Is it okay for a loner like me to have a yandere? - Chapter 12- Yuki texting
So, yeah. I am staying here at the Takahashi residence.
Until a few hours ago, I couldn’t even have it in my wildest dreams that I would reunite with Suzune-san, get engaged to her out of the blue, and stay at her place.
It was like I was being shown an illusion that I never desired to see.
I was given a separate room—surely they could do that considering how huge this place was—and was left alone.
It was already ten on the clock when they decided to continue their gossip tomorrow morning.
Both families are very disciplined.
However, I wasn’t sleepy much.
I looked around the room for a bit.
There was a king-size bed, a small working table, a wardrobe, a full-length mirror, and a shelf where a boiling pot and some other basic things were kept.
It felt like I was staying in a luxurious hotel room or something.
There was a window which gave the view of the backside of the mansion. But since it was too dark, I refrained.
I lay down on the bed and took my phone.
Taping on my file icon, I opened the light novel I had downloaded recently. It was the latest volume of the novel I have been following for some time now.
It’s just the perfect type of novel with blood-pumping action, friendship, drama, and lots of romance.
This is the kind of light novel I usually prefer.
I was reading the first paragraph when suddenly the top section of the screen was blocked by a message that popped up.
I frowned upon seeing who sent the message.
Yuki: [Is everything okay? Your house lights are off.]
Oh, she noticed?
Well, there was no point in explaining things to her so I just simply stated,
Me: [Went out with parents.]
Closing the chat, I returned to my novel.
Yuki always replies late these days, since she is mostly engaged in group chatting with her new friends. That’s why, I wasn’t expecting any text from her this soon.
*Ding*
Guess I was wrong.
Yuki: [Are you free tomorrow? Can we go somewhere?]
My frown deepened. What does she want now?
Me: [I am staying here. Won’t return tomorrow.]
Again, the response was almost instant.
Yuki: [Are you staying with your relatives?]
I was now growing irritated. Why does she care now all of a sudden?
Was it guilt? Or something Haruka said? No, she was already too busy with her love life to interfere with someone else’s matter.
I was thinking what to say when suddenly, I heard a knock.
“Coming,” I said and dropped the phone on the bed after tapping on the power button.
Opening the door, I was…surprised.
With her hair slightly damp and a thin night dress hugging a body that I would easily put in the category of sinful, she stood there.
Her cheeks were flushed…maybe because she took a bath. And the fragrance she extruded made my mind numb.
She was breathtaking.
“Umm..” she said, fidgeting. Her blush grew bolder.
I now realized that I was ogling at her.
Yes, ogling.
“I-I am sorry. Please come inside.” I invited her inside in a panic, even though inviting a girl into my room at this hour wasn’t good.
She nodded and stepped inside.
I noticed she was holding a plushie in her hand, making me ask, “You…aren’t going to sleep here, right?”
It sounded impossible but who knows what her family members might force her to do?
Suzune-san hurriedly shook her head, “I know you can’t sleep peacefully somewhere else…so I brought this to help you sleep better.”
She extended her hands and offered me the rabbit plush.
“You remembered…” I mumbled under my breath. I told her a long time ago about my problem of not being able to fall asleep somewhere else.
“Of course, I did. I remember everything of our childhood.” She said, smilingly.
I flinched for a moment.
Was this her way to remind me that she hadn’t forgotten about ‘that’ day?
The day when I, a total nobody, shouted at Takahashi Suzune and made her cry?
Guh…I suddenly want to disappear.
“Hmm?” My brows elevated once I got out of my trance and realized Suzune-san was looking at my phone, which I had missed turning off.
I unhurriedly approached the bed and closed the screen, “Just a friend texting.”
She blinked in confusion, “She is persistently messaging, asking whether you are free tomorrow.”
Oh, she reads fast.
I shrugged, “I ain’t going. We aren’t like close friends anymore.”
She hummed in confusion, “Something happened, Aki-kun. I remember you don’t abandon your friends easily.”
I wryly smiled, “And…that’s still the same.” Didn’t know whether it was right to tell her my sob story, but I ended up revealing, “I was the one who got betrayed and abandoned. But it’s natural. I have gotten used to it now.”
I didn’t want to sound emo or anything…but don’t know why I ended up telling her. Maybe because I wanted comfort for her? But it was ridiculous.
Regardless, I took the plush and was about to thank her when,
“Aki-kun…I won’t ever abandon you. I promise.” She said, her eyes locked on mine and not a trace of hesitation or hidden meaning behind those eyes.
She meant what she said.
But…didn’t you abandon me once, Suzune-san?
Undoubtedly, I didn’t say that and just remained standing there.
She soon turned away and started to walk out.
I followed her to the door and just when she was about to step out, she turned to look over her shoulder.
“Tomorrow…Kaa-san suggested we should go on a date. Is it okay with you?”
I was flabbergasted by the sudden proposal.
“We…really have to? Like…won’t it be a little too fast?”
She smiled at me, “We can just catch up on things we missed while we were apart? And don’t worry, I won’t make you spend too much.”
“..!!” I turned stiff at those words. Was she teasing me?
“You don’t need to worry about expenses. I will handle everything.” My dormant male ego lit up and I said coolly.
She giggled, “Then I will wait for you in the morning. Good night.”
I hummed and closed the door.
Remained standing there with my hands on my waist.
I remained staring at the door for a long time…then I turned towards the bed and lay down.
Diving my hot face in my palms I muttered, “Is this really a date? Am I going on a date with Suzune-san?”
This sounded so bad yet so tempting…
God.

A/N:- The poor him is torn. Thanks for reading..

I dont wanna rush it but she might save this for me. Her behavior as kids needs to be acknowledged at aome point but she seems to really care and fortunately shes not a tsundere-yandere. Ut a yabdere with a lot of dere for him and is level headed and hes falling fast. So yeah, I hope it goes well.
Ps: that Yuki girl is a complete weirdo
Shes a good girl! She was still mean as a kid, but hey kids do mean stuff and all she knew before that was people being mean. You output what gets input.
