After making Lily a proper lady, we were finally released from the confinement room Freesia had prepared. However, even now, neither of them showed any intention of leaving my room.  

“What is it, you two…? If you’re asking me to take responsibility, I’ll give you as much of my wealth as you desire. Is that not enough?”  

Technically, I do hold a title and some land—I’m apparently a duke. Even if I split my fortune between the two of them, there would still be more than enough for them to live comfortably. I trust Freesia to manage it wisely, but Lily… I can’t shake the worry that she’d squander it all on extravagant pleasures.  

Yet, upon hearing my offer, both of them shook their heads vigorously.  

“No, Brad-sama, we haven’t received nearly enough from you yet.”  

“Me neither! Do you really think that little was sufficient?”  

“If not money, then honor? Freesia, I expected better from you, but you too, Lily? So you’re both just greedy materialists after all?”  

“I don’t need something like that either!”  

“Nor do I. What we want is Brad-sama’s seed… a baby.”

“Mhm!”

As I stood there, momentarily unsure, Freesia tightened her arms at her sides and swayed her hips from left to right. And just like that, her voluptuous breasts jiggled with a soft bounce like puddings.

I glared at Miinya, who was casually yawning on the table. As I closed in on the creature, it finally revealed its true nature.

“You’re obsessed with Freesia because she saved you when you were on the brink of death, isn’t that right?”  

“Geez, you even dug that up? I thought you were just some idiot, but it turns out you have at least a normal level of intelligence. I’ll have to revise my opinion of you.”  

“Know your place, beast. I will break free from your control and live as I choose. Until then, prepare yourself.”  

“Come on now, I was the one who helped bring you and Freesia together, you know? And this is how you repay me?”  

“I never asked for your meddling! I went through great lengths to ensure Freesia could find happiness with the one she truly admires, and yet, thanks to you, all of my efforts have gone to waste!”  

“Hmm… I thought you’d be a better match for her than those useless so-called Super Darlings. Don’t tell me… you don’t want to be with a girl as stunningly beautiful as Freesia?”  

“It’s not about that. I simply refuse to follow the scenario you’ve orchestrated. Freesia has her own life to live. You have no right to interfere with her choices! That’s all I have to say.”  

As I touched Miinya, I secretly peeked at its status. With my current strength, I could easily defeat it.  

However… if Miinya were to die, the world’s destruction would follow, and I didn’t see a way to prevent that.  

I needed to find a solution somehow…  

Just as I declared my resolve to Miinya, the futon on my bed rustled. We both fell silent, sensing the movement.

As soon as Freesia awoke, Miinya slipped away from me and nestled into her arms. There was no trace of the condescending creature who had just been speaking to me—it was now nothing more than an adorable, fluffy pet.

The three of them burst into laughter.  

Well, it made sense. They were finally free from my previous harsh treatment.

After granting permission, a knight entered and kneeled before me to deliver the report.

I was at a loss for words.  

“A plant-type monster… and it can speak?”  

“No, it doesn’t respond to our requests to stop. It only says, ‘You guys are in the way!’ before destroying forts and castles that block its path.”

There was a risk that I too could be turned into one , but more than that, the way this monster spoke sounded oddly familiar… and that was what really concerned me.
