Let me be a mob! - Chapter 27- Class Rep!
After Lisa left, Jin returned to practicing his Spirituality alone in the room with his mind currently occupied with nothing but the thoughts of the tiny things revolving around him.
Thankfully, Lisa gave him an affirmation that she would provide a recommendation letter with which Jin could get a job at the school cafeteria and could work as a part-timer to gain points. He has to keep his identity secret from other students since it would be a hassle for the students to know this partial treatment toward Jin.
The letter would arrive a week from now on, so Jin had remaining six days to give most of his time to his mediation since after he began his job, his six hours would be forged in work.
He didn’t want to stray away from his training but gaining points without waking in the limelight was something that brought the need for this job, therefore he was left with no other options.
‘Hmmm…? ‘
In between his concentration, Jin felt someone or maybe two people roaming around his door. But since he was not the only one living on this floor, Jin was sure they were not here for him.
However, the matter of concern rises from the fact that one of them was Aiden since his bulking mana which he barely is able to suppress is quite unique to not get sensed by Jin, who currently had his perception enhanced.
Jin’s eyes snapped when he heard the elven girl Silvie’s words regarding meeting Jin for some reason. She was telling this to Aiden but Jin was able to clearly hear it which made him baffled and anxious at the same time.
‘Is it because she can see them…. ‘
Looking around the room which was clustered with white and blue small fireflies-like creatures, Jin thought that it must be the spirits that would have brought Silvie’s attention toward him.
Unlike Jin who got his special eyes capable of seeing spirits through ritual, Silvie was born with those special eyes which could sense and clearly picture out spirits when they appear on their willingness.
For someone other than elves to have spirits looming around must have raised her suspicion since only elves in today’s generation can make contracts with spirits. For a human to accomplish such a deed, was close to nigh impossible.
**Knock*Knock**
Jin grumbled and closed his eyes since he had no motive to befriend the two main characters. He chose to ignore the knocks wince it was pretty much late already and Jin could pretend that he was asleep if they ask him tomorrow.
It was given that if not today then tomorrow or any other day, the elven princess would have known about Jin’s ability to communicate with spirits but that doesn’t mean Jin had any plan to get near that problem magnet named Silvie.
She was a bastard child of a royal family who was born in this world from the union of two different races, awarding Silvie a lifelong exile from the Elven kingdom and taking refuge in the human domain.
Only Jin knows what kind of tides would rise when Silvie would show her potential in healing and make those people who abhor her, ashamed of themselves. It would be a time of revolution in which Jin had no interest to take part.
“I guess he’s asleep, Miss Silvie. I suggest you ask him tomorrow.”
Thankfully after knocking once more on his door, Aiden suggested retreating which Silvie accepted since she was unsure whether she should be disturbing Jin from the start.
And knowing Silvie’s nature, Jin was sure that the small elf would never try to strike up a conversation in broad daylight among a whole crowd of students, so he was safe.
‘But for how long tho… ”
Feeling tired after a long day which weighed him down more mentally, Jin decided to call it a day and sleep on the luxury bed.
****
The next day, Jin woke up early, like usual, and after having a workout session for three hours straight, he took a long bath and changed his clothes into the newly arrived uniform.
Unlike yesterday when everyone came in any clothing they had, from today onwards, everyone was directed to wear their respective uniforms and have an extra of every attire.
There were two different uniforms other than the standard one. One was for martial arts and the second was more casual which was made for adventuring stuff.
The school uniform consisted of, a pair of grey trousers, a white shirt, and a grey blazer which had the school emblem stitched on the right side pocket. There was a black tie as well, which Jin found a bother but tied anyway.
Combing his long hair in a ponytail Jin gave a mental nod for looking handsome as ever before he walked out of the dorm and made his way toward the class in a fresh mood.
Thankfully, no more episodes happened and he was able to reach the classroom without getting interrupted by students or any teacher. Even in the classroom, thankfully Aiden was occupied conversing with Rena to pay attention to him, and even Silvie glanced at Jin, she was too nervous to approach him.
But all his happiness was crushed as soon as he saw his homeroom teacher entering the class with a white square box in her hand making Jin remember that it was already the day when it happens.
“Today, I will choose the class representative. ”
Naturally, if anyone in the class would have become the representative, then Jin would have had no worries about keeping his place and letting people fight amongst themselves to be the leader of the class.
But…
“Since every year only the top five get the chance to draw participation, I would like the five of you to stand beside me. ”
As she gestured toward the first five desks, Aiden along with Silvie, Rena, and Fiona slowly stood from their seats, still slightly unsure and nervous. Only Fiona looked confident and up for the work.
However, Jin was so worked up by this sudden realization that he remained seated for a longer time, only for Lisa to call him out.
“Student Jin, are you practicing some skill to sleep with your eyes open, or are you blatantly ignoring your teacher? ”
Jin groaned and fought the urge to glare at the teacher before he walked up to the stage and stood while facing the class.
This was the exact thing that he wanted to avoid.
“Now that group leaders are here, let’s start choosing the team, shall we? ”
