I Was Sent to an All-Female Frontline Unit to Get Rid of Some of the Trouble, but the Most Beautiful Girls Who Are Rumored to Hate Men Love Me So Much That I Have a Hard Time at Night - Chapter 52: Finn's Versatility (2)
Chapter 52: Finn’s Versatility (2)
Sephia told Finn she wanted to check his basic stamina first.
In other words, she tested Finn’s endurance without using body-enhancing magic.
Needless to say, stamina was a crucial factor for a soldier, so checking it first made sense.
Thus, Finn ran multiple laps around a distance that would exhaust an average adult man after just one lap.
“Teraward-kun isn’t slowing down at all—how amazing is that!?” Elena exclaimed in awe.
“I thought the same! Without magic, most people would slow down a bit, right!?” Sephia agreed enthusiastically.
“They would, they would!” Norn added excitedly.
“Also, his serious side profile is so cool…” Elena whispered dreamily.
“I get it…” Sephia murmured softly.
At the end of the tenth lap, Sephia asked Finn how tired he felt.
Finn answered honestly, “I’m still totally fine!” and Sephia confirmed his stamina was sufficient.
Next, they tested his magic control, which was equally essential.
Previously, Finn showed everyone his full-power magic and gained some recognition for his strength.
However, that was his maximum output, which required time to charge.
Naturally, the precision of attack magic cast instantly was very important.
“Okay, Finn-kun! I’ll create stones with earth magic in front of you, so shoot them down continuously!” Elena instructed clearly.
“Got it!” Finn replied confidently.
Finn nodded at Elena’s words.
Immediately, stones appeared at close and far distances.
Finn treated all the stones as enemy soldiers in a real battle.
In other words, if he missed even one, it would attack his comrades.
With that in mind, Finn fired non-elemental bullet-like magic and shot down each stone one by one.
“He shoots them down so fast…!” Elena gasped in amazement.
“He’s so quick yet aims so accurately—it’s incredible…!” Sephia marveled loudly.
“I’ve thought this before, but is he really just a trainee…!?” Norn questioned in disbelief.
Everyone seemed to be talking about something, but Finn focused solely on the task at hand.
He kept shooting down the stones Elena created until she finally stopped making them.
“Good! Your magic control precision is perfect, Finn-kun! Well done!” Elena praised cheerfully.
“Thank you, Elena-san!” Finn responded gratefully.
Finn thanked Elena for her praise.
After that, they tested his reaction speed by deploying defensive magic against attack magic.
They also checked if Finn could handle some of the magic used in team coordination.
As a result, they acknowledged his basic soldier abilities, and he was allowed to join coordination training without issues.
Right after, everyone rushed toward Finn and spoke with great enthusiasm.
“Teraward-kun! Running that much without magic shows amazing stamina!” Elena exclaimed excitedly.
“Not just stamina, but your magic control precision too!” Sephia added eagerly.
“You can use so many kinds of magic even as a trainee!” Norn noted in awe.
“I’ve never seen a trainee do that before!” Elena declared enthusiastically.
“Wow…!” Finn gasped softly.
After that, everyone continued to shower Finn with praise.
Back at the military base, junior girls often praised Finn highly.
Still, being praised by everyone here felt different from being praised by junior girls.
“Thank you! I’m really happy to get praise from all of you!!” Finn expressed joyfully.
Finn shared his feelings of happiness directly.
Then, everyone started muttering to themselves.
“Oh!!” Elena gasped suddenly.
“Teraward-kun’s smile…!!” Sephia squealed delightedly.
“Too cute…” Norn whispered adoringly.
“Not only is his magic amazing, but this cuteness is seriously intense…” Elena murmured dreamily.
“So cute…” Sephia echoed softly.
“Such a healing presence…” Norn sighed contentedly.
As Finn felt puzzled by their reactions, Elena, Sephia, and Norn approached him and spoke.
“Finn-kun! You did great earlier!” Elena praised warmly.
“Yeah, big sister couldn’t take her eyes off you!” Norn teased playfully.
“Your results were excellent in every way,” Sephia stated calmly.
“Elena-san, Sephia-san, Norn-san…! Thank you!” Finn replied gratefully.
