million lives. And considering what kind of terrifying being the Monarch of Darkness would be after resurrecting, it would have been no problem for the being to kill everyone or anyone on the plain.
However, in the novel Aiden by that time had already attained mastery over all the five attributes which when combined, could create a Ten Circle ritual, which absorbs the energy from heaven directly and purge any and every kind of evilness.
However, no one other than the one who has been blessed by the supreme Goddess could perform such a feat and Aiden was the only entity with the blessing.
Then how…
‘Ah…’ Suddenly, a hidden box at the corner of Jin’s mind grew visible as he realized what kind of possibility he was neglecting until now.
“I think you got it, Father. It’s true that by performing the Ten Spiral ritual, Uncle Aiden would temporarily become a demi-god being, however, there’s another way to attain that level, and not just for a short period either. ”
“Ruler of the Spirits… ”
A simple term yet it beholds such strength that upon attaining it might become a problem for the higher beings watching the plains from the heaven to keep control of. A spirit ruler isn’t just a power level but rather an ascension.
From being a human, Jin could become a Spirit himself if he attains the role of Spirit Lord. He would be a sentinel being who no longer would require any medium or shell to rely on. Until there’s an element of Air, water, flame, wind, space, or time, Jin would be able to survive.
In short, Jin would never die unless the concept of the world and living doesn’t collapse, however even if for that, the heavenly beings have to end themselves as well since Time was the sole factor that binds every single being.
Jin remained silent for a great amount of time. He had a lot to contemplate.
It was true that Jin knew the route to becoming the Lord of the Spirits but from his point of view, reaching such a level was purely impossible until he had god shit luck and support along with him.
And if the girl really was telling the truth, then why was Jin facing the Demon Lord but not Aiden? Did he interfere too much in the plot which stagnant Aiden’s progression? Then why was Dia who jumped in to save others? How the future Jin was stopped by Dia?
‘A lot to think about and prepare a plan according to which I need to work from here on… ‘
Jin might not realize but he was visibly shaken up at the moment. After transmigrating into this world, this was the first time he was feeling this much apprehension.
Amidst his internal conflicts, a soothing warmth made its way toward Jin’s hand before the said person refocused his gaze on the blond girl who had eyes almost identical to his.
With a serene smile spreading on her lips, the girl spoke in a soft tone, “It’s the first time I am seeing you this nervous, Father and I am glad I was able to see this sight since your future self has been always like the person who likes to hide his worries behind a smile and doesn’t allow anyone to get worried for his sake. I think you can relate right?” The way she slightly tilted her head with a mischievous grin replacing the smile, made Jin’s shoulders drop as well.
He was relieved that his future self had the conscience to not make his family worried but at the moment, he felt slightly awkward to show such an unsightly sight to his possible daughter.
“Saying that you are relieved to see me stressed…aren’t you rude to your elders?”Jin retorted but there wasn’t a hint of complaint in his voice at all.
The blond girl chuckled at that and it wasn’t long before a smile stretched Jin’s lips as well.
Seeing her laughing like this, Jin couldn’t help but mutter, “You really are Dia’s daughter. I mean, there are so many similarities that I could have called you her identical twin…if only I hadn’t had any knowledge about this world.”
“Well I am thankful for my mom to give me such charming looks and thanks to you, no one dares to make a move on me.” Flexing her dagger in her free hand, the girl grinned.
Jin shook his head with a smile never leaving his face but soon his expression hardened slightly since he knew he had to ask for what the girl had traveled back in time.
But before he could have said anything, a familiar voice made both of them freeze at their spot.
“Jin?”
It was Dia.
