Let me be a mob! - Chapter 64- Fishy?
[Aiden’s POV:]
‘Woah…these seniors are so… ‘I was truly amazed by the sight of the two ladies practically toying with C-rank beasts.
Initially, I thought they were all words but no action since their haughty personality ticked me off but considering their roles in the academy and how they must have gained such positions surely would have brought some arrogance along as well. And they possess the strength to back their pride.
An arachnid of C-rank is something that I need some time to defeat considering how I am still at the threshold of the same rank and since this is nighttime, it would have taken extra effort in defeating it.
But for these two, one of them used her illusion to lure the monster into a corner, and the other one electrified the whole being to death. The precision of control the Treasurer had over her powers allowed the meat to not get burnt.
The teamwork of the two signified how long they must have been working together to engage in battle without even affirming verbally, both women charged like true assassins.
I am simply…awestruck.
“Look at that, Maegen~Our junior can’t hide his excitement.”
The teasing voice of the blond Treasurer reached up to me before I finally called myself out of my daze. The purple-headed adviser also was grinning in my direction with a knowing look.
I generally don’t get like this but some minor slip-ups in front of two talented seniors are not something I could consciously help about.
“Can you blame me senior? I mean you both look so cool together that no one would be able to resist gawking at you both.”
I scratched the back of my head as I let out my honest thoughts, but for some reason, both of them became stiff on their spots and maybe it could be just my imagination but I saw their ear tips turning red.
Wait!
Are they angry?

[Jin’s POV:]
It has been some time since I and Rena have been collecting dry wood near the camp silently. After the bespectacled psycho commanded us, he disappeared without a word.
There were, fortunately, not many creatures around which helped me keep my senses elaborate for the real danger yet to come.
I might be overthinking but being doubtful rather than unprepared is acceptable since the latter would cost my life.
It almost slipped up my mind about this small arc centered around Amanda and her crazed possessive one-sided lover. It was when I began to feel eyes on me, more so when I was around Amanda, then I remembered about this upcoming shit.
“I never asked, Jin, but how come you know about that creepy bastard’s tendency?”
Rena asked as she sliced the wooden log masterfully with her dagger and bisected it in six equal blocks. Truly pleasing to the eyes.
“Instincts and insiders. I have been feeling for a while that I have been followed and some of the informers I have in the academy also informed about to be wary of the council.”
“And you fucked up that warning by gaining the favor of the President.”
Dryly chuckling, I used my short saber to slice the wood and place them in the basket without intending to reply to her. Rena knew I was keeping things from her and the other two but the fact they still chose to support me, was in a way surprising and somewhat not as well.
Considering the personalities of the main cast, it was given that they would help someone in need but I have not been friends with them for too long which could bring their trust in me and convince them to go against the council.
Indeed…this life has been showing me a new face of humanity.
Something…I always sought in my previous world.
“HEELLLLLPPPPP!!”
“!!!”
The log from my hand dropped to the ground as I sprang to my feet and turned to look in the direction of the scream. It was a familiar voice belonging to the only friendly elf I know.
“It’s Silvie!”
“Rena, wait!”
Despite my cry, the hot head leaped into action as she began marching at a high pace toward the source of the scream. Since the direction was the same as where our camp was located, I also got a little concerned before I began to follow Rena while using my Observation skill to the fullest.
Connecting to the magical realm, I could sense every being which possesses mana through my observation and detect their location without visually verifying it. The process works as SONAR rays where the signal hits any surface and reverts to me, providing the exact location of the said object.
Initially, I needed to be in a meditative position to use the skill but now I can use it while working or fighting.
‘Nothing around us… ‘The conclusion was in favor since if this is a trap I need to be aware of any unexpected assault.
Grabbing the branch with my left hand I swung my body forward before landing my feet just beside Rena who also halted in her step since from the illumination nearby, it seemed we had reached.
“Hey, Jin…how come they lighted the campfire when all the logs are yet to be delivered?”
Something trivial to question about but in this situation it might become a reason for concern.
“Why don’t we find out?”
I held my saber in a reverse grip, aligned with the back of my forearm as I walked with silent steps toward the source of illumination.
Rena followed suit and held her daggers on guard while following me with quiet movements as well.
The sound of burning timber neared as we finally walked out of the bushes…only to find Amanda and Silvie sitting across while chatting. Sensing us, they brought a hold to their chit-chat before directing their gazes in our direction.
“Oh god, Silvie. What was that scream for!?”
Rena walked up to the half-elf with the complaint and an exasperated sigh leaking as she sheathed her weapon before approaching the girl who was smiling timidly before she replied.
“Ah…that…President was threatening me with a spider.”
“I was just trying to get her used to them.”
Amanda nonchalantly replied, much like her character, and the shy smile Silvie portrayed was much like her as well. But somehow…this feels…
More so the suspicion rose when the spirits around me were acting weirdly in Amanda’s presence since the start, like something was repulsing them.
To ascertain my doubt I took my sheathed saber before throwing it toward Amada.
“Amanda, catch!”
“Waoh, easy there.” As expected of a highly trained warrior, she just caught it easily with her right hand…
…except for the fact that she was left-handed.

A/N: – Drop a comment.
I tried this reflexive reaction sequence and threw something at my left-handed friend.
He raised his left hand but…
