Damn I ended up acting out of character because of the generous tips.

“A-Ahem… Anyway! I’m going to start exploring now! I’m being serious now!”

It had been 30 minutes since the stream started. It was about time for me to start dungeon exploring for real. 

“In the first place, I didn’t start the livestream just to chat with you guys. I actually received a request to investigate the weird things happening in the West Tokyo Dungeon.”

[That means… Chatting with us for 30 minutes was a bad idea then. LOLOL]

[Chatting for 30 minutes straight in a dungeon with abnormalities going on?]

[Their first mistake was asking Hiiragi to do the job. LOLOL]

“Wait, wait, wait?! Just how many times do I need to tell you guys I’m going to start exploring? Besides, you guys were the ones who kept interrupting me!”

I said so while doing a light warm-up. Then, I grabbed the camera drone hovering in the air. 

“Alright. The screen is going to get shaky a bit, but please bear with it. 〈Shock〉.”

I last said before I accelerated through the dungeon.

“What? So there are monsters after all.”

After using Shock Blast〉 a few times, I sensed the presence of a monster in the dungeon. The presence felt weak though, like something out of the first floor of the dungeon. 

[Ughhhh I feel sick.]

[The way you’re moving through the dungeon is way too weird.]

[So this is what Hiiragi’s stream is like…]

[Oi! You don’t usually use Shock Blast for moving around though!]

“Well, this is my punishment to you guys for mocking me.”

Right. To be honest, I rarely used 〈Shock Blast〉 to move since I would get tired easily. Grinning to myself, I moved closer to the monster’s presence I had just detected. 

“Huh?”

But then, my feet came to a halt. Because… The presence of the monster that used to feel so faint before, suddenly swelled up. 

Splat.

And then, I heard the sound of water coming from somewhere.

“Kyui!”

A monster with a transparent and spherical body appeared. It was a slime. Slimes were known for being so weak that even elementary school kids could defeat them easily. 

“Kyui!”

“Kyui!”

Or at least, that should be the case if there was only one slime. More slimes started appearing out of nowhere. Then, suddenly, the ground lit up. The light was so bright, almost blinding. 

“No way… There’s no way…”

I couldn’t believe my eyes at the scene unfolding before me. 

“Kyui!”

“Kyui!”

“Kyui!”

“Kyui!”

Hundreds—no, thousands—of slimes were wriggling, all making that same ‘kyui’ cry. I had let my guard down because I didn’t sense any strong monsters, but as it turned out, this was a trap designed to hunt careless explorers.

[Wha-What’s going on here???]

[This makes no sense.]

[Gross.]

[Disgusting.]

[A stampede?]

[No, no. It feels a bit different from a stampede…]

“Kyui!”

While I was talking to my viewers, the slime closest to me suddenly lunged straight at my face. I dodged it easily, but… The attack from the first slime triggered the rest of the slimes. All of the slimes started closing in on me. 

“Wait! I’m still talking, you know?!”

I punched the slime that had jumped to ram into me. The slime flew away at an incredible speed. It slammed into the wall and splattered. There was no end to the slimes. I didn’t have any skills with a wide AOE… Ah, right. I could use that. 

“〈Madness〉.”

I muttered so quietly so no one could hear me.

Thump.

Heat surged through my body. A rush of excitement filled me. I felt invincible, like I could do anything. I was filled with an intense urge to fight everything in front of me.

“HAHAHAHA! It doesn’t matter if there are hundreds or thousands of you! I’ll kill every last one of you!”

I unleashed a barrage of 〈Shock Blasts〉 at full power from my right hand toward the horde of slimes in front of me. Indeed. Not just one 〈Shock Blasts〉. I shot 〈Shock Blasts〉 over and over again.

“Kyui!”

Choruses of ‘kyui’ echoed all over the area, but their cries didn’t reach my ear.

“DIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”

Slime after slime exploded. My entire body was coated with fluids from the slimes, but I couldn’t care less. I kept punching them to oblivion. 

[Huh? Somehow… His personality just changed?]

[No way. I thought he was the business-crazy type?]

[He’s not a madman. He’s a berserker.]

[This isn’t the Hiiragi I know!]

Viewers who had gotten to know about me after the viral livestream were perplexed by my sudden transformation. 

HAHAHAHA! That’s right! Finally… Finally! I will show them! I will make them realize that I’m not a tsundere, kind, or a humble explorer! I’m a crazy streamer!!

Or so I thought.

After I had defeated about 2/3 of the slimes…

Of course. There was a time when Hiiragi streamed like normal people. He didn’t use 〈Madness〉 right from the get go. However, back then, he only had 2 viewers at most. Hiiragi was convinced that since he had already deleted all the archives, no one would find out about that part of his past. Alas, as fate would have it, one of those two viewers had shown up, complete with a clip of that livestream as proof. 

“Alright….! Somehow, I’ve defeated them all.”

Hiiragi, who finally returned to his senses now that he had obliterated all the slimes, looked at the chat, only to be greeted with…
