On the day of the second-year high school opening ceremony, it was Yusuke Arima who saved a girl who fell down the stairs. 

However, Arima, taking advantage of the fact that the girl he rescued had lost consciousness and that a handsome friend was present, lied and said. 

"I'm the one who helped her."

Arima had past experiences of being bullied for his appearance and physique, and he thought it would be better for his friend to take the credit, remembering an incident from his past when a girl he saved had cried when she thanked him.
