Is it okay for a loner like me to have a yandere?

“I’m nervous,” I blurted out without meaning to.

A soft hand gently rested over mine, and Suzune’s calm voice helped ease the anxiety bubbling inside me.

“You don’t have to be,” she said with a small smile. “I’ve already told Mom. She’ll support us.”

We were sitting in a car, on our way to Kyoto to meet her family.

Normally, we visit during festivals or summer breaks—so why this sudden trip?

Well, nothing too crazy. I’m just about to become a father.

Surprising? Not really.

Given all the tricks Suzune had been using ever since we started living together, I kind of expected this to happen sooner or later.

Thinking back… it was probably that night she wore the sailor uniform—and adding to the temptation she poked a few tiny holes in the condom.

The downside of having a girlfriend who knows everything about you? She knows exactly how to push your buttons and make you give in.

A few days ago, I proposed to her. Asked her to marry me.

That’s when she told me she was four weeks pregnant.

At first, my mind went completely blank. But then… a sudden rush of warmth and happiness filled me, and I pulled her into a tight hug, grinning like an idiot.

The tears she shed in that moment made me realize just how scared she had been to tell me.

She thought I didn’t like kids—that I didn’t want a baby so soon. But she was wrong.

Once I cleared that up, she finally seemed at peace.

Now, naturally, we had to tell her family members about the fact that Suzune was going to be a mother in eight months.

Her mother already knew, and I couldn’t begin to imagine what reaction would be. Although Suzune said she was surprised and happy, I hardly believe she would be wholly elated by the news.

I had a talk with them before I started living with Suzune, and they also mentioned to take that step only after getting settled in life.

But how can I explain that their daughter seduces me every single night to give in to my desires?

We have sex like every day—of course, not for that one week when she has no option but to keep herself away from me.

I won’t blame everything on her. There are times when I pull her to the bed…or sometimes in the kitchen…and when we are on the couch watching a movie…or-agh! Aren’t I in the same boat as her?

‘Seriously, these urges are very hard to tame,’ I sighed under my breath as I leaned toward her to keep her better position to lean her head on.

Soon, the car rolled to a stop in front of the familiar mansion, and we stepped out.

I stood to Suzune’s left, exhaled a long breath, and held her hand.
“Let’s go,” I said quietly.

We walked inside and were immediately met with a surprise.

In the reception area, several people were waiting for us.

“Huh?” I blinked in confusion.

Not just Suzune’s parents—but my parents, Jiichan, and even her grandfather were all gathered there, sitting with serious expressions on their faces.

Uh-oh. That didn’t feel like a good sign.

I quickly glanced around and spotted the only person in the room who wasn’t frowning—Ayumi-san.

She was smiling like a kid caught red-handed after pulling a prank.

“Sorry~ The news was just too big to keep to myself, eheh~” she said, scratching her cheek sheepishly.

Eheh? Seriously?

“Mou~ I told you to keep it a surprise, Mom,” Suzune pouted and walked over to her.

Wait—Suzune! Don’t just leave me here alone… surrounded by all these serious, narrowed eyes!

I was now facing all the seniors.

I looked at my mother and she also had that look as if I had committed a crime.

“Mom… I…”

“No, Aki. This is unexpected from you.” She shook her head and dismissed my plea.

I turned towards my father, “Dad, I-”

“Akito…we had a talk about this.” He also dismissed my words.

I was feeling helpless here.

In the end, I knelt on the ground and planted my head on the ground, “Please forgive me for breaking my promise.”

What could I have done other than apologize here? No one was ready to listen. And blaming Suzune for this never crossed my mind. I have to man up and take the blame.

There was a long pause from the other side, before a familiar voice called out, “Get up Akito-kun.”

It was Suzune’s father.

I did as he said before I heard him saying, “I hope you are ready to take responsibility.”

I instantly nodded, “Yes, I am going to marry Suzune. I came here to ask for your permission today.”

“In that case,” he got up as he said, “Let’s have a chat first.”

I nervously glanced at my parents and saw them gesturing for me to follow them.

As I got up, Suzune rose from her seat too and anxiously approached me.

“Aki-kun, should I-”

“No, it’s okay.” I cupped her cheek and told her, “I got this.”
