Chapter 28: Real-life Issues
Yuuka said she had something to do and left for home.
I was honestly relieved to see her go.
I took a shower, scrubbed my body and even brushed my teeth vigorously to get rid of any lingering taste.
Then, in the quiet gym, I drank some hot water and took a few deep breaths.
What the hell was I thinking?
I’ve always been careful not to drink any alcohol.
If it had been her first time, it would have been quite challenging.
No matter how drunk I was, I think I would have sobered up halfway through.
It’s too dangerous not to remember anything at all.
I realized I hadn’t used a condom, which made me worried.
That’s why, as Yuuka was about to leave, I persistently asked her again to go to the hospital.
She finally agreed, saying, “Alright! I’ll go by myself because it’s embarrassing.”
I’m extremely worried about whether she actually went to the hospital or not.
If something happens, it’ll be much more difficult for her as a girl.
I’ll make sure to ask her about it the next time I see her.
In the first place, I wanted to find out if Yamaguchi Yuuka was a Worm.
That’s why I went out to eat with her.
But I can’t tell if she’s a Worm or not.
At this point, whether she’s a Worm or not doesn’t matter to me anymore.
We ended up becoming a couple.
The fact that we’re now a couple is much more realistic and weighs heavily on my mind than whether or not she’s a Worm.

“Koichi! Let’s go home together.”
After club practice, Yuuka ran up to me.
“I have a part-time job today, though.”
“I know, but let’s walk to the station together.”
We’re already acting like a couple.
I caught Aoi-chan’s eye from a distance, and a cold sweat ran down my spine.
I feel like shouting “I only love Aoi-chan!”
When our eyes met, Aoi-chan quickly averted her gaze.
(Ahh, this is definitely bad.)

“Yuuka, I’m truly sorry about what happened the other day.
But I like Aoi-chan…”
I said this to Yuuka as she clung to my arm.
Yuuka turned to face me.
“…It’s okay if you gradually grow to like me.”
Is what she said.
“Hmm…”
My feelings for Aoi-chan are surprisingly strong.
So there’s no way my heart will change.
“Did you go to the hospital?”
“Yes, I went. I took care of it.”
Yuuka said, looking down.
“I’m glad. Are you… okay physically?”
Yuuka pouted.
“Let’s not talk about that anymore!”
She said in an angry tone.
“But it’s important, and I’m worried,”
I said, and Yuuka frowned, staring up at me.
