I Reincarnated as the Villain Who Bullies the Protagonist in an Erotic Game, but I Just Want to Stay a Nobody, Yet Somehow the Heroines Keep Obsessing Over Me - Episode 15: Meeting Natsuki
Episode 15: Meeting Natsuki
It happened during lunch break, while Narita and I were eating our lunch as usual on the staircase—
“Hey, you two, sorry! Mind if I hide here for a bit?”
With her chestnut ponytail swaying, Natsuki Asahina suddenly appeared.
Shortly after, we heard a teacher calling out her name from the hallway, but the voice soon faded away.
“Looks like they’re gone… Yep, they’re gone. All clear now!”
Natsuki peeked out from the staircase into the hallway, then returned to us. What was this all about?
“Sorry about that. I’m Natsuki Asahina. A teacher’s been chasing me around, so can I stay here until lunch break is over? Please?”
She clapped her hands together in front of her, pleading.
“Fine by me, but… what did you do?”
Narita asked, and Natsuki responded with an embarrassed laugh.
“Well, I got a zero on every subject in the proficiency test. So now I’m stuck with extra lessons.”
“And you’re ditching them?”
“Oh, no, I already finished today’s session properly. I’m not skipping!”
Natsuki waved her hands in denial.
Right, this is exactly how she was in the original story. Not exactly bright—in fact, a total airhead—but she had exceptional athletic ability. She was already being talked about as a future ace in the track and field club, even as a first-year student. She’d repeatedly outrun teachers chasing after her but ended up scoring last place in the midterms as well. That’s when the protagonist began tutoring her, and over time, as they studied together, a romantic bond began to form.
“So, why are you running then?”
“I did the extra lessons, like I said, but then I scored zero again on the retake test. The teacher was furious and started chasing me down. That’s why I’m hiding.”
“If they’re chasing you, doesn’t that mean you ran off?”
Narita spoke with an exasperated tone.
“Well… they were really mad!”
“And they’ll be even angrier when you go back later.”
“I know, I know. But still… Hey, what about you?”
She turned to me and asked. “You,” meaning me, of course.
“I think you should go back.”
Either way, she’s stuck with extra lessons. In the original story, I’m not sure what exactly happened during the proficiency test arc, but I imagine she got caught and dragged back eventually.
“Ugh, fine. I’ll go back.”
“Hey, I managed to climb from nearly last in the grade to about halfway through studying. You’ll get through this.”
“Good luck with the extra lessons.”
“Thanks!”
With that, Natsuki nodded and dashed off. She was fast.
“Wow, she’s crazy quick.”
“Seriously.”
It was like a storm had just passed.
Still, I was relieved. That was definitely a background-level interaction. Sure, I wanted to interact with Natsuki to the point of tears, but this was fine!
I doubt I’ll be getting involved with her again after this.
