Let me be a mob! - Chapter 124- To prove his worth~3
Passing the veil was not anywhere as difficult as Aiden expected it to be.
Just a feeling that they had teleported across a long distance and a slight nauseous feeling, it all took before they found themselves in this Dark World.
The clouds were darkened and there was no sign of the populace anywhere close. It looked more like they had reached some barren lands that were once targeted with some high-ranking destructive spell.
However, even though there was no enemy around, Aiden was feeling a sense of anxiety being there. And looking at others’ expressions he could tell that they had similar reactions.
“Now that we are here, how are we going to find him?” In a slightly panicked voice, which she tried to mask, Dia asked.
The responsibility of finding Jin in this realm was taken by Rena’s mother, Elena.
With a wide grin, she closed her eyes and remained silent for a moment.
In the meantime, Rena explained what her mother was doing,
“The twin axes Jin possesses is a gift from my Mother. However, a part of her soul still is connected to them—which allows her to sense the battle axes’ presence easily. ”
” And if we find that weapon, we find Jin,” Aiden added the part with a blank look.
He knew that there was something significant about this mythical weapon like Excalibur and Fenrir, but to think they link with the soul of their user. Indeed, it was enlightening.
“Found him! Let’s-”
“Ahh!” Elena’s stride came to an abrupt halt and everyone turned their gaze to look at one who shouted.
With her face brightened up and eyes directed toward the sky, Silvie held her face and kept her lips wide agape.
“Silvie? What happened?” Rena asked in concern.
“I-I can see them….those many little things…I can see them!” The euphoric expression of the half-elf had made everyone curious and a little concerned.
Fiona stepped forward before sternly asking, “Be more clear with your words. What do you see?”
Silvie, under normal circumstances, would have trembled being asked in such a cold manner but at the moment she was just moving her eyes left and right while gazing at something that seemed to have overwhelmed her.
“These many spirits have never gathered at one place…they never had any reason to. But it seems, someone has become their favorite and now these heavenly beings are going to support that person. Haah~how envious.”
Fiona’s eyes were a little widened as she turned to look at Lisa, who was looking back at her as well.
“Professor…”
“We need to hurry,” Lisa responded before she along with others began to march in the direction where Elena led them.
Aiden carried Silvie in his arms since in her current state, it was pointless to ask her anything.
‘What pushed you to this extent, Jin…’ Fiona couldn’t help but feel her heart-wrenching at the thought.

There was something strange about this human.
Not only did he mysteriously appear in the Demon realm but the way he clings to Alzieth made Merex sure that this human was unique and different from any other else.
However, being different doesn’t allow him to take such a responsibility which could decide Alzieth’s future. That’s why they were battling for the past few minutes.
However, the moment Merex thought that victory was just a few inches away, something changed.
The human was a spirit-user and Merex was aware of it—however, other than utilising Spiritual energy to power up his spells, she deemed Spirits to be no more beneficial.
However, at the moment, standing in the presence of this being who once was called Jin, Merex felt something akin to death mere breath away from her.
His demeanor was on a whole other level compared to his previous pathetic self. His body was radiating with a hue that no human or demon could possess. And the whole person seemed to be surrounded by an energy that made her shudder and urged her to kneel.
However, Merex held her ground and gazed at the lifeless gaze of the monster that stood in front of her.
She was already resolved that either she would win this duel or simply get killed.
“W-what are you?” Her voice was inconsistent as she barely held herself from dropping to the ground—that overwhelming his presence had become.
In response, Jin didn’t say anything but just lifted his left hand and her body was encased in ice, up to her neck. And this time, the rigidity of the ice was far more potent than before!
“E-en-ghee!” Before she could have chanted the spell to enhance her body, a thin yet long ice spike pierced her mouth and dug through the back of her head. Her vocal cords froze up in an instant.
Her attempt to bite the spike and use healing magic was rendered useless as suddenly she felt her magic freezing along with her blood. The demonic core she carried was slowly getting frostbitten—to the point where Merex could no longer channel her magic.
Her eyes were not widened and no sign of shock was shown on her face. Given how easily she was taken captive and how easily he was dominating the field, Merex knew her end was near. She couldn’t resist him.
Nor she could resist her death.
As her consciousness began to darken and the last bit of her vision remained actively gazing at Jin, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of elation that she died at the hands of her Lord.
**CREAK**
The ice that completely envelopes Merex, cracked before a small blast occurred just inches away from Jin—completely ceasing Merex’s existence.
The match concluded, however, before Alzieth could move toward Jin, someone suddenly called out to him from behind,
“Jin!”
In his current state, anyone and everyone was his enemy, as he didn’t think twice before releasing another ice spike in the direction from where the sound arrived.
*SQUELCH*
However, the moment Jin’s lifeless eyes landed on the person he just slaughtered, things seemed to have taken a sudden halt.
Those silver hair…those aquamarine eyes…that face…
Suddenly, Jin felt a throbbing pain arising from deep within as the haze from his eyes slowly began to fade.
She had a smile of relief on her face even though the person she was concerned for, killed the girl.
Under Jin’s horrified gaze, he found someone he had sworn to protect, falling to the ground with blood pouring down the gaping hole in her chest.
“F…ion…a….”
