Chapter 11: The Avenger Reven Heads Toward His Next Target of Revenge
~◆Bichi’s Manor◇~
“Kozu and Kaiste were taken down by that useless Reven?”
Bichi, one of the members of the Hero’s Party, was receiving a report from a certain individual.
“That’s right.”
After the person muttered just those words, she fell into an uncomfortable silence.
“What’s wrong?”
“Why are you bringing this to my attention? Kozu and Kaiste are just incompetent fools who’ll be kicked out of the Hero’s Party soon anyway. I’m supposed to go on vacation with my boyfriend soon.”
Bichi was the mage of the Hero’s Party, an incompetent person ranked alongside Kozu and Kaiste, and the only woman among the three incompetents.
Her appearance was vastly different from Elmia, who belonged to the Hero’s Party at headquarters—she had an extremely hideous face. Despite being forty-two years old, she wore frilly clothing meant for young people, had a greedy pig-like countenance, and her chubby hands that resembled a baby’s were painfully crammed with ring after ring that looked like shackles. The stench of intense perfume wafted from her—she was truly filthy and repulsive to behold.
She too was one of those who had driven out Reven, and alongside Kozu and Kaiste, had daily urged Alex to expel him.
Furthermore, she was an even more troublesome existence than Kozu and Kaiste, having used her wealth to steal away the fiancé of a poor household and force a broken engagement.
She never worked, constantly taking her frustrations out on new employees (especially young women).
For these reasons, she was rumored to be on the verge of expulsion from the Hero’s Party alongside Kozu and Kaiste, but she blamed this on Elmia and the other young members.
“I thought you’d be the next target. That’s all.”
Bichi flew into a rage at this statement.
“Huh!? Why the hell would I be Reven’s target!? If that’s the case, he’d come after you first! Obviously!?”
At those words, the mysterious figure sighed and said:
“Who do you think you’re talking to? You pig.”
At those words, Bichi flinched.
“Given the difference between your position and mine, if it were him, he’d naturally target a lower-ranked person like you first. Besides, you’ve earned his resentment. It’s a miracle he went after Kozu and Kaiste first.”
“Don’t screw with me!! It’s his fault for being defiant toward me!! Anyway, that guy is usele—”
“From where I stand, both Reven and you are equally useless!! Don’t you dare talk back to me, you old pig hag!!”
“Eek!!”
When the mysterious figure shouted at Bichi, she fell silent.
“Listen carefully!! Defeat Reven. And avenge Kozu and Kaiste. If you do that, I’ll give a good report to the higher-ups. But if you can’t… you understand what that means, don’t you?”
At those words, Bichi kept her mouth shut.
“Reven will definitely appear before you. It’s kill or be killed. I’m counting on you as a member of the Party.”
After leaving those words, the mysterious figure departed from the scene.
Trembling with rage, Bichi burst out of the room and headed toward the clerical staff working under her.
When she entered, a frozen atmosphere filled the room.
She stomped forward with heavy footsteps and, when she reached a recently hired young female employee, slammed her hand on the desk.
Bang!
“What about your work?”
At those words, the woman flinched and stopped the piled-up work she was doing.
“Um… I’m working on it right now…”
Without saying anything, Bichi snatched the documents the woman had finished.
Then, suddenly opening her eyes wide, she shouted at the woman:
“You made a mistake here!! How many months have you been working here!?”
While shouting, Bichi slammed the documents down with all her force.
Bang!
Though frightened and trembling, the woman answered:
“Regarding those documents, I had a senior colleague check them for errors. At that time, they said there were no mistakes.”
As she said, there were no mistakes in the documents.
If anything, there was only a correction stamp where a character had been slightly written incorrectly.
Then Bichi tore up a large stack of documents.
Riiip! Riiip!
“Don’t make excuses!! I’ve taught you this so many times, haven’t I!? Listen up!! Finish these documents today!! And just so you know, I’m not paying freeloaders like you!! I’m not paying you for today!!”
After saying that, she glared at the people watching silently around her and shouted:
“That goes for all of you!! Everyone works without pay today!! I’m busy!!”
