I no longer want to be a part of this triangle! - Chapter 31- Abducted~3
“What happened, Ko-chan?” It was one of those days when Kohana could be seen sitting under the same tree where she hid from the other students.
It was in the backside of the school, and since the playground was in the front, other children seldom came there.
Seeing her friend approaching Kohana hurriedly wiped her tears. She couldn’t let her only friend see her pathetic self.
“I-Its nothing…” With her nose turned red and eyes swollen because of constant crying, Kohana assured her.
The brown-haired girl, who goes by the name Riko, sat down beside Kohana before asking, “Someone bullied you again?”
Riko and Kohana have been friends since last year and by now, Riko could guess what was wrong with her friend just by a single glimpse
Kohana shook her head but then she nodded. Riko is the only person to whom Kohana can tell everything. Her sister and other family members wouldn’t understand her.
“Hanabi blamed me for putting the dustbin scrap in her bag even though I wasn’t even in the class when that happened.” Tears welled up in her eyes again as she added, “She said that I am the only one who remains in the class during PE, so it must be me.”
Kohana couldn’t stop herself from sobbing. Hanabi was the only person other than Riko who showed friendliness towards Kohana. She is a very kind and helpful girl. However, today, she also became like others and blamed Kohana for something she never did.
Wiping her tears with her chubby fingers, she heard Riko asking, “Do you feel that me being your only friend is not sufficient?” Hearing those words, Kohana was startled. She expected Riko to console her like always; however, she unexpectedly asked something in a sober tone.
Looking at her friend, she heard the brown head adding, “Do you think having more friends is necessary? Am I not enough?” There was a sad smile on her face that made Kohana feel bad as she hurriedly said,
“I-It’s not like that Riko-chan. I…I just want to have a good relationship with my classmates-”
“But is it really necessary?! Didn’t I tell you that you shouldn’t care about what others think? Just focus on me and forget about others, Ko-chan!” There was a strange madness in her eyes that scared Kohana.
Riko soon realised the strangeness of her behaviour as she hurriedly withdrew her gaze and said, “Ah, I was just pent up. It makes me frustrated whenever someone bullies you. That’s why I don’t want you to be involved with those people.”
At that time, Kohana didn’t think about that look on her friend’s face much and believed her words to be true.
However, after she was abducted by the same ‘friend’ Kohana realized that she wasn’t actually looking out for her…the crazy girl just didn’t want Kohana to get near to anyone else. To not pay attention to anyone else.
That’s why she did those horrible things to others so they hate Kohana.
Riko wanted to possess Kohana, and for that, she once again kidnapped her.

(Present time)
‘How can I be so blind?’ Kohana couldn’t help but curse herself to realise it so late. Riko always manipulated her into believing that if there was any ally of Kohana, then it was her.
The only friend Kohana made in middle school was her, not because Kohana was unlikable but rather because her reputation was tarnished by this crazy girl.
Kohana went through those years of loneliness because of Riko, and once again, Riko isolated her with the intention of separating her from her Senpai forever.
Looking at the clock, Kohana found there was only seven minutes left. Her hands were tied, so despite how much she wanted, Kohana couldn’t attack Riko or try to escape.
‘If only I can get my hands on my bag…’ Glancing at her bag, which was about a few inches away from her, Kohana knew she could get rid of these binding cables.
*Struck*
However, the bag was kicked away by the person who was monitoring each of Kohana’s movements.
With a grin, Riko knelt before her dearest before asking, “Haven’t you become sly when I was away? I miss that sweet and innocent Kohana who took my words as the ultimate command.”
With a scoff she added, “Must be that cool Senpai of yours that changed you, no? What’s his name? Ah~Kazuki~” Turning her mocking eyes toward Kohana she said, “He looked worried when he came looking for you.”
Inching closer she whispered, “But did you notice? That pink-haired girl? Isn’t she your Senpai’s first crush? And also, the reason why he decided to date you?”
Kohana wasn’t shocked to hear that Riko was aware of her Senpai’s past. She had seen her brains before when she investigated every bit of information regarding her family, even though Riko was just fourteen at that time.
Now, she has spent a few months in the detention centre, and Kohana can clearly see that her insanity has surged even higher.
“Your absence won’t bother him for long since that girl will reclaim your Senpai’s heart. So I will ask you again: will you come with me willingly and abandon your family and lover, or do you want to die right here with me?”
Before Kohana could have even thought of saying anything, the doors of the room were pushed from the other side.
“Ah~I guess the playtime is over~” Riko heaved a sigh as she turned around and faced the police officers.
However, the eyes of the police chief widened from behind his glasses when he saw the culprit….not in person rather standing there behind the monitor screen.
Riko never was here.
‘No….this is bad…’
