Shizuku Himeno – Final Act, Part 2: Beyond Regret
When I regained consciousness, I clung to my mother and desperately begged to be transferred to another hospital.
Seeing the name on the doctor’s nameplate brought everything back to me… Ryusei, the man who deceived me, had offered me up as a sacrifice to vile, animalistic men who trampled on my dignity as a woman.
And now, the future where I could nurture new life—a future granted only to women—had been cruelly and brutally taken from me.
I can’t forgive this…
I can’t forgive this…
I can’t forgive this…
I’ll kill them! The scum who betrayed me, the ones who stole my dignity as a woman! I’ll kill them all!
At the small hospital where I was transferred, the diagnosis remained the same, and since my external injuries had healed, I was discharged that very day.
Back in my room, which felt strangely unfamiliar after so long, I suddenly remembered something. I dug through the trash can, retrieving the torn pieces of the letter Ken-chan had sent me. With a blank mind, I spread the pieces on my desk like a puzzle, carefully taping them back together.
“Beware of Iketsuki.”
As I gently traced the wrinkled, tape-covered letters, tears began to spill naturally from my eyes…
“Sob… Why… why did I… where did I go wrong…? No… everything was wrong from the very beginning… Even when we first met… he saved me from that stray dog… If only… if only I had believed this letter… sob…”
Tears dripped onto the letter, but they only slid off the surface of the tape, never reaching the paper—just like me, trembling uselessly on the surface, unable to reach anything.
The emotional shock kept me from going to school, and I stayed holed up in my room. Meanwhile, at school, the scum who deceived me and the beasts who attacked me caused chaos, only to be taken down by Ken-chan and then arrested by the police. The internet and news were buzzing with the story.
I knew that Ken-chan’s actions were purely for his own revenge, not out of any consideration for foolish me, who didn’t trust him. Still, hearing about it in the news brought a slight sense of relief to my heart.
The police warned that some of the images and videos they confiscated from the phones might have leaked, which deeply upset my parents. Strangely, though, I felt nothing.
Later that evening, Kotone-chan came to visit. It seemed she knew quite a bit about what had happened to me from the letter Ken-chan had given her. She even explained the whole story to my mother about the scum who deceived me.
Ken-chan knew everything that had happened, so why didn’t he save me, like he did when he rescued me from that stray dog?
A dark, irrational anger welled up inside me, but when I looked at the letter with the words “Beware of Iketsuki,” I realized that all of this was the result of my own wrong choices.
My parents, after learning what the scum had done to me, filed charges against Iketsuki and the others. Since they were already caught and serving their sentences, my parents pursued additional charges and sought justice alongside other victims of Iketsuki and his gang.
Some victims had been pressured into settlements by Iketsuki’s father before the truth came out, and this was also covered by the local newspapers and media. The reputation of Iketsuki Hospital, run by his father, plummeted, and combined with other factors, it soon faced financial difficulties and quickly went under.
I continued to miss school, and eventually, like the scum who had been arrested and expelled, I was also treated as if I had voluntarily withdrawn.
However, after that, the school conducted a thorough investigation into all the bullying and disturbances that had occurred. It was discovered that the principal and vice principal had been accepting bribes from Iketsuki’s parents to cover up his misbehavior. They were both arrested and dismissed for bribery and tax evasion, while the teachers who ignored the bullying were forced to leave. The school underwent a major overhaul.
Thanks to the dedicated care and support of the new teachers who arrived afterward, I was able to attend evening classes and complete my high school education at the age of 20, two years behind my peers.
[Kurohitsuji-san, I’m heading out now.]
I sent the message to Kurohitsuji-san, with whom I’ve been chatting for a few years, and then closed the chat app.
Today, for the first time in years, I’m going outside…
Ryusei Iketsuki – Final Act, Part 3: Behind Bars
I told the police everything during their questioning—the time I bullied that mutt, how I deceived Himeno and set her up to be assaulted by the gang, how I manipulated my former followers into joining the gang and getting involved in crimes, and how I sold sex videos of my past girlfriends on shady websites to make some extra cash.
All I wanted was to be safe, hidden away behind bars, far from that wild dog.
“Hey, officer! How long do I get to stay in juvie?”
I asked eagerly, hoping for a long sentence. The officer responded with a look of disbelief.
“Look, kid, we don’t decide your sentence. This is a criminal case. The judge at the district court will decide your sentence based on the severity of your crimes.”
“No… No, that’s not good! I can’t be let out soon! You’ve got to help me!”
But since you’ve been so cooperative in solving the case and making the record so smooth, I “Well, you’ve been cooperative during the investigation, and your statements have been helpful, so that should work in your favor.”
“…”
In the end, I was sentenced to four years in juvenile detention. I was relieved, happy to be away from the daily beatings from that wild dog.
“This is your room from now on. The toilet is in the corner. Use the toilet paper sparingly. Meals are served in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Lights out at 9 PM. That’s all! If you have any questions, ask one of the senior inmates.”
