- I Was Stranded on a Deserted Island with a Beautiful Classmate
- Chapter 27 - Yandere Love Adventure
I went back to the original path and returned to the front of the cave.
The girls, who had been causing such a commotion earlier, were now collapsed on the ground, panting heavily. …Just how much had they been fighting?
“…Ah! Hayasaka-kun, where have you been?”
“Oh, Chitose. Sorry, I was kidnapped by Amane. Kitakami joined us too, so we were just in the back of the cave.”
“In the back of the cave?”
“Yeah, remember that whole thing about me being fought over earlier? So, I snuck away to the back of the cave…and I ran into ‘Kurashima’ over there.”
As I explained, Yaegashi raised her voice.
“No way!? Kurashima was in this cave!?”
“Ah…yeah, he was hiding. There’s an underground lake back there that connects to the other side of the island. Apparently, he swam here.”
“…What!? So, what did you do?”
“I took him down. Kurashima pointed a gun at me, so I fought back with a log.”
As I described the unbelievable situation in detail, the group fell into an uproar.
“No way, that really happened!? A log…is it really that strong?” Riko groaned, holding her head. Well, it’s long like a spear, so as long as it hits, it should hurt quite a bit.
To prove it, Kurashima apparently had his ribs broken.
I was about to talk about the gun next, but Amane cut me off.
Then, she whispered softly.
“Hayasaka-kun, let’s keep that a secret. Just between the three of us. We’ll take it to the grave.”
“But…is it okay not to tell the truth?”
“Yeah, I think it’s fine. I bet there are people here who are lying about something too.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“There’s been someone suspicious, right?”
…Yeah, well.
I don’t want to think about it, but maybe.
For now, I swallowed the story about the gun.
“Hey, um…Hayasaka-kun.”
“Whoa! Wh-what is it, Ooi-san?”
“Who’s Kurashima?”
“Oh…”
Right, I hadn’t explained it to the five girls who recently joined us.
I went ahead and told them all about ‘Kurashima.’
The five of them looked utterly disgusted and screamed.
“Ew…gross!”
“He stalked Amane!?”
“He sank the ship!?”
“Why are we getting dragged into this mess with that trash guy!?”
“Kill him, kill that scum!!”
To be rejected this much…Kurashima, you are seriously hated. Not that I can sympathize.
“Anyway, the guy got washed away into the underground lake and disappeared.”
I’m not lying.
I don’t know if he’s alive or dead…but he must be dead. I’m sure I shot him in the chest.
“Good, I’m glad.”
Ooi and the others sighed in relief.
It looks like they’ll be staying with us at the base now. Or rather, they don’t have much of a choice.
“Ooi-san, would you like to stay and live here with us?”
“Huh, is that okay?”
“If we work together, we can have a comfortable life. With this many people, we could even build a house.”
“That sounds great. The tents are unstable, and I’ve been worried about them blowing away in strong winds.”
It’s decided, then.
Ooi and the others said they’ll go back for today.
They left their belongings at their base on the other side of the island, so they want to go retrieve them.
I offered to escort them, but they politely declined, saying there were five of them, so they’d be fine. I’m sure they’ll be okay.
* * *
Twilight—the night was falling again.
How many days has it been since we washed ashore on this island?
So much has happened, I’ve lost track.
Oh well, I guess it doesn’t matter. Living on this island is pretty fun now.
Being surrounded by girls and living it up isn’t so bad. It’s like heaven.
With one strike of the fire starter, I got the fire going before it got too dark.
Kitakami complimented me as the flames caught.
“You’re quite the craftsman, Hayasaka-kun.”
“Hey, Kitakami-san. …Wait, is that—”
“Oh, this? It’s the boar meat from before. I made it into smoked meat.”
“What!? When did you…? And how did you make a smoker?”
“Actually, today, Higanbana-san found a metal drum for us.”
“A metal drum!?”
A metal drum is usually used to store chemicals. Hmm…I’m worried about hygiene, but is it really okay to use?
“Don’t worry. There was a faint label for rice crackers, so I think it was used for food.”
“Oh, rice crackers? In that case, it should be fine.”
“Besides, using a metal drum reduces the risk of fire, so it’s perfect for campfires.”
It’s less affected by the wind too. Not a bad idea.
It’ll make cooking easier as well.
“That’s a rare find.”
But Riko and the others are absent now.
Only Kitakami is here.
It’s just the two of us, which is unusual.
“By the way, Hayasaka-kun.”
“Wh-why are you staring at me like that, Kitakami-san?”
“You’re feeling pretty pent up by now, aren’t you?”
“Huh!? Wh-what do you mean by that!?”
“Lots of things.”
“Lots of things!?”
“Yes, lots of things…”
She was getting closer for some reason!
Oh no, I feel like a frog frozen under a snake’s gaze. I can’t move.
“Want me to help you feel better?”
She whispered in my ear, and I was completely disarmed.
Th-this kind of power…is overwhelming. I can’t take it anymore! If Amane and the others see us now, there’ll be another war.
This time it’d be a nuclear war!!
“S-stop!”
“…Don’t worry. I’ll take full responsibility and make sure you feel really good.”
“Whaaaat!?”
Am I…Am I going to be attacked!?
I closed my eyes and braced myself, but Kitakami moved behind me. …What’s going on?
While I was on guard, Kitakami—started massaging my shoulders.
“You’ve been working hard, so here’s a massage.”
“…”
“What’s wrong, Hayasaka-kun?”
“Well…I was expecting a…you know, naughty kind of massage.”
“Then say you love me. If you do, I’ll consider it.”
“…”
As I hesitated, Kitakami pulled out a knife.
“Say it. Tell me you love me…”
“I won’t give in to threats, Kitakami-san. You’re not really planning to kill me, are you?”
“…No, I’m in a good mood because it’s just the two of us right now, so I’m not feeling murderous. But if you flirt with other girls…there will be a bloodbath.”
“I love you, Kitakami-san!”
I immediately answered, not wanting to die.
“That didn’t sound sincere.”
“No, no, that was my best confession. You should be praising me for it.”
“Hmm…fifty points. But fine, I’ll keep giving you the massage.”
She started massaging my shoulders again.
…It feels good, and she’s pretty skilled. Plus, I could feel her chest pressing against my back. …What kind of massage is this?
“Kitakami-san, don’t you want to go back home?”
“Not really. I’m more of a wild child, you know.”
“Oh, because you’re a survival girl?”
“That’s part of it. I’ve always loved traveling, and I was planning to travel the world someday, living off the land. But I never imagined I’d end up on a deserted island like this.”
That makes sense. It’s a valuable experience in its own way.
I see. It’s because she had that goal in mind that she knows so much about survival. Plus, she’s got great athletic ability.
“Kitakami-san, you’re an adventurer.”
“Yeah, these days I’m adventuring in love. That’s why…I love you.”
“…Huh? Wh-what!?”
Seriously?
She wasn’t joking. Kitakami seriously confessed to me. In my ear.
…Well, now what?
Thanks to her, I’ve managed to survive until now. So…
Uh, wait, what!?!
