Even though breakfast was already prepared in the kitchen, but Rielle and Chloe remained silent, only staring at each other. Yes. There were just Rielle and Chloe in the dining room. Kai and Nia hadn’t arrived yet. Chloe narrowed her eyes as she recalled the events that unfolded the previous day.

“Buuu….”

“…Ni-Nia? I really need to go to the bathroom.”

“No. Kai has to stay with me.”

“Huh?”

“Right. Let’s go to the bathroom together.”

“HEELP!!! CHLOE!!! RIELLEEE!!!!!”

Nia was determined to stick to Kai for a whole day yesterday and Kai, despite seemingly troubled by Nia’s clinginess, only smiled exasperatedly. Not to mention, since Nia was in Kai’s room last night… The fact that neither of them hadn’t shown up yet meant that… 

“…Chloe.”

“Yeah?”

“Do you want to come along?”

Even though Rielle didn’t say where, but Chloe immediately nodded and stood up from her seat.

“Yeah. Let’s go together, Rielle.”

“…They’re probably in Kai’s room, right? Those two…”

“Most likely~~ Well then, let’s go and take the head of that cheater~”

“Chloe?!?!”

Chloe uttered those frightening threats without batting an eye. They left the dining room and headed to Kai’s room. Chloe was leading the way with Rielle, who was trembling slightly, following close behind. That being said, Chloe actually understood why Kai did what he did. Kai and Nia were deeply in love with each other and their bond had been forged long before Chloe met them. The two of them had literally faced life and death situations together. Chloe herself also loved Nia. Nia was someone so dearly beloved to Chloe and Chloe couldn’t help but to feel guilty for getting ahead of her, especially considering how heavy Nia’s love for Kai was. Hence why, Chloe deliberately didn’t cross the line on the night she shared her first kiss with Kai.

But still… I can’t help but to feel vexed about it. 

Considering the nature of their relationships, Chloe knew it was best to let Nia had her turn first. A part of her knew that she had to step back and watch them be, but her emotions couldn’t agree with her logic. She loved him too. She loved him just as much as Nia did, maybe even more. She also wanted to have his first time.

Chloe’s cheeks puffed up in frustration as Rielle spoke softly. 

“We should probably knock first, right?”

“…Probably.”

“Fufu~ Your cheeks are all puffed up~”

Teasing Chloe, Rielle chuckled as she knocked on the door. As expected, there was no response from beyond the door.

“Hmm… Maybe they’re still asleep?”

“They’re definitely still asleep. Maybe we should break open the door?”

“Umm… Chloe? Yo-Your voice sounds a little… Ominous.”

“Hmm?~ Nopeeee~ Rielle, you’re imagining things~ I’m not angry at all! I just thought I should give Kai a tiny, tiny, tinyyyy punishment. That’s all~~ Fufu~ Alright, shall we open the door?”

“Oh. Ahaha… Ri-Right…”

Rielle could only laugh nervously in return despite the shiver running down her spine. Chloe was a ruthless assassin on the battlefield but she was usually so calm and composed outside of the battlefield. So for Chloe to be so consumed by jealousy… 

Kai, you’re truly full of sins…

Rielle thought to herself as she stared at Chloe’s bloodcurdling appearance. The light-hearted facade from earlier had disappeared, replaced by a face devoid of any expression. Chloe then flung the door open without any hesitation. 

There, before their eyes… They witnessed a warm and peaceful sight. 

“…Ooh.”

“HUH?!?!?!?”

Sunlight streaming in through the curtain. Nia was sound asleep while clinging to Kai and Kai was holding her close in return. The scene before them was so heartwarming that it was hard to believe either of them were the rumored demons. But, a certain part of the scene made Rielle’s cheeks flushed red. She quickly averted her gaze. 

On the other hand, Chloe’s stare was fixed on Kai. Her eyes were practically digging a hole through him. 

“…They really did it, huh?”

“The-They sure did… A-Ahaha…”

Right. The fact that they were sleeping while hugging each other was one thing, but the problem was… The two of them were completely naked. It was obvious what they had done last night. Anyone could tell that they had engaged in some couples-only activities the night before. 

Seeing this, Chloe’s eyes grew even colder. 

I knew it… I could feel it when he hugged me, but Kai’s body is surprisingly good. He has defined abs and his shoulders are broad… So this jerk had shown his amazing body to Nia before me?

Unable to suppress the fury of resentment, Chloe shook Kai’s shoulder roughly. 

“Oi, wake up, you cheater.”

“Hmm…? Ngh? Chloe?!”

“Kai…. Kai is cheating again….”

Still sleepy, Kai twisted his body a few times before finally opening his eyes a bit. Upon seeing Chloe’s furious face in front of him, Kai immediately snapped into focus. On the other hand, Nia was still asleep. She was sleep-talking about Kai even.

“Huh?”

“…”

“….Ah. This is… Umm…”

“Did you have fun yesterday? You must have had so much fun since you’re hugging Nia so tightly like that… It must be fun embracing Nia first before me, huh?”

“Ch-Chloe?! This is… Umm…!!”

“Hmm? Chloe? Ah, Rielle too~ Ehehe~ Good morning.”

“Yeah. Good morning, Nia.”

After acknowledging Chloe, Nia went to hug Rielle, who was right in front of her. Of course, since Nia was completely naked, Rielle became flustered by the skin contact. Despite looking a bit flustered, Rielle still patted Nia’s head and gently pampered Nia. However, on the other side of this heartwarming scene…

“I’m not angry, you know? I’m not angry at all.”

Even though Chloe said she wasn’t angry, but Chloe was pouting and turning her head away from Kai. She had turned into a completely troublesome woman. 

This is bad… What should I do…

Kai thought to himself while holding his head with his hands. 

“Nia.”

“Hm? What is it, Chloe?”

“Tonight is my turn, right?”

“….Hm?”

Kai was frozen in place for a moment, stunned by the outrageous exchange he had just overheard.

“Buuu… Alright. Tonight is Chloe’s turn.”

“Huh? Wa-Wait, what about me? Don’t you think you need to ask my opinion first?”

“So, Kai… I will be taking your time tonight. Oh, don’t worry. We’re not going to do anything lewd. As you can see, I do have my pride as a woman. Unless you make the first move… I will never…I will neverrrrrr touch you first!!”

“Like I said, what about me?!?! Why are you two sharing my time without asking my opinion first?! Isn’t it weird?? This is weird, right?!”

A scene where two girls, who were in a very good relationship with each other, sharing the same man together. This heartwarming scene was a far cry from the chaos of war and insanity outside. Amidst this tranquil scene, Rielle could only smile wryly. Her smile seemed to be laced with a hint of loneliness though.