I looked around and saw that everyone else was already lying down, covered with their blankets. “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” I waved dismissively, trying to get the guard to leave me alone. But that just made him angry, and he jabbed me hard in the stomach with his baton.
Ugh! I doubled over, clutching my stomach.
The guard spat in my face and sneered, “Don’t think you can disrespect the guards, punk,” before walking back to the guardroom with a cold glare.
Later that night, my bed was laid out in the spot closest to the toilet. The others in the room clearly didn’t respect me, making me sleep where it smelled the worst.
As I grew more irritated, suddenly, someone threw a blanket over my face. “Mmph…!?” I couldn’t make a sound. Then, out of nowhere, they yanked down my pants and forced me to turn around.
“Hey, grab the cream,” I heard someone say, and then I felt something cold against my rear. “Mmmph! Mmph!”
I tried to struggle, but several people held me down, leaving me unable to move. That night, I was assaulted by the other inmates all night long.
Whenever I tried to complain, they would gang up on me and assault me again.
Desperate, I tried to report it to the guards, but they just shrugged it off, saying they didn’t get involved in fights between inmates.
One day, after finishing my daytime task of folding envelopes, I returned to my room, only to find a dozen or so guys from other rooms drooling in anticipation, waiting for me.
“Ahhh!” I tried to flee the room in a panic, but my way out was quickly blocked. The assault on me continued until the guards came around to distribute dinner that evening.
Unable to endure it any longer, I thought that being placed in solitary confinement might be my only escape from this hell. So, I suddenly punched a guard, and it worked—I was sent to solitary.
The solitary cell was pitch dark with no windows, but the relief of being alone quickly lulled me to sleep.
“!?” I woke up with a start, sensing something wrong. Despite being in solitary confinement, several people had somehow entered my cell. The door was unlocked, and as a dim light flickered on, a guard approached me with a smirk.
“Hey, Iketsuki… You probably don’t remember, but my wife was one of the women you seduced. Not only that, you recorded it and spread the video online. She couldn’t take the shame and hanged herself. Pathetic, right? Falling for a high school kid, getting filmed, and then tossed aside like trash.”
“But you know, I’m pathetic too,” he continued with a twisted smile. “Here I am, crossing this dangerous line just to get revenge on the wife who left me. But hey, I got a nice sum of money upfront, and I get to settle a personal score too. Just like that person told me, let’s have some fun every day, shall we?”
“D-Don’t mess with me!! Aaaahhh!”
My pride was shattered within just a week of being incarcerated, and I finally understood what Fudo had meant.
A few months later, my lawyer came for a visit and told me about my family’s situation. As soon as I was arrested for my crimes, my parents had a huge fight. My mother left a divorce notice and walked out on my father, quickly abandoning him. Rumor has it that she remarried a younger man in another town.
My father’s hospital faced a flood of lawsuits from the families and husbands of the women I had harmed. Medical companies cut ties with him, and the hospital itself was on the brink of bankruptcy. The lawyer gleefully explained all this to me, adding that because my father couldn’t afford to pay the full legal fees, the lawyer wouldn’t be visiting me again.
Naturally, when I complained about how I was being treated in the juvenile detention center, the lawyer just laughed and said, “Why don’t you hire a public defender?” before walking out and never showing his face again.
For three years, I endured hell—my nails were ripped out because they hurt, my teeth were pulled because they got in the way, and my testicles were crushed because they were a nuisance. I faced daily violence, sexual torture, and vicious bullying. Every day, I regretted everything I had done and wished for death, but I held on because there was someone I needed to make amends to when I got out.
I learned about this through an anonymous letter from someone who called themselves “Kurohitsuji.”
First, my father—after the hospital went under, he faced intense backlash from the public. Unable to continue as a legitimate doctor, he became a private physician for criminal organizations, involved in illegal drug use and charging outrageous fees for questionable patients. Eventually, he became a wanted man, pursued by both the police and the criminal organizations he betrayed by stealing their money. He’s now missing, his whereabouts unknown.
As for Shizuku Himeno… the letter said that because of the assault by the Red Dragon gang that I tricked her into, she lost the child she was carrying—my child. Worse yet, the trauma left her unable to ever have children again. I decided then and there that I would spend the rest of my life atoning for this sin.
And as for Kenichi Fudo…
I served my four-year sentence as a “model prisoner,” which really just meant being a plaything for both the other inmates and the guards. My sentence was shortened by a year, and today, I was released.
“Thank you for everything,” I said, stepping outside the iron gates and turning back to bow to the one guard who had treated me like a human.
“Make sure you use your release money wisely… and try to live an honest life from now on.”
Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded. The guard gave a firm nod in return, then stepped back inside, locking the heavy iron door behind him.
Looking up at the sky, I saw the sun beginning to set as evening approached.
“So… what do I do now? How do I face…?”
Just then, I noticed a lone black car parked in the nearby lot. Someone dressed in black stepped out of the car…
