Chapter 1: Stranded on a Deserted Island
The school trip is apparently to a remote island.
Do we really have to take a boat to get there? And on top of that, the weather forecast said a typhoon is approaching. Yet still…
“…This is boring.”
That day, the typhoon hit directly, causing the sea to become incredibly rough.
The boat kept making strange movements until it finally tipped over.
…You’ve got to be kidding me.
No way, it’s not going to sink like the Titanic, right!?
“It’s bad! The boat is sinking!!”
The teacher was shouting that.
H-hey, wait!!
“There’s a lifeboat. We’re heading there.”
Another teacher said that.
It seems like we have no choice but to rush there.
But in the blink of an eye, the boat flipped over.
…Oh, crap.
――Before I knew it, I was in darkness――
I fell into the seawater, gulping it down.
Seeing my classmates being swallowed by the waves…I lost consciousness.
◆
“――Ah!”
When I woke up, my cheek was burning. Feeling the scorching heat, I sat up.
Where am I?
Looking around, I saw a beautiful sandy beach. It was like being overseas.
And next to me, there was someone. …Wait, isn’t that one of the girls from my class? This distinctive long hair…Who was it again? I remembered her face but couldn’t recall her name.
“…Nngh, mm…”
“Hey, you. It’s bad, it seems we’ve been washed up on some island.”
“Huh…Where are we? Why am I…wait, what!?”
“Looks like you’ve realized. After the boat sank, we were washed up here. We’re stranded.”
“Huh, wha…no way…”
The girl whose name I didn’t know was in shock.
I couldn’t believe it either.
But this was the reality.
Even when I pinched my cheek, it wasn’t a dream.
It seems like we’re stranded here.
“At first glance, it looks like a deserted island. I haven’t checked thoroughly, though.”
“There has to be someone…Let’s go look for help.”
“You’re right. There might be someone around.”
Together with the girl whose name I didn’t know, we started walking around the area—but there was nothing.
“…”
Both of us were silent, filled with despair.
No way, there really isn’t a single person here, and not even a fishing boat in sight. This is a genuine deserted island.
“What should we do, um, what’s-your-name?”
“That ‘what’s-your-name’ thing, what’s that? I’m Mana Amane. And you’re Hayasaka-kun.”
“Oh, so you knew my name.”
“Well, yeah, we’re classmates. And yet, you didn’t remember mine.”
“We’ve never really talked before, and I’m kind of a loner.”
“Ah…sorry.”
Don’t look at me with those eyes!
But at least now I knew her name.
So, she’s Amane, huh.
And her full name is Mana Amane. That’s a pretty cute name.
Amane had the looks of an idol with her long black hair. She’s probably one of the most beautiful girls in the class.
On top of that, she has an amazing figure.
And now, here I am stranded with her.
Well…given the situation, it’s complicated, but I’m kind of happy about it.
“—Oh, right! Amane, our smartphones!”
“Oh, that’s right! You’re a genius, Hayasaka-kun!”
Being praised, I felt a little happy.
Let’s try using our phones to call for help…wait.
Looking at the screen, cold sweat ran down my face.
…No service!?
Noooooooo…!!!

Chapter 2: How Do We Escape?
The smartphones were useless.
Well, it’s a remote island far from the mainland, so that’s probably to be expected. The distance is quite far, too.
“This place looks like a deserted island. There’s no way there would be a signal.”
“Ugh…this is the worst. Wait, is it just the two of us, Hayasaka-kun?”
“Probably. I don’t see any other classmates. Maybe they’re at the bottom of the sea…or got washed away.”
“Stop saying such ominous things!”
Amane’s face turned pale.
Now that I think about it, her uniform is soaking wet, and she looks a bit cold. Also, her underwear is slightly see-through.
Hmm, blue, huh?
“It’s just a possibility. It’s a miracle that we even survived. That typhoon was so strong…and the boat sank.”
“Y-yeah, but…wait, Hayasaka-kun, have you been staring at my chest?”
“…Maybe.”
“What!? It’s see-through! Don’t look, it’s embarrassing!”
Amane blushed, on the verge of tears, as she protested.
She quickly turned around and squatted.
My heart’s pounding too.
Alone with such a beautiful girl!?
I can’t believe it…
I’ve never even had the chance to talk to a girl before. I was sure I’d live a lonely life until graduation.
But now, after being stranded, I find myself alone with Amane.
What kind of fate is this?
“Amane, instead of worrying about that, let’s figure out how to escape.”