With that, she stormed out of the room.
Most likely, she was heading to her boyfriend who was using her as a cash cow.
But she didn’t know.
That the incarnation of vengeance was heading her way.
~◆Zagig Town・Fountain Plaza◇~
The fountain plaza was occupied by a horde of snapping turtles.
“Waaaaaaah!! Where is she!! You damn pig woman!!”
Just as the mysterious figure had said, Reven was having the snapping turtles search for Bichi’s location.
The snapping turtles, perhaps hating being on land, immediately dove into the fountain.
“What are you slacking off fooooor!! You bastards!!”
Reven thrust his arm into the fountain.
Chomp!!
However, his entire arm was bitten off.
“Gyaaaaaaah!! My arm! My arm!!”
“You’re loud from the get-go, old man!!”
As Reven writhed in pain, a savior appeared.
“You seem to be in trouble.”
“Th-that voice!!”
The person who appeared before him was a portly mechanical prosthetic limb technician.
“Hammika-san!!”
“Who’s that?”
After Roaks’s cold retort, Hammika smiled and said:
“Show me your arm. I’ll give you a new one.”
With that, he attached a new arm to Reven.
Yes, he gave him double drill arms.
“Wow—thank you!! Hammika-san!!”
Saying that, he drilled into Hammika’s abdomen with his drills.
Whiiiiiiirrrrrrrr!!
“Gyaaaaaaaah!!”
And from the large amount of blood flowing from Hammika, the Bayaka Two-Sword Secret Technique: “Blood Guidance” began.
“Oh my, the information board is…”
“Drenched in fresh blood!! Show some surprise!!”
The Blood Guidance indicated Bichi’s location.
[Umm—to the right!!]
“I see!! Like hell I understaaaand!!”
When the Blood Guidance was punched, it scattered into droplets.
“Huh, are you stopping it!?”
When Flam expressed surprise, Reven grinned.
“No need to worry about that.”
Perhaps drawn by the smell of blood, the snapping turtles emerged from the fountain.
And after getting blood on their feet, they began walking to the right.
The gorilla-like monster did.
“You’re the one guiding us!?”
“Nobody asked you!!”
When the gorilla-like monster was struck on the head, it spewed a massive amount of disposable chopsticks from its mouth.
~◇Bichi’s Manor◆~
The female employee who had been harassed by Bichi was crying alone in the bathroom.
Sob… hic…
But then, in front of her, she saw through the bathroom window a massive amount of chopsticks stabbing into the manor.
“Kyaaaaaaah!! What! What’s happening!?”
And beneath those chopsticks, a gorilla-like monster was fleeing with movements like a bad photoshop, running away from something.
“Uho-ho-ho-ho-ho-hon! (I can’t take this life anymore!! I’m going back to my parents’ house!)”
“What’s with that monster!? Whoever made that thing, come out here!!”
Before her surprise could settle, the pursuit arrived.
“Wait, damn it!! If you don’t marry me, I’ll kill you!! You stalker monster harlot!!”
What came next was a muscle-bound old man over two meters tall.
He was swinging around a spiked iron ball while chasing the monster.
(What’s with that guy!! His appearance is way too outlandish!! Wait—that monster is female!?)
No, it’s hermaphroditic.
Though males are more common.
And behind them, a plain-looking boy was playing around with an umbrella, pretending it was a sword.
“Heh, my Ex-umbrella is breathing fire.”
(You’re bombing, kid.)
The woman looked at Roaks with cold eyes.
“Boys really like this kind of thing, don’t they~”
A lovely girl with red hair giggled as she watched Roaks play with his umbrella.
(Oh, there’s a cute girl too… wait, her figure isn’t cute at all!! Give me that voluptuous chest and butt!!)
But while all this was happening, the monster smashed through the window glass and invaded the manor.
“Kyaa!!”
“Help me! (Uho!)”
“It talked!?”
And next, the wall was smashed open, and that man entered.
“Now then, where’s that old hag?”
Now, the payback begins.