“Elena-chan, Sephia-chan, and I each specialize in our own styles, but Finn-kun is so well-balanced!” Norn observed cheerfully.
“Yeah! With that level of skill, coordinating with everyone will definitely be no problem!” Elena agreed enthusiastically.
“Yes. With consistent training over time, you should be able to coordinate with everyone,” Sephia added confidently.
“Yes! I want to join coordination training with everyone and learn to work together quickly!” Finn declared eagerly.
“That’s the spirit. Shall we start then?” Sephia suggested calmly.
With Sephia’s words as the signal, Finn joined everyone’s coordination training for the first time.
As expected, everyone had fought together countless times, so thinking before acting made it hard to keep up.
Yet, perhaps because of the time spent with everyone, Finn felt no anxiety.
Instead, he looked forward to training more with them and fighting alongside them.
When night approached, Sephia spoke up.
“It’s getting dark, so shall we end training for today?” Sephia suggested calmly.
“Yes, Sephia-senpai!” Finn responded respectfully.
“Teraward-kun! Great job on your first coordination training!” Elena praised warmly.
“I didn’t expect you to match our movements so well for your first time!” Sephia noted in amazement.
“Thank you! But I’m still far from good, so I’ll keep working harder!” Finn replied determinedly.
Everyone here was so kind that Finn was tempted to rely on their words.
But because they were kind, he told himself he wasn’t good enough yet to avoid getting complacent.
“Then, shall we head back to the base and take a bath together as usual?” Norn suggested cheerfully.
“Agreed!” Elena responded enthusiastically.
“We moved a lot today, didn’t we?” Sephia added casually.
As Finn walked with everyone toward the base, he agreed with their words.
He moved a lot today, so he really wanted to take a bath soon.
A bath after training felt different from a regular bath.
“Wait…!? Does that mean we get to bathe with Teraward-kun…!?” Elena exclaimed in shock.
…Huh?
Finn perked up at the surprising words and listened as the voices spread.
“Oh…! Since we trained with Teraward-kun today…!” Sephia realized excitedly.
“Really…!” Norn gasped in surprise.
“No way…! We can bathe with Tera-kun!?” Elena squealed in disbelief.
Finn didn’t quite follow the conversation but spoke up anyway.
“Wait, please! I’m fine going after everyone, so don’t worry about me—” Finn pleaded quickly.
“We can’t make Teraward-kun wait!” Elena interrupted firmly.
“B-but—” Finn stammered nervously.
“Exactly! Tera-kun worked so hard today, so you need to bathe early and rest your body!” Sephia insisted kindly.
“W-well…” Finn hesitated softly.
Their words showed so much care for him that he couldn’t argue back, but bathing with about fifty people here…
Could Finn really do that?
He stopped walking and felt anxious about it.
“It’s okay, Finn-kun,” Elena reassured gently.
When Finn turned toward the voice, Elena stood there, smiling kindly at him.
“Even if something troubles you, I’m here for you… So, shall we go?” Elena encouraged softly.
“Elena-san…!” Finn gasped gratefully.
Right… At first, seeing everyone in bath towels overwhelmed his mind.
But after spending time with them and growing closer, the current Finn might enjoy bath time with everyone.
“Yes! Let’s go!” Finn declared boldly.
With strong determination, Finn prepared to bathe with everyone.
He and Elena started walking together.
They returned to the base, grabbed clothes, and arrived at the changing room.
As usual, Finn decided to face a blind spot in the changing room where he could avoid seeing or being seen and moved toward it.
“Wait, Finn-kun!” Elena called out urgently.
“Huh…?” Finn responded in confusion.
Despite Elena’s attempt to stop him, Finn had already pushed the door.
Right after opening the changing room door…
“Oh!?” Finn gasped in shock.
On second thought, with about fifty people, there couldn’t be a blind spot in the changing room.
Finn’s vision caught glimpses of several people’s cleavage through unbuttoned tops.
He saw legs as skirts were being removed.
He noticed undone underwear hooks, ready to come off.
Seeing about fifty people like that, Finn’s mind went completely blank in an instant.
