Kyoko: We were all called in together.

Ran: Oh, I see. So, how was it? Was it as bad as expected?

Kyoko: Yeah, it was bad. Really bad. I cried. Everyone, prepare yourselves before going.

Chika: Ehh?! Ran-chan, what do we do? I might end up crying too.

Ran: Chika, let’s endure it together. Be like a rock. We have to become stone! No matter what 

kind of destruction beam hits us, we won’t break!

Shizu: Hellooo? Lying is bad. Why are you scaring your friends? And it’s rude to the Prince’s mother too.

Chika: Huh? A lie? Which part? It was an Inrou Trial, so it had to be bad, right?

Kyoko: Sorry, sorry. The Prince’s mother was actually super nice. It wasn’t bad at all.

Yuuko: His little sister was a good kid too. The first part was over in no time, and the second part took longer. But it was really fun.

Ran: What’s with that “second part” thing? Sounds like it was bad after all.

Kyoko: Actually, it wasn’t a two-part thing—it was three parts.

Chika: Eek! That long?!

Shizu: The second part was a cooking class, and the third part was making sweets. I wasn’t much help, but it was fun.

Mika: What are you guys talking about?

Ran: The Inrou Trial. Yuuko and the others already went through it.

Mika: Ohh. That was fast. The Inrou Trial is coming in real fast for all three of you, huh?

Hina: It’s because the Prince is away on a trip. If they were going to do it, now was the best time.

Mika: A trip? You mean that planned ski trip? Didn’t you get invited to that, Hina?

Hina: Yeah, I got invited to ski. But my schedule didn’t match up with the Prince’s group. 

Saki: Whoa! So that’s how it is. That sounds tough. Like, I have a bad feeling about it.

Hina: Yeah. It’s just a formal meeting with that Elder Partner person, but it kind of feels like my own Inrou Trial.

Mika: Who’s scarier, Inrou-sama or the Elder Partner?

Hina: Houjou-chi said they’re a really kind person, so it should be fine. But honestly? I can’t believe that.

Mika: Yeah, you can’t take that at face value. People act differently toward their boyfriend and their rivals.

Ran: Hina, do your best! We’ll do our best too!

Hina: I’ll train with you guys to become stone.

Yuuko: But maybe, just like us, it’ll turn out easier than you think?

Ran: Was it really that easy?

Kyoko: Yeah. As expected from that airheaded Prince’s mom…  She was super friendly and warm. His little sister was adorable too.

Chika: That’s like winning the jackpot of Inrou Trials… That kind of mother-in-law actually exists?!

Ran: So jealous~! That’s like hitting the jackpot in the lottery! So lucky.

Shizu: Maybe. At first, she did say something about it being a pressure-filled interview, but it was more like a light jab. We were bracing ourselves, expecting things to get serious, but then she suddenly declared the intense part was over.

Kyoko: It was so short. I was shocked.

Chika: Huh. So that kind of thing happens too.

Yuuko: She even taught us how to cook and praised us at just the right moments. She’s honestly such a wonderful mother.

Kyoko: Yuuko totally scored points. Being good at cooking really helps.

Shizu: Same for you, Kyo-chan. You really hit it off with her, and her little sister took a liking to you. Personality-wise, you seem like the best match with theem.

Kyoko: Well, Yui-chan is so tiny yet full of energy, and she’s ridiculously cute. She’s so friendly. I’d love to have a little sister like that.

Mika: Oh yeah, isn’t the Prince’s little sister starting high school soon?

Shizu: Yeah. She even told me, “I’ll be in your care from April.”

Yuuko: I’ll totally take care of her! She mentioned she might join the Cooking Club, so even though I’ve already retired, I might drop by as an observer now and then. That way, we can make pudding together.

Hina: Pudding? Why pudding?

Kyoko: Because it’s the Prince’s favorite sweets. Probably his sister’s too. She was really pushing the pudding agenda.

Yuuko: Apparently, they’re aiming for a pretty serious level of pudding-making. Yui-chan said she wants to recreate the “Blissful Pudding.”

Mika: Blissful Pudding? Never heard of it. Which confectionery company makes it?

Yuuko: No idea. Even Yui-chan wasn’t sure about the details. She said she’s still gathering information.

Shizu: I tried searching online, but nothing relevant came up, so it doesn’t seem to be from a major brand.

Mika: Hmm. Maybe it’s one of those hidden gem puddings that only certain people know about. I’d love to try it if I could.
