Let me be a mob! - Chapter 127- You have changed
It took some time but Fiona woke up from her slumber. It was a bit surprising given that she nearly died four hours ago and now her eyes were slightly ajar and she was conversing with the healer.
It was all thanks to Jin’s timely decision to use the Time Spirits to restore her health. However, she still needed some rest and healing to completely recover.
Once the healers and Silvie ensured that Fiona wouldn’t suffer from any life-long trauma, they emptied the place around the patient to let her friends meet her.
The healers left except for Silvie. Rena, Elena, Lisa, and Aiden remained outside since they didn’t want to overcrowd the room.
“I have assessed her body thrice and couldn’t find anything wrong…but still for safety purposes, Miss Fiona needs to stay in bed for tonight. And please don’t let her consume anything cold.” Hearing Silvie’s suggestion, Jin nodded.
He thanked Silvie who soon took her leave.
Jin’s gaze fell on Dia who was chatting with Fiona. Although Dia had tears in her eyes, the smile on her face was evident enough to display her current emotions.
Fiona’s eyes diverted from her friend and set them on Jin.
She extended her hand in Jin’s direction which he took after he stepped forward.
“How are you feeling now?” Holding her hand tenderly in his hold, Jin sat down on the chair beside Dia.
Fiona brought his hand to her face and softly rubbed her cheek against his warm hand.
Jin smiled fondly at his lover and allowed her to be reassured of his presence. The look of bliss on her face melted Jin and Dia’s hearts.
“It’s been so long…….I missed you.” Fiona spoke in a very thin but audible voice.
“Not more than me, tho. I couldn’t stop thinking about you even for a moment.” Jin’s response extended her smile.
Taking the cue, Dia was about to get up and leave, when suddenly her hand was held by Jin—preventing her from getting up.
“I missed you too, Dia.”
Dia’s expression shifted dramatically as she sat back down and was unable to respond immediately.
Fiona smiled at her friend’s helpless state.
Jin slightly tilted his face, with his silver bangs falling like a curtain—making her heart skip a beat.
“You didn’t miss me, Dia?”
“Eh…ah…I-I did…” Near the end, her voice was only audible to herself.
Jin chuckled at the display as Fiona playfully chided him, “Don’t tease her like this. When you weren’t around she was like a lost soul. She even started drawing your paint-”
“Fiona! Don’t tell him that.”
Jin raised his brows hearing that and completely ignored Dia’s embarrassment before asking, “You actually drew me?”
Dia whined; clearly not prepared to have this conversation now. But the cat was already out of the bag.
With her cheeks dusted with a crimson hue, she hesitantly nodded and informed him, “I-I tried…but it didn’t come out as I expected.”
“Doesn’t matter. I wanna see them when we return…” Near the end, Jin’s voice became a little lost which got noticed by the other two.
Fiona’s expression hardened as she asked, “We are going back, right Jin?”
More than expectations she hoped his answer to be ‘yes’.
However, Jin couldn’t lie to her. Although her health has not recovered completely, prolonging to disclose the inevitable was pointless.
With a sigh, he held Fiona and Dia’s hands, and confessed, “Alzeith is someone important to me, Fiona. I know I have never told you this before but even before meeting you, I had a past with Alzeith. And for her, I need to stay here for a little longer.”
Fiona had heard about this before however she still couldn’t believe it, “How did you two meet? She is a demon and you are a human….more so, the difference between your ages must be quite wide.”
Demons live for hundreds of years and given the Succubus Queen was at the peak of her life, she must have lived through several years to reach this point. And Jin was merely seventeen years old.
Not to talk about the fact that under no circumstances Demons and Humans are allowed to meet such casually to fall in love.
“We know that you won’t lie to us, Jin…but without any explanation, it’s hard to trust your words,” Dia added.
True to her words, it must be excessively nonsensical to believe what he is saying here.
Jin remained silent for a moment before he asked them both, “Can you give me some time? Just once I finish with this war upcoming, I will tell you everything about me and Alzeith. About my past life and everything related to me. Just give me some time, please.”
Initially, when Jin came to this world, he thought he would never reveal his identity as a reincarnator to anyone—despite how close they get.
However now, he was not so inclined to hide the truth. And from what he has heard from his ‘daughter’ Jin, at some points, tells his family about himself.
Dia and Fiona shared a glance before they nodded at the same time.
“We will wait for you.”

Jin took his leave temporarily from the group since he had something to talk to Alzeith.
Aiden, Rena, and Elena were guarding the room where Fiona was, even though Jin assured them that nothing would happen. However, the long rivalry between Demons and Humans didn’t allow them to lower their guards.
Well, he couldn’t blame them.
Jin was heading towards the court of the palace to ask someone for Alzeith’s whereabouts—when suddenly someone pulled Jin behind one of the large pillars of the gallery.
“Quite a way you have to ask for some alone time with me.”
“I didn’t have any other way, given the number of bugs you were surrounded with.”
Hearing Alzeith’s response made him raise his brows.
“You shouldn’t call them that, Alzeith. They are my friends and companions.”
“Hmm? Then what about those two with whom you were getting cozy earlier?”
Jin was taken aback by that as he asked, “You were spying on us?”
Alzeith smirked, “This whole palace reports everything to me. Even the walls are no exception to it.”
Jin sighed, “Quite filmy you have become.”
“….that doesn’t answer my question. Tell me Jin, why were you with them?”
Alzeith clenched her fist and agitation became evident in her voice as she continued, “I wanted nothing more than to vaporize those two bitc-”
“Aya.” His heavy voice made her instantly shut up. The look in his eyes reminded her of a memory she never wanted to think about.
Jin couldn’t allow Alzeith to take any step against his friends and lovers—especially when he would be performing the Blood Ritual.
That’s why it is important for him to let her know how important they are to him,
“Aya…if you do anything to them, then I won’t do anything with you…rather, I will torture myself. And you know, how far I can go when it comes to self-harm.”
Alzeith’s mind raced back to that time when Jin jumped from the third floor of the high school because Alzeith was about to stab scissors in the eye of the girl who confessed to Jin.
Alzeith remained silent for some time before she pushed him away slightly and began walking away.
“You have changed, Yuu.” Without waiting to hear him out, she soon walked away.
Jin watched Alzeith’s retreating figure as a sigh seeped through his lips,
“…I need to sort this out somehow.”