“T-that’s more important…Achoo!”
Amane let out a cute sneeze. She does look a little cold. If only we could start a fire…but how?
A fire starter…if only I had something like that. Oh, wait—I do.
I carried one as a good-luck charm.
“It’s summer, so our clothes might dry naturally, but let’s try to make a fire anyway.”
“Huh? You can start a fire, Hayasaka-kun?”
“Probably. Help me gather some wood.”
――Ten minutes later――
The two of us worked together to collect wood that had washed up on the beach.
It’s pretty dry, so it might just work.
“What are we going to do with this?”
“Just watch.”
I pulled a metal match, also known as a fire starter, from my chest pocket.
By scraping a magnesium rod, sparks would fly, which could start a fire. It takes some skill, but I’d practiced at home.
I held the fire starter in my hand.
With my left hand, I grabbed the striker, a metal plate.
With my right hand, I held the other rod and aimed it at the wood.
Pulling it back slowly, sparks flew, and the dry wood caught fire.
“Wow!! The fire’s started…how does this work?”
“It’s magnesium. When you scrape the metal, sparks fly, and it catches fire. It’s a survival tool.”
“A survival tool…You just happen to carry something like that?”
“There was a time when I was really into survival videos. It’s not that expensive, you know. You can buy one for about two thousand yen. It’s handy if you ever get stranded on a deserted island like this.”
“No one normally gets stranded though…”
“Well, it’s happening now, so I’m glad I bought it.”
“I guess you’re right. Thanks to you, I can dry my clothes.”
Amane seemed pleased as she stood in front of the fire to dry her clothes.
I couldn’t help but watch her.
Her face is red, but she’s not turning away.
“Aren’t you embarrassed?”
“I’m mortified. But this is my thanks.”
“Thanks?”
“Thanks for starting the fire. So, I’ll let you look…but only for three minutes! If you look longer, I’ll poke your eyes out.”
“Scary. Okay, three minutes it is.”
She gave me an ultimatum like a certain famous colonel, but I got to enjoy the sight of Amane’s see-through clothes.
“So, how do we escape?”
“Hm…making a raft would probably just sink. We’ll have to wait for rescue. A boat sinking is a huge incident, so by now, the Coast Guard or a fishing boat must be searching for us.”
“Yeah, that’s true. Let’s do our best to survive until then.”
“Right. First, we need water and a place to sleep.”
The basics of survival.
First, securing water.
And a safe place to sleep.
If we can manage those two things, we’ll be okay.
“Why water? Isn’t food more important?”
“Humans can survive for up to two weeks with just water. Plus, finding water is difficult. We can’t drink seawater.”
“I didn’t know that…You’re really knowledgeable, Hayasaka-kun. That’s pretty cool.”
“Well, it’s just…something I know.”
If we can’t find water, there’s always the last resort…But for now, let’s focus on what we can do.
The island is quite large.
I can’t tell exactly how big, but it’s at least the size of one Tokyo Dome.
“It’s hot…Maybe we didn’t need the fire.”
“Hey! I worked hard to make that fire!”
“Ahaha, sorry, sorry. But it did help.”
As we walked toward the forest, climbing over a large rock, Amane fanned herself with her hand. She was sweating a bit…and looking a little…sexy. Her clothes were see-through again, thanks to the sweat.
I was sweating just as much.
Maybe we shouldn’t move around too much. It’s draining our energy.
“By the way, do you have a boyfriend, Amane?”
“That’s sudden. Why ask that now?”
“If you don’t want to answer, that’s fine. I was just curious. It’s a distraction from the heat.”
“…I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Really? You seem like someone who’d be popular. You’re cute.”
“C-cute!?”
Amane was so startled, she slipped.
Oh no!!
I instinctively reached out and grabbed Amane’s right hand…Safe! She almost hit her head on the rock.
As I slowly pulled her up, Amane ended up falling into my chest.
Oh crap, I used too much strength.
“Whoa!?”
“Ah!”
Amane ended up pushing me down, and I panicked.
Even though it was an accident, she’s in my arms!
So soft…Wait, no!!
“S-sorry. I used too much force.”
“N-no, it’s okay. You saved me…thank you.”
We both turned bright red and froze.
What should I do?
While we were stuck in place, there was a rustling sound from the forest. …No way!? Are there animals on this island!?
This is bad. If it’s a bear, we’ll be eaten alive.
I braced myself and—
It was…ahhhhhhhh!!!
