- I Was Stranded on a Deserted Island with a Beautiful Classmate
- Chapter 25 - A Terrifying Plan
Something soft and moist pressed against my lips.
The suddenness of it made my mind go completely blank.
I never imagined I’d be kissed.
Should I thank her, or take Amane and escape to the back of the cave? I considered several options, but the sweetness of the kiss won out.
“Amane-san, what are you trying to do?”
“It’s only natural, Kitakami-san. Rather than letting this turn into an ugly fight, I’ll just claim Hayasaka-kun for myself.”
“That’s unfair. It’s incredibly unfair. You deserve death.”
Kitakami pointed a knife at us, closing the distance steadily. This is bad. She looks serious. Amane and I are both going to get killed.
But I won’t let that happen.
“Kitakami-san, let’s talk this through.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill Hayasaka-kun. But I will rip Amane-san to shreds.”
“Hey, stop saying such violent things. Let’s all get along. We’ve been doing that up until now, right?”
“Hayasaka-kun, do you like Amane-san?”
“Th-That’s…”
“If you say yes, I’ll kill you.”
“Wait, hold on! Kitakami-san, this is wrong!”
But Kitakami pointed the knife at Amane.
This is bad…If this goes any further, there’s no turning back.
I want to escape the island with everyone. But at this rate…!
Think. I need to think of something.
My brain isn’t dead yet.
It’s not over. Not yet.
There must be…some way to solve this—Huh?
“Kyaaa!”
Suddenly, Amane screamed and clung to me. What’s going on!?
“What’s wrong, Amane?”
“Th-There’s a ghost behind us…!”
“A ghost? No, that’s a person.”
“Huh…?”
A human figure emerged from the darkness, eerily.
Has someone been hiding in the back of this cave…?
Who!?
“…Hahaha, so this is where it led.”
“You…Kurashima!”
It was Kurashima who appeared. He had an evil grin on his face as he looked at Amane.
Why is he here!?
“Ha-Hayasaka-kun…This man touched my butt! That’s disgusting!”
“Seriously? Damn it, I can’t forgive that…Kurashima, are you still thinking of people as slaves?”
“Of course. That’s why I orchestrated this whole event. I used the storm and explosives to sink the ship and made sure about a hundred students got stranded here.”
“What…?”
Kurashima grinned and pointed at Amane.
“I’m going to make Amane-san mine. But it’d be lonely with just Adam and Eve in this paradise, so we’ll need some slaves. On this lawless island, we can do whatever we want.
I am the law. I will control everything!”
Does he think he’s some kind of god?
Everything he’s saying is wrong.
So it was all part of his plan to sink the ship…He’s a terrible person. This is outright terrorism.
If that’s the case, Kurashima is a devil.
“Kurashima, your ambition won’t come true.”
“Hmph, say what you want. But don’t think I’m the same as before.”
With a quick motion, Kurashima pointed something shiny and silver at us.
In that instant, Kitakami stepped in front of me.
“Hayasaka-kun, that’s a revolver, the ‘King Cobra’!”
A gun!? No way. How does he have something like that on a deserted island?
“You’re sharp, Kitakami. Yes, it’s the American-made Colt King Cobra. It only holds six bullets, but that’s more than enough.”
Kurashima aimed the gun at me.
He didn’t have this kind of weapon before. Did he happen to find it?
“Heh, do you think you can kill me with a toy like that? It’s probably just an air gun.”
“Is that so? Then let’s test it out.”
It’s…not a toy?
Is it real?
If it is, I’m going to die?
No, don’t lose hope.
We’re still in Japan, right?
This is supposed to be the safest country, with the strictest gun control in the world. There’s no way he could have smuggled a real gun in.
“Amane, if something happens to me…”
“Don’t say that, Hayasaka-kun! That’s what people say when they’re about to die…”
Ah, you’re right.
That would be a death flag, wouldn’t it?
I’ve messed up, haven’t I?
“Hahaha! You really want to die, don’t you, Hayasaka!? Fine, I won’t kill you right away. I’ll shoot your legs so you can’t move, and then I’ll rape Amane in front of you!”
Kurashima immediately fired the gun.
A loud bang echoed, and I felt the impact on my leg—!?
Wait, was it real!?
“Damn it! That hurts!”
I shouted, but there was no pain in my leg.
Wait, I’m not injured?
I looked closely, and Kitakami was standing in front of me.
She was holding her knife, facing Kurashima.
She looked…furious?
“Hayasaka-kun, are you hurt?”
“No, I’m fine. But how…”
“I cut the bullet.”
“You cut the bullet!?”
Amane and I shouted in disbelief.
That’s impossible.
At this distance, it’s physically impossible.
But if it’s Kitakami, maybe she could do it…
“What!? You’re kidding me…Wait, Kitakami, did you just cut my bullet with that knife?”
“I sliced it cleanly in two. Is that a problem?”
“You’re not human…Hahaha…This is interesting, Kitakami. But I still have five bullets left!”
Kurashima prepared to shoot again.
She might have cut the bullet by chance earlier, but there’s no way she can do it twice.
So I’ll use this method.
Remember the time we fought the wild boar.
I pulled out my smartphone and turned on the flashlight.
“Take this, Kurashimaaaaaa!”
“What!? My eyes! My eyes!”
The bright LED light from the smartphone pierced Kurashima’s eyes.
In this dark cave, it was especially effective.
“Now, Amane…Kitakami-san! Grab the log!”
There were logs scattered around the cave, used for firewood, beds, or fences.
“Got it!”
“Ready when you are!”
The three of us grabbed a log and prepared ourselves.
“Alright, everyone has their log! Charge!”
We rushed forward.
Kurashima was blinded by the light, and he fired his gun aimlessly.
“Damn it, damn it! Hayasaka, you blinded me!”
Kurashima screamed as he clutched his eyes, and we charged at him with the log.
With all our strength, we struck him hard.
“Kurashima, stay in the back of this cave!”
“W-What!? Aaahhhhhh!”
With three consecutive hits from the log, Kurashima was knocked back, rolling further into the cave until he disappeared into the darkness.
“…Is it over?”
“I’m exhausted.”
Amane collapsed weakly.
Kitakami seemed to have lost her bloodthirsty mood as she put her knife away.
“I no longer feel like killing Amane-san. After all, we should work together.”
“I’m glad you understand.”
“But I still can’t forgive the kiss. You have to kiss me, too.”
“Someday…”
“…Alright.”
Kitakami smiled happily. This should be fine, right?
